THE WORST!!! Just came back from the casino. My machine had an error message that says " online play restricted" that popped up on the screen in the middle of waiting for the last coin to get the bonus, which did not happen after the message popped up! Pressed the service light and two attendants came over. Explained to the attendant what happened he pushed the door on my machine and said he thinks its a door problem. THE DOOR WAS NOT UNLOCKED OR HAD AN ISSUE. I said to him can you confirm and make sure because i've never seen this message before. He say it is a door problem. HMMMMM.... ok, so I left the machine to go check my rewards and was just chatting with the person checking my rewards. That person was so professional and said to me, I will call a supervisor to check out what happened. I thought that was nice given I hadn't mention much to him. The supervisor on the phone seem to have blown him off and sent the same people who had no clue what they were doing when the decide to try to check the machine. When I got back to the machine and spoke to the new attendants who arrived she said yes, i've seen this before the machine says "call attendant" I said NO my machine did not say that it said it was restricted!!!! Then and there my frustration was at it's height. I said now I want you to confirm WHAT my machine said and WHAT it meant. She said oh the machine only shows the last 50 plays and you were before that time. So I said to her then you guys should be courteous you can't tell me what happened and I felt my machine had an error. They still did not explain WHAT THE MESSAGE ON MY MACHINE SAID AND WHY IT POPPED UP ON MY PLAYS. I AM PISSED!!!! on top of it, one of the fat loser attendant had the audacity after to apologize to a lady who was playing that did not say shit to him. But did not apologize to me for my inconvenience. PISSED!!!! Reporting this to the gaming control board and WIND CREEK you won't see me for a long time I stopped going there for over 2 years and I hate the fact that I gave in to go back because what a piece of shit place!!!! It sucks to know that after giving them your money they feel they can just blow you off when there is a problem. DO YOUR JOB!!! The Sands is a great place to see a concert. I tried to get tickets on Ticketmaster and the seats sucked and the fees were high. I got the seats on StubHub got much better seats with lower fees. I highly recommend both the Sands Casino Event Center and StubHub. read more

Wind Creek Bethlehem - The Doobie Brothers at the Sands - Casinos Near Me - Bethlehem, Pennsylvania

What really turned me off about this was that every employee, the cleaning staff, the food court staff, the ushers that helped out at the show (I was in the area to see a comedy show) anyway everyone was rude. I watched the cleaning staff nearly run over an older gentlemen and then laughed and kept walking. There's a bar that's right on the edge of the casino (part of the casino) and the spot yelled at people for taking drinks to the casino, even though it was part of the casino. There's a certain way to talk to people but screaming and being rude to people who are paying to be there isn't one of them. I probably would never come back here again. read more

You guys need to to update the fact that you are not 24hrs at the moment. Didnt like the fact you had to close everything down to sanitize. I understand you are trying to keep all your guests as safe as possible. But was a little upset not knowing ahead of my visit. And should have more table open due to the new 2 per table mandate. Ok I write a review on every place that I have been. My reviews are based on simple factors. 1. Did I enjoy myself. 2. Customer service 3. Overall price 4. Food price and Taste So I've at the Sands many time and if you like to gamble or looking for a night out with the sweetie on a fun evening and maybe even a stay in one of their beautiful rooms. I like that if I want to play a table game there is plenty of seats. I have not tried the buffet yet but the food court has excellent food. I found the slots to be great all the games I like to play only used $100 and it kept me going a couple of hours. I love casinos I find them fun and a way to relax. My best friend and I decided to stay here in the hotel for my birthday weekend 4/21-4/23. We made our reservations about a month in advance through Booking.com. Because I am normally a meticulous planner (to a fault), I told myself: "Just relax, go with the flow, don't get crazy like always..." Definitely my first mistake. Something just TOLD me to call and check on our reservation, so I did just prior to us getting on the road. The hotel could not find our reservation and after a half hour, 3 phone calls, 2 different people and me close to tears they miraculously found our reservations. Once we got to the hotel, check in was smooth and the staff apologized profusely for the mistake. The room was clean, spacious and honestly nicer than expected. We went to play in the casino shortly after check in, and really enjoyed ourselves...But we had difficulty trying to get any drinks. It was like pulling teeth with the waiters walking around with drinks. First and foremost they were few and far between, and all but one was very rude during our entire stay. I've never had this issue at any other casino I've been to, especially considering we not only spent quite a lot on our room, but we spent just as much if not more in the casino itself. The casino is the main reason for my 1-star review. The staff is very unhelpful and extremely demeaning. I will not return to this establishment. read more

