I am currently visiting Bozeman from Idaho and the customer service is absolutely terrible Me and my dad were buying alcoholic beverages and were both over 21 and We got carded not once but twice by a really Rude self checker cashier carding people twice is a little excessive and I've been legal drinking age for a while and I've never had that happen to me and it was the worst experience I have ever had in a grocery store read more

wasn't allowed to use self checkout as I had 20 items instead of 15. there was a dozen open self checkouts. had to go stand in a line of 5+ people to be checked out. last time I will shop there. read more

Prices, selection are all great. Fresh meat and chicken are excellent. However, checkout lines are ridiculous. Don't think you can beat the lines by going with the self-checkout. It rarely works as it should. Then you are stuck with a customer service person who is less than helpful. I'd rather pay a little more than deal with the lack of customer service. read more

I was shopping a few weeks ago, and I was over by the bakery. I see some guy wandering around, glaring at me, and he doesn't appear to be shopping. He then goes over to talk to someone inside the bakery door. I hear him talking really loud , almost yelling to the person in the employee part of the bakery ( a lady I think). He says " what do you mean? There's only one guy there- look at him, he's just staring at the bread ....doopy doo, doopy doo!" So, clearly the guy is talking about me with the employee, and he's being belligerent and obnoxious. Now I don't want to start a fight with this guy, he's wearing a sweater with a skull on it, and he's possibly drunk or on drugs. I have no idea what his problem is but I felt really uncomfortable, and seemed like he was trying to get his wife or girlfriend, who is the employee, to go home with him. So, I'm paying for my groceries and I want to complain to someone but I don't see any management, and the customer service area is empty. So I just decide to go home and send an email to the store. I got back a pretty generic response that they would investigate, but weeks later nothing. What was to stop this guy from attacking me if I said something to him? Does this store have security? Does that management even care about the safety of their customers? The answer is NO. So just know if you go here, there some sketchy people, some of which are quite brazen, and your safety is not a big concern for this store read more

I love WinCo...amazing prices and really high quality. Yesterday, I got red bell peppers for about $.45 each, when they are over $1 each everywhere else. The canned goods are also about half the price you'll find elsewhere. Those who whine about masks should move to California. Or if you really have such a low tolerance for life, just put on your own N95 mask and shut the heck up. I love freedom and WinCo and if you really are inclined to ding a business because YOU are freaking out about a virus with a 99% survival rate, perhaps you should just find a bubble to live in. read more

My girlfriend went shopping there. She went through self checkout. There was confusion when her daughter started scanning some things. Accidentally forgot to scan a few pieces of bulk candy. They detained her. They called the cops and she got a citation for shoplifting. If these corporations want to save money by not employing people to check out. They need to have some sort of understanding for stressed out parents. Not everyone is perfect. That is not a reason for this to be on her permanent record. Worst customer service experience I have had at a grocery store here. I was not greeted by the cashier, she was rude telling me my card didn't work, I tried to make a light joke and laugh. She then said "we'll thats the way it is" threw my receipt down and started checking out the next guests. Without saying thank you or anything else toward me as I bagged up my stuff. I love love love WinCo for their amazing selections and prices, so when I heard we were getting one in Bozeman, I was thrilled! Unfortunately the Bozeman store has turned me away. The customer service is appalling! One time, I was checking out at the self-checkout, and everything was going smoothly until I had to select my payment type. I was planning on using my debit card, as they only accept them at self-checkout. The screen was being glitchy so when I tried to select debit as my payment type, it selected cash, which I didn't have on me. In order to go back to select debit, an employee had to scan their card on the screen to help. He asked me "what did you do?!" in an accusing tone. I politely said, I am sorry! l accidentally selected cash and I need to use debit. He scoffed, rolled his eyes while scanning his card to fix it, and muttered something under his breath as he walked away... He scared me! On another occasion, I decided to not use self checkout, (because I apparently don't know how to use it properly.) I was in line at the checkout stations when I realized I had left my card in my car! This was my mistake, but I remembered I have Apple Pay. I understand some businesses do not accept apple pay, so I asked the clerk if they accept apple pay before it was my turn to be checked out. The guy didn't know about apple pay so he yelled at a large middle-aged clerk on the next station over and asked if we can accept apple pay. This lady smiled one of those fake rude smiles, and screamed, "do we take apple pay? We ABSOLUTELY .....do not!!!" It made a scene and others could sense her extreme sarcasm and rudeness. She told me to leave as if I had offended her? Overall just an extremely shocking and dreadful experience. I am just blown away by the rudeness and carelessness of the employees here. I know they get payed very well, so this is especially concerning. read more

I wish I could give a negative score. If the store does not give a #!@# about their customers during the Pandemic, they won't care when things are well. My only experience within the first 5 minutes. I encountered 7 people without masks. When I brought this to the attention of one of the two clerks who saw these seven maskless shoppers, the response was nonchalant and that worn out phrase "we are allowing our customers to be responsible." I spoke to David the store manager who kept repeating, we have a sign at the front door. Again if you don't care about keeping your customers safe and the community safe....You will not care about our community when things are going well. We have enough grocery stores who do care about us. Take your business to a Community minded and caring shop. read more

Went in for the first time a few days after the grand opening and observed about 20% (my estimate) of customers without face masks. That's a no-go for me and my family. If they don't appreciate their employees and customers enough to enforce the county mask mandate, I can't support them. Nearly non-existent organic selection, and customer service was awful. Helpers assigned to self-check found it more important to flirt with each other than to help customers, I observed. Overall very poor experience. read more
