The homes are nestled in a real, beautifully wooded neighborhood, not in the more congested part of town. You can experience all the best of the views and tranquility of Estes Park, just like the locals do. And the national park is super close!

We enjoyed using the gas grill and pleased that they had plenty of pots and pans available to have a cook out. The home has a view of the river from the patio that we enjoyed. The management was very helpful and stayed in touch with us right before our arrival. On our last night there we thought to pack the truck and get everything ready to head back home at 4am the next day. We got back from Denver pretty late that evening as it started to get dark. My husband and father loaded the truck with our luggage on our luggage rack on top of our SUV. It is pitch black at night in Aspen Brook. No problem for us we didn't want to inconvenience anyone, except that its rather difficult to load a truck in the dark. Our parking spot was not next to the home it was across the road, so my husband parked the car right next to the home to finish loading the truck and get some visibility with the porch light on. As we were finishing up management called me and told me we could not park there and I told her we were just finishing up loading the truck and would move it in a few minutes, she agreed and hung up. When I got off the phone I walked over to the porch and saw an older man standing next to our truck flashing a light into the windows of the truck. When I asked him if I could help him he yelled and said I couldn't park there to which I replied that we were almost done loading and would move it asap as soon as we were done and that we had just gotten a call from property management. He screamed "what if an ambulance needs to come by"!!!?? I repeated to him again that we were almost done and would move it soon and went back inside. I tried calling management back to ask who this man was, no answer. At that point I emailed property management. I said we had no problem with the call but was it really necessary for the older guy to come yell at us and on top of that snoop/shine his light into our truck??? Its a week later and never got a response from the email I sent to property management.

I will never use this property management company again nor do I recommend them. We booked a cabin…read morefor 2 days. The booking process was simple and completed by phone. We received an email with attachment showing the check-in process and the combination to the lock box for entering the cabin. Check-in time was 3pm per paperwork, we showed up at 4:20p. Upon arrival, housekeeping was present and had not even started cleaning. They informed us it would be at least an hour before we could check in. We were 2 moms with 5 children who now had to find a way to entertain our kids while waiting. I called to speak with the manager in regards to the lack of check-in. Speaking with Marnie, she informed me she was present at the property at 3pm and was aware that housekeeping had not cleaned. Marnie had spoken with them and knew they "would be there shortly". None of this was communicated with us so we could make other arrangements. We arrived back at the cabin at approximately 8pm. Upon arrival there was no functioning lock box, all doors of the cabin were unlocked and there were no signs of the keys. We entered, the entire cabin smelled of animal urine. There was no working Wi-fi, cell service was not available and the house phones were also not functioning. We had no way of contacting the property management company on the mountain. Since we had 5 children and it was now late, I left them and the other mom to attempt to get settled in as I went down into Estes Park to get phone service. I emailed every contact I had at the property management company and left messages on the managers voicemail. We were left to make the most of the situation. In the morning, Marnie came by the property to check on us and deliver the keys. She informed us that: 1. Yesterday when she came to check on the property at 3p she was not able to get in. 2. She stated that she checks to make sure property is ok and ready. Despite no housekeeping and not seeing inside the cabin she okayed the cabin for guests. 3. She reported check-in time was changed to 4p, nothing was communicated with us about the change, but either way, we were present at 4:20p and it still was not ready. 4. She confirmed there was an animal present from the guests prior and housekeeping took longer to clean because of it. 5. When discussing the odor, she stated she could send housekeeping back out. We declined, if they could not rid the place of the smell the first time what would they be able to do differently? The carpets would need to be shampooed. 6. She reported she would send a workman regarding the phones and have the lockbox fixed ASAP (neither of which was completed) 6. We were able to reboot the WiFI to get it to work. Per Marnie, it happens often. (Was not listed in the instructions or information). All Marnie did was give validation to our concerns and anger. Nothing was done to change the situation or help. The cabin was definitely not worth staying at. Marnie is a poor manager and a poor communicator. We received an email after we checked out to inform us the owner was by and a workman would be sent out. We were given a gift certificate for mini golf for all of us the night before checkout because of the problems we endured. Too little, too late.

Make sure you take pictures of your rental when you arrive, with a date stamp, if you're going to…read morerent from these guys because they'll keep the majority of your deposit and make up stuff about how you left the house a mess. When we arrived, on the surface, the house was beautiful. The owners obviously spent a lot of money to make it comfortable. But then we started looking around and the bathrooms were still dirty, there was trash still in the garage, trash inside and outside the house...and get this...someone left PANTIES on the top shelf of one of the closets that had a thick coat of dust on them...really?? How long had those been there??? Also, there are a very few towels, so if you like to be dry after a shower, be sure to bring extra. Maybe some extra bedding would be good too, because there wasn't enough of that either. Oh yeah, there's a closet with extra towels and linen in it, but there's a note on the door that says that if you use them, they'll charge you for it. Oh, and bring paper towels and toilet paper, because there wasn't enough of that for even two days for us, so we had to go out and buy more. There's a hot tub that fits 4 people. We used it twice, for about an hour each time and then they had the nerve to say that we left it really dirty and it required extra cleaning. And get this...we're a group of women with the average age being 40-45. We get a letter saying the neighbors (the houses next to us were empty) complained about loud parties. Riiiiigggghhhhtttt. Most of us were in bed by 11pm. I'm sure if the owners knew that the house wasn't being kept clean they'd drop the management company in hot second. Estes Park is beautiful and I'd go back tomorrow if I could, but I'd rather sleep on the back of a horse than rent from these crooks again.