I recently had a 4 day business conference at Wind Creek Bethlehem. The Wind Creek staff couldn't have been more helpful. They were very accommodating to last minute requests, very profession, the food was FANTASTIC and the rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff who took care of my group made everyone feel at home by quickly learning there preferences, food restrictions and needs. The banquet people were phenomenal. I can't begin to thank them enough for al of the extra miles they ran for us. I would highly recommend Wind Creek Bethlehem for any social or business event. read more

My first impression of the new Wind Creek Resort, formerly the Sands Casino in Bethlehem, PA is not very positive. The bars are filthy dirty, the machines are dirty and about 25% are out of order. The Pit Bosses do not care about the players and have no interaction whatsoever. The casino is full of video Blackjack to maximize profits, but it's a very cold feeling and not enjoyable. This facility is all about squeezing every penny out of their guests, it had been going down hill while under the ownership of the Sands, but it has rapidly desended under Wind Creek management. I might add, I noticed a few stores closing in the mall on my way way to the hotel. There were not many shoppers on Saturday during the day or evening. I wouldn't be surprised if this entire facility closes in a year or less. I was pleasantly surprised with our stay in the hotel. We had issues in our room on previous stays, but everything was in working order this time. The front staff was extremely pleasant and upfront about learning the new system Wind Creek had put in place. The room rate was reasonable at $184.00 plus tax for a Saturday night. We talked over breakfast and decided we will never return. Their money grab was very noticeable and we never felt we had even a slim chance of winning anything. Ok, went to the Martina McBride concert at Musikfest (courtesy of the Sands). Concert was excellent! Seats were good too! Slot machines still ate my money :( Lost my a** on those. Played the table games. They have texas hold'em with $10 minimum. I played and won a little (more that I did with the slots). Should have played more on the tables. Didn't try any of the other table games. Would have probably played more if the minimum was $5. If you play the bonus on a $10 table and stay in the whole game and add money to each round, you are out $55 if you lose. I would be more willing to stay in (or risk it) if it was a $5 minimum. read more

This casino is located about an hour from New York City, free parking, easy accessed. They have membership cards where you can accumulate point and get free merchandise and vouchers like every other casino out there. If you're new here definitely sign up to get one, because new member get a voucher book with a bunch of cool things in there, but make sure tell the receptionist you don't want any annoying promotion mails going to your house, unless you want that. This is a fairly small casino but it has everything. The only thing I dont like is it smells like cigarettes everywhere you go. I dont smoke so it's a problem for me. When I get home my clothes reek of cigarette odor. Another thing is its like a retirement home, a bunch of elderly people just sitting around not even gambling. Definitely check it out, but dont bring any atm or credit cards. read more

Sands Bethleham is the best PA casino I've been to. A large casino awaits all your degenerate fantasies. Plenty of slots and table games, plus free drinks for those playing. Several bars located on the casino floor, plenty of dining options throughout, a concert venue, an "outlet" mall, plus rooms are all spiffy. In all, you'll have a good time here. The casino itself is way too smokey, with nothing separating the huge smoking section from the relatively small non-smoking section. And while there are plenty of dining options(several restaurants and a buffet, plus a large food court), none of them are cheap. So you might want to hit up a Wawa before going. read more

Came here on Easter Sunday, the place was not very crowded for obvious reasons, quite enjoyable though. I spent the entire day in the casino, also had lunch at the burger place inside the casino. Food was good, gambling was better. $10 craps tables are a gift from the gods, had a lot of fun and won some great money after a days worth of playing. It's not the best, but it's something to do when you're bored and in the area. I only come here for the casino area, but I would like to try their spa. The games can obviously get addicting, the food options are nice and good, but kind of overpriced. The concerts are probably the best thing about here. I love the live music and all the bands I have seen are always really great. The stale smell of cigarettes in the air gets super annoying and you leave with the smell all in your clothes and hair. Was recently playing keno slot machine in smoking section when I noticed a cockroach crawling past the lower portion where buttons are located. I pointed it out to old timer sitting next to me saying "it's heading your way". He nonchalantly gave it a whack with his empty cigarette box. As you enter, you approach two lines. One is for customers under 30, the other for those over 30. Both my husband and I are over 30 so we went in the over 30 line, only to be told we had to turn back and stand in the long line for those under 30... The security guard at the over 30 line refused to even glance at our licenses to see we are, in fact, over 30. This was extremely annoying and made absolutely no sense. After finally getting in, we were ID'd again by the bartender. Why!? Overall the staff here acts as if you are bothering them by being here. Restaurants close at 9-10. There are no free drinks offered. We were also never up the whole night at any point which seems very unusual.. next time I will drive double the distance to go to AC. This place seems to take advantage of knowing they're your only option in the area. read more

