We stayed 4 nights in Cottage Room and had a fabulous time! Rod gave us insights to Yellowstone Park what areas to see wildlife & geysers. Views were beautiful and our room was clean and comfortable! Suzie cooked the best breakfasts each morning and no wait time for coffee. We ate dinner at Cassie's 2 nights, short ride down the road from the Windmill Inn (Per Suzie's recommendation). I love this place. Wonderful people that run the B&B. The views are out of the world and the location is prime. You can sit on the front porch and enjoy a cup of coffee while watching wildlife. We saw elk, deer, moose, bear, and buffalo. read more

Seeing Yellowstone was on our bucket list. We stayed with Suzie and Rod for five days. The house is great. We stayed in the Wapiti room, which was very comfortable. We spent two days in Yellowstone and it was amazing. It is close enough to Yellowstone and Cody to be convenient and an easy drive. Rod and Suzie gave us great recommendations for places to see and eat. Rod's knowledge of the area was great and full of local history. Suzie's breakfasts were awesome. I have not actually stayed at the Windmill Inn but I met the owner, Rod, in a most unusual way and he was so kind, generous, and helpful that I wanted to let those considering staying at the Inn know that you will have an amazing and generous host, as well as one with a great sense of humor who tells good stories. I met Rod when I was preparing to take a solo kayak trip down the Shoshone River in a rubber ducky I rented while on vacation. Rod was taking a local friend and her visitors down in a raft. He offered for me to follow along. The river was much faster and rougher than I thought it would be when opting to go solo, and being able to follow Rod made the difference between having a very fun and safe time and being too scared to enjoy myself. Rod knew the river and was careful to give me a heads up about which side to take before each rapid that was a bit rough. He and his whole group were so kind and welcoming and fun. Rod made a day that might have turned out badly for me into a wonderful experience. I'm sure his hosting is every bit as good as his raft guiding! I met his wife when she came to pick him up after the trip, and she seems like a wonderful person, too. Thank you Rod and Suzie!!! read more

It felt like our family packed an entire week into 2 days. The Windmill Inn is perfectly located to Cody and Yellowstone. We stayed in The Cottage which was well appointed with special touches from our hosts, Rod and Suzie. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. The bed was especially comfy, which is key when traveling. Suzie's home-cooked breakfasts were outstanding. We're not talking bagels and muffins, we're talking eggs benedict! Mmmm.
