This is a family run business. You can expect to be greeted by friendly, helpful staff and occasionally one or more of their chill doggies. The auto work is good and the prices are fair. Maybe they aren't always the lowest price in a 30 mile radius, but they often run special discounts on tires and such so it pays to get on their mailing list. Recent interior design updates to the lobby have transformed it into a comfortable, cheery place to sit and wait. It's got a really cute old country store vibe but modern (does that make sense?) ... I especially enjoy the raised counter & barstools in the window corner (see photo) with plenty of space to park a laptop, and yes there's WiFi. The restrooms are outside of the shop which is less than ideal but whatever, it's an old school gas station setup after all. On a personal note: My father adored everyone he dealt with at Winding Brooke and was a loyal customer for years up until the day he died. It meant a lot to me to know "the kids at his mechanic's" as he called them, were so gracious in responding to his eccentricities and able to smile about some memories with me now that he's gone. read more

Good place. My mom wrote a 4 star review witch is no good so This is me Giving 5 stars! So 1st they Kept are car There for A Super Long time just Parked because it was totally BROKE. So that was nice of them! So I was in there new sweet Waiting room Drooling over The Treats cooler and Bought a Popsicle.. OH NO! It was super gross! It was melted and Weird! This was The last stroll! 1 Star it was!!! But then.... This Nice dude came over to Help! 1st he let me Get a another one for FREE! WHOH! It was also Gross and Melting all wack. So he says: "hmm... Just take anything you want." WHOH! To bad I'm Vegan or I would have Got a IceCream. Settled for a Bomb Pop. Still 1$ More then The Original. If I wasn't vegan I could have gotten a 5$ ice cream!!!!!!! I have really nothing to Say about there car service. They Are fast and Reliable from What I can tell but that's it. So sorry. Great service and good family owned business. My Cooper tires are excellent, and I'll go back for needed service or future tire purchases.

I went in to get a car alignment and an oil change they stated that I would need to get a tire rod replaced which I did. Also got some AC work done which included a dye test. They never put that ddye for the ac test but still charged me $150. After getting it serviced the car felt like it was driving a boat when I call back and I stated that they told me that their alignment machine needs to be recalibrated and that they would call the technician. I gave them some time when I took it back to get it re-alignment done they gave me a graph stating that my tires needed to be replaced if that was the case why would they charge me. I was unsatisfied because I feel like they charge me for something's that were unnecessary and continue to charge me when the work that was done, Did not show any improvement. I believe this to be very dishonest after paying close to $400. After taking it to another shop the shop stated that the alignment was not necessary and so was the tire rod because the first thing they should replace was the tires. At the shop also stated the suspension in the tire bushings need to be replaced so basically I paid for nothing. I ended up selling the Van as is. I believe this to be dishonest I do not recommend the shop. I also believe they had the knowledge of this but still charged me. D E P L O R A B L E read more

The owners of this car repair shop are kind and we are SO grateful. On our way home Thanksgiving weekend, we stopped here for gas and to use the bathroom. Since it was a Saturday, the shop was closed and so were the bathrooms. The owner happened to be inside while we were trying to decide what to do, overheard us talking, and came out to offer us the bathroom key. We were incredibly grateful since we had 1 small child who needed to go right then. We let our two kids run around their side lot a little bit before getting back in the car and going home. Once we got home we realized that our 15 month old's stuffed bear was missing. After scouring the internet and being unable to find a new one, we called the shop on Monday morning hoping beyond hope that they had found the bear and held on to it. They did! Despite our offer to send them a pre-paid envelope, they turned our offer down and mailed it to us Priority Mail at their expense. Our child was so excited to get her bear back and is sleeping so much better! While I cannot speak to their actual skill as mechanics, based on the kindness they showed to our family, I would bring my car here if I lived in the area, or needed help while travelling on 301. read more

I was on the road out of town when my ABS light came on and my tire was squealing. I stopped at two other shops off 301 and received no help. I called and spoke to Chris who said he would be more than happy to help. My wheel bearing was so bad he said the tire almost fell off but the light just came on. He got me out of there and back on the road same day! Highly recommend this shop with great people! Put a chick on the road and out of town with car trouble at ease. :-) read more