What a terrible place. Checkin at 5pm and checkout at 10am. Talk about ridiculous. Toilet made noise all night. It is impossible to find the elevators to the rooms from the lobby or the casino. They are tucked away somewhere in the middle of the shopping outlets. Lastly, the parking garage is literally at the opposite side of the lobby / hotel checkin. I just left the sands casino and resort. I walked down non smoking towards one of my favorite slots, when an officer in a yellow shirt told me the section I was about to walk into was closed, I immediately turned to move away from the area when the guard again yelled madam move over here with gestures like I was a plane coming in for a landing. His tone and gestures where uncalled for. He was the rudest and unfriendliest guard I've ever encountered. I did tell him that he didn't have to be rude about informing me the section was closed. I'm an Army Military Police Veteran. I speak English very well, I understood the first time. To add insult to injury, it took 20 minutes to find someone to report the incident too. And after hearing my statement, and writing it for the record. I don't believe a thing will be done. I didn't even get an I'm sorry for your experience. I got we will look into it. I've been going to the Sands for years, enjoying their eateries, mall, and slots. I even rung in 2017 at the casino with friends, but never again! I will never return! I would rather travel to the Poconos or even Philly for better treatment of their patrons! If you like being treated like a human being the Sands Casino is the wrong place to visit! Update: Casino security are a real negative here. They believe they're police officers. Always have an attitude. Complimentary drinks at tables contain no alcohol, at least in my opinion. The player rating system is very off. I can play $5k in two hrs and the Sands has me rated for $300 play for 30 minutes. The comp system is supposed to reward play and loyalty, and it has the opposite effect. I only continue to visit Sands due to its proximity to a shooting range nearby that I visit regularly. Shooting range is called Heritage Guild in Easton, PA. Also recommend going to a great restaurant & bar for lunch or dinner- it's called Social Still and is a few hundred feet from Sands Casino. read more

This casino is garbage. There are never any drink waitresses around, their comp system sucks, the restaurants are terrible and they lack any full pay video poker slots for the avid player. Attended my annual Christmas Party with an association the I am a member. Last year's party the food was exceptional. Best prime rib I had ever eaten. Well, this year, no carving station. Also, staff cleared dinner dishes but left the desert dishes, napkins, and silverware to clutter the table. Food was ok but that is it. Same with desert. Building, room, staff, were all ok as in years past. No change except for the big Wind Creek sign and each employee got new uniforms. read more

If have been to the Sands many times. I will say my most recent visit will be my last. The casino is over run we large crowds of people who come by bus, but are not gambling. These people as well as homeless people are sleeping in the seating at the slot machines. Disgusting. My husband was sitting at the bar and noticed the soda gun had fallen to the fall. I went on a Saturday afternoon, and it was crowded. However the smoke in the casino made the gambling area unbearable. I made my way over to the food court, and I was horrified. The Chinese people in the food court were extremely rude, loud, and acting like savages. The Chinese were all from the Fuzhou area of China. I think they are coming by bus in from NYC. I am also Chinese, but I was truly embarrassed by their actions. They were arguing with the food staff, trying to bargain on the food prices, and became angry when they didn't get what they wanted. One of the workers even told a Fuzhou guy to stop yelling at her. Another Fuzhou woman cut me off in line trying to ask for a free cookie. I don't think I will return to this casino unless I need some entertainment to watch some fights between the staff and customers. read more

