Kathy M. Tucson, AZ Is posting false statements due to her own incompetence with cats & failure to abide by the contract she signed. She was advised to take the kitten to her own vet within a set time frame on the contract, but she chose not to. She then introduced an untested cat from the pound into her home with the kitten. This would be on HER, not the breeder. When of course the kitten is around an untested cat there is a high chance of some type of something the kitten might catch. Upon the kitten from Wind Haven getting sick we were in contact with her diligently with any help we could provide. I, personally, tried several times to arrange times to go all the way down & pick up the kitten so we could help it, but she refused. The last time I finally did get her to agree to me going to pick the kitten up, that same day she went to a vet & had it put down. We received all the vet reports, and nowhere in any of the testing was done for FIP, and the FIV/FELV tests came back 100% negative. All the reports that the vet (who is not familiar with exotic cats to begin with) said was it "was suspected" due to her opinions talking to him/her. Since then, this person has been harassing & filing false statements on any platform that she can think of to try and sway public opinion her way. She contacted the sheriff's Dept. who came out & left after seeing her complaint was false. She has been harassing our vets & employees with phone calls & e-mails, even though she has been asked multiple times to stop, by them all. She refuses to accept that it was HER responsibility to care for the kitten correctly & to not only get the kitten tested when she first received her but to also get the cat from the pound tested BEFORE bringing it into the home with the kitten. This responsibility lies solely on her. I understand wanting to blame others for our failures, but as adults, we must take responsibility for what we have or have not done. The vet report she provided states she had the kitten put down late in the afternoon of the day I had just talked to her & set up a time to go pick the kitten up the next morning. I don't understand why Yelp or powers that be have removed my post about my doing business with the owner Carol Drymon/Wind Haven Exotics. I will repost AGAIN on 2/27/18 ... I purchased my first Cheetoh kitty from Carol (owner of Wind Haven Exotics) in August 2009 for $700 plus $100 to her son who was visiting her in AZ but he lives in same town I do - San Diego; so son drove Bo from AZ to San Diego and I picked Bo up at son's home at 1 am in the morning. My furry, healthy big boy BO has such a wonderful disposition and everyone loves him to pieces. Carol is very conscientious when it comes to her kitties. Anytime I have a question, even after 8 years, she is quick and happy to respond. I was lucky to get a second kitty from Carol over three years ago ... a female Cheetoh - Daisy, and again, another wonderful furry baby. The two cats are playful and love playing fetch, and they do a little indy 500 around my apartment at least once a day. They are such a joy! If you are looking for a healthy and happy kitty, I highly recommend a kitty by Carol, you won't be sorry. read more

I have known Carol for 15 yrs. My daughter had the first Cheetoh male from the first Cheetoh litter born on 1 Feb 2003, and I have the second male, Rocky, 15, he's my soulmate. These cats are truly amazing and unique. The Cheetoh breed is a gift from Carol to those of us who realize it. I cannot say enough positive things about Carol, the kindhearted, caring and honest person she is and the environment and care she gives her mom's and kittens! There are no cages or bars in her house, it is truly a whole-cat experience to visit. What most people don't know is that she also does rescue work and provides homes for several older cats who require medicine and ongoing special care for conditions that would have otherwise caused them to be euthanized at the shelter. She also fosters and adopts cats and rescues various wild animals when the situation presents itself, working with local wildlife authorities. More breeders should be like Carol! read more

My family has had 2 Savannah cats join our family that we got from Wind Haven. One is a retired mom cat with the loudest purr as soon as she see us. She is in perfect health. We also have a kitten, Well she is almost a year old now. She is such a cuddle girl. She loves my daughters. She also is in perfect health. We are lucky enough to live close to Wind Haven so I have personally been to where Carol breeds the cats. It is very evident that she takes such good care of all the cats in her care. After visiting, you can tell that she gives attention to each cat. Any time I have had a question, Carol has been extremely friendly and showed great knowledge about Savannah cats. Not only would I recommend getting a cat from Wind Haven but we will eventually add another cat to our family. read more

I cannot speak to the health of my kitten (actually kittens; I am getting 2!) as I don't have them yet. However, I can say I am not concerned whatsoever as to the integrity of this breeder (Carol). I was given her name from my nephew who purchased one of her cats more than 10 yrs ago. That cat is still thriving. My nephew had only good things to say about this breeder. In my multiple interactions with her, Carol has consistently shown a sincere dedication and love for her animals. She is highly responsive to any questions and operates her business professionally, while at the same time maintains unbreakable integrity. Her character simply shines. We purchased a cheetoh from Carol at Wind Haven Exotics almost two years ago. She still calls/emails just to check up on him. You can tell she loves every kitten who leaves her home. When we purchased our kitten, we visited her home and watched her lovingly interact with her cats, kittens, dogs, and horses. Her home is immaculate and you can tell all animals are cared for with respect and love. In fact, before a kitten is delivered to his new home, Carol keeps the kitten with her so that he gets special alone time. Everyone who meets our cheetoh (Helo) falls in love with him. I've traveled from Alaska to Vernon to pick up the healthiest, prettiest, smartest, and most energetic Cheetoh kitten from the kind, caring woman who created the breed. More than a year later, our little Lena is growing into a gorgeous cat, highly social, and still healthy and so so smart. It hurts to see people who blame others for their own wanton behavior. We adopted him from Carol in 2012 and he is the sweetest, HEALTHIEST, most loving boy I could ever ask for. We have visited Carol's cattery on numerous occasions and it is exceptional. The breeding apartments are clean and spacious and the kitten room is adorable. We've bought 3 Cheetohs from her and we had a litter from 2 of them with the expectation of becoming breeders. Last May, we brought our first Cheetoh home (Rach) and he is so fantastic and such a love that we brought another Cheetoh (Dayenu) home in mid-September! We got 2 kitties from windhaven exotics last year with the intentions of them being therapy cats for my autistic children.