Helping renters find housing seems to be her very charitable priority, by asking for lower rents than other property managers in the area and giving renter applicants every benefit-of-the-doubt and leases to people with questionable credit and criminal backgrounds and shaky references. Great for struggling homeless tenants! But a nightmare for landlords / homeowners! I highly recommend that people read Yelp's "not recommended review" that can only be seen by scrolling down and clicking on the link for it. I totally agree with it! - especially about the difficulty communicating with this agency and their frequent practice of lying (when backed against the wall when they don't honor their agreements). I tried to work with this agency for 3 years, but have learned from my mistake and will never be back! I had a WAY worse "nightmarish tenant" than the one described in Greg B.'s 3/24/2022 review, but instead of thanking BCR for helping me through it, I blame them for causing it - with their very lax tenant screening process! The extreme financial property losses I have suffered from my BCR nightmare far outweigh the small rental income I ever received. Homeowners and landlords BEWARE!!!

What was even better is the remarkable customer experience I had with Claire. Unlike most of the other showings where the conversation was hurried, cold and transactional, this one was warm, welcoming and actually enjoyable. Claire was gracious, very knowledgeable and thoughtful - even helping me consider what it would be like living in the house on a daily basis to make sure it would be a good fit for me. It was like meeting a new best friend - easy and friendly. Being an executive coach, I was intrigued and asked about her business. She talked about her owner partner, Kristin, how much they love their work helping good people find good homes. A day later, I went to their office and met Kristin. These two are special - smart, warm, engaging - and they know serving their customers exceptionally well is essential. They get it. Michael L.

"Little prospect mountain"…read more The location of this property is outstanding and as they recommend, make sure you have 4 Wheel drive or at least all-wheel drive in the snowy months. It's centrally located two minutes from downtown, Estes Park. The exterior of the cabin is nice. The interior of the cabin is OK but more upgrades were needed in my opinion. The kitchen, laundry room, bathrooms and door handles had been upgraded already so at least that was a plus...the cabin was probably one of the most stocked rentals I have been too, which made me think maybe the owner uses it often?!!!! Anyway, the cabin sits on the top of a hill and the views are nice I must say. there is a wraparound deck to ensure you can see every angle of the city. NOW, the CONS--To me the beds and the pillows def need to be upgraded. We had a TV in the master bedroom that was not working since February 6 the "note said"...unacceptable...we had a door knob that just came off in one of the guest rooms upstairs, as my fiancé was trying to pull the door closed as the baby slept ...we had a mysterious shower leak upstairs that entered one of the spotlights in the kitchen that caused us to use mixing bowls to catch water in the kitchen. Now, we did have a maintenance guy to come out immediately( thank u) but, was supposed to come back to re-inspect and do a couple things but he never did. The next issue was we never understood how the heating in the house works??!!! We have used VRBO for many years and I have never had to call management to ask how does the air-conditioner or heat work....it's usually always self-explanatory and in rare cases it may be written in the check in information book at the unit. Now, there was a thermostat in each room but we never saw any vents in the ceiling or the floors. The fireplace did help the living room but the bedrooms esp upstairs were much cooler, As it was 4° outside... The baby nor the grandparents liked that too much....next the front door lock was sticking...It took myself a few minutes to figure out how to open/lock the door. Someone who didn't have a good bit of finger strength would not have been able to lock the door. Luckily I'm good with my hands and figuring things out. You had to pull it really hard because the lock apparently did not line up correctly. It may sound minor but it can be frustrating when it's snowing outside and you can't lock or open the door for a few seconds.. This is something that should have been tested when it was installed especially if different people are going to be coming in and out who may not be familiar with the lock... I follow military standards so this was also not acceptable .... In the master bedroom downstairs the frame at the end of the bed was not even attached and just leaning against the bed ...For me not being able to use the garage was disappointing even thou I was aware of that..This is a review!! I understand maybe tools and things for the rentals are kept there but usage really makes a big deal in the winter when you have to otherwise load your family up while it's snowing and snow is entering the vehicle at the same time. That's called convenience and people will pay extra for that... also it's no way to block out morning light.... there are shades in one of the bedrooms downstairs but they are literally white so it does no good at all. In the upstairs room, nothing...No sleeping late on vacation here .. So in closing, I originally said that I thought maybe the owners spent time here but obviously that's not the case. It is run by a company and I don't know if they just have too many units to pay attention to this one but whatever monetary amount it is people pay, you would think things would be up to par!!!! My parents operate multiple rentals in central fl and has for over 40 years. "THERE IS NO" way I would allow renters to stay at a unit and have the master bedroom TV not working when ppl are paying their money to coming to stay at my unit while on vacation!!!!! I would use my own money if there was an issue to make sure it was a tv working . Ridiculous....The only reason why am not giving this place one star is the point of contact followed up with me very fast and the maintenance man did initially come quickly. Otherwise, had I read all of the previous reviews on all the sites, I probably would not have rented here.. Don't get me wrong we were able to relax and have a good time despite the issues as that's how we role but, this unit needs a little bit off love and attention...out here!!! GO ARMY

The only suggestion I have is to leave more clear instructions for the thermostat. Our first night was a little cold because we couldn't get the heat to kick in at all. Luckily, the extra blankets and the fireplace helped keep us cozy that night. Lastly, if you're going to leave options for trash removal from the cabin that state you can use the garage, then the garage should be unlocked for that use.
