Since I was out of town, they agreed that they would warehouse the set until I was ready to receive it. Meanwhile.....my local contractor was a scam artist and never finished the job at the house. He was very difficult to get ahold of (read this as ignoring my calls). I am sure that delivery attempts from Windhorst also received the same. However, some Einstein at Windhorst came up with the idea to just drop off my set on my porch and leave it exposed to the elements and potential thieves. Their solution to working with this scam artist contractor who made delivery hard, was to...Pile on and take advantage of the out-of-towner and just do a dump and run. We're having some water leak from our washer, and I called to see what we should do. The technician…read more(who I think is probably the owner) talked with me for a good 20 minutes, asking questions, suggesting I look at this or that, and generally getting a sense--and giving me a sense--of what the issue might be. He was clearly focused on fixing the problem. He gave me a worst case scenario and how much he thought it would cost to fix it (in which case, he said, he didn't think it would be worth fixing), but he also gave me several other possibilities, some of which I could do myself. This was all the more helpful since they're pretty busy at the moment and wouldn't be able to come to the house until next week (unless it was an emergency). Really impressive service. We may still need to replace the appliance, in which case, I'll ask these folks to do the work.