A breakdown of The Sands Casino, told told through the eyes of a 30 year old New Yorker: GAMBLING: 4/5 There's a nice size poker pit that was very busy. There's a decent amount of table games with fair minimums. There's a ton of slots, but unfortunately none of them seemed to pay out even a little bit. Loosen em up a little Sands, damn. Cocktail servers come around pretty frequently and dealers/pit bosses seemed friendly. Overall, a nice casino. FOOD: 4/5 Nice dining options, everything from food court to high end restaurants. (I ate at Emeril's Chop House and at Joli Cafe, see separate reviews). SHOPPING: 2/5 There's a mall / outlets attached to the casino, but to be honest it's full of generic stores that have mediocre merchandise at prices that barely qualify as a sale. Guess, Puma, Coach, Under Armor, etc...MEH. The girls I was with were equally unimpressed. NIGHTLIFE: 2/5 Vision Nightclub didn't have a cover charge, and it definitely didn't deserve one either. Very strange crowd, consisting of everything from girls in skin tight dresses to bros in cargo shorts...There were acrobats swinging from the ceiling, guys making balloon animals, what is this fucking Barnum and Baileys!? Drinks were reasonably priced and there is bottle service (LMAO) available. And they made me tuck my tongues of my sneakers in.....which is hands down the weirdest dress code request I've ever received at a nightclub door. Besides Vision there's a center bar in the casino that's pretty cool. They had good drink specials. And there's a karaoke / cover band bar that I would avoid at all costs. CROWD: 3/5 You can tell a lot about a casino by the company it keeps. The Sands is very mixed. Some elderly ladies pumping money into the slots faster than you can say 'Wheel Of Fortune'. Some Asian men who appeared to be homeless looking over my shoulder while I played blackjack. Some thugged out ladies with their baby daddy name tattooed on their chests. And I apologize to anyone in the mullet wearing community that might take offense to this, but I deduct a star solely for having to gamble next to someone with a mullet. College kids. Middle Aged couples. Something for everyone I suppose. At the end of the day, the drive was closer and easier than Atlantic City, so I'll probably be back to gamble. I'll start off with the good things, the property is pretty nice, there is a lot of stuff to do around the old Bethlehem Steel site, the ArtsQuest center is conveniently nearby, parking is free, the facility is new. But... The food here is overpriced, I ate at Mo' Burger and Emril's Burgers and More. I paid more at these places than I expected, I understand its a casino, but if you're not going to charge for parking, you don't really need to charge this much inside. There was also a very long wait...on a Thursday...for Burgers and More. The place wasn't even that great, they need more seating. PA needs to enact a smoking ban, half the casino is non-smoking but it still smells the same. The carpets in the smoking area are covered in ash, and you can't avoid it because many restaurants and other things you want to see are on that side. The hotel is pretty bland, I felt like I was in a motel that was recently renovated. They had a nice TV and lots of hookups to plug in your devices, but the window was small, the bathroom was dim, the toilet was in the same room as the shower, yet the sink was outside and on a carpeted area. The pool is bad... its a tiny shallow square pool in a cement room. For the price I paid for this room, I could get a nice room at Caesar's or one of the higher end casinos in AC. I also could have got a couple nights with a player's club discount rate in any of the other hotels in AC. (And at Harrah's or Borgata, I'd have access to a GREAT pool) I'm a younger guest, and I get carded, I understand, but the security there is VERY rude about it. It actually made me decide to only play the free play I had earned and leave. I logged a complaint at the security desk, where the gentleman working there was actually polite and understanding. I've only been treated like a criminal once by a guard in Borgata. Other than that in AC, I've been treated like I haven't done anything wrong, but still need to show my ID. I was in the area for a concert at the ArtsQuest center and I stayed in the area to avoid driving too much in one day. Next time, I'll take the drive. I don't need to go here again. read more

If you're under 40 I'd skip it seems to attract an older crowd (With good reason). All the restaurants are overpriced. The staff is so rude!! We had a waitress who was nasty for no reason. She overheard my friend call her a bitch..and she tried to have security kick us out..they said she was nasty to them as well! When that didn't work head of security came to kick us out..and without any solid proof he did! He tried to clean it up by saying we were no longer playing..but there were so many people who were all around not playing as well. Totally unpleasant experience! 3 CASINOS, 3 DAYS!! Sands Casino Resort Likes: Loved the scenery and steel mill accents all around the casino floor. LOVED the open floor plan with lots of room to move around. Slot selection was probably the best of our three stops. The parking garage was nice. The only one of the three to offer this. Dislikes: Was not offered any sign up bonus on our club card for first timers, weird?? This is the only casino in the country that doesn't give bonus slot play for new members??? The drive to find this place is VERY DIFFICULT. There were two billboard advertisement's but both lacked directions or exit information??? Thank god for TOM TOM. This was our third stop on our last day and we were both impressed and not impressed. The slots offered VERY LITTLE action and took our $500 within 4 hours. Noticed that if you were betting the minimum (other players) you saw more action?? You would think that larger wagers would be welcomed and would play a bit looser. I guess playing more than 40 cents is not welcomed in this establishment. This place is very open and we enjoyed the atmosphere and sights but couldn't stay longer as the slots were tight and ended our fun to fast. Like I've said in our previous posts we don't mind losing we actually expect to lose, but we expect entertainment for our dollars and that just didn't happen here at the Sands. This ranked 2nd on our list of 3 as being marginal, because we did like the casino looks and roominess, but hated the TIGHT slots. We will not be returning to this casino ever again.
