Another place that has genuinely made me mad while eating. The drinks were the Okinawa milk tea and the mango jasmine tea. Both of them were ordered with 50% sugar but they tasted so sugary. I can't imagine how much sugar is used for a 100% sugar drink. Also, the okinawa milk tea tastes just like a normal black milk tea, there was nothing different about it. Besides the sugar levels, the boba was overcooked too. The "croffles" were fine, but they weren't even croffles. They were mini waffles. They were also a bit hard to cut into. Either they were overcooked or they were the mini waffle snacks you can find and they decided to bake them to heat them up.
Great little shop, works well for meeting friends. I'm not sure if they have WiFi. The front door was tricky! So if it takes you a few times to get it open, you aren't alone. Plenty of parking available
I like Windmill Tea House! It took me such a long time to visit this place..but I was glad I found myself in the area and decided to check it out! I ended up having the Windmill Milk Tea (basically the black milk tea with most of the topping goodies in it!). I especially like that one can customize the sweetness of the tea to their liking. So, for this particular iced milk tea that I got, for example, I actually got it with 0% sugar (because all the toppings it included would have added some sweetness to the tea anyways!-- per their recommendations when I told them I don't really like very sweet flavors). They do have a different variety of teas there, so you are bound to find something you like. The only thing was that I wished they had some real food there, too, so it's not just limited to drinks. Also, I didn't realize that if I didn't want any ice, there was going to be a minor charge of $0.50 (that's ok..it wasn't outrageous..just wasn't what I was expecting). But..overall, the tea tasted good and the service was very pleasant. I wouldn't mind stopping by Windmill Tea to have the same thing or even try some other tea they have again!
Picked this place because it has cute decor and isn't a chain tea spot. Ordered the mango green tea with 30% sweet. Drink wasn't cheap, close to $7. At 30% sweet the drink was WAY sweet. It was syrup sweet with a bitter aftertaste from the tea. I don't mind the bitter aftertaste as I love strong tea but I do think the syrup was way overpowering. I had to wait until the ice melted and it tasted better.
Great variety of teas! You can pick the level of sweetness and choose "your bottoms" or go "bottomless." They have a wide variety of bottoms bursting boba, jelly, cheese foam, or milk foam. Service is fast and friendly and the ambiance is fun! They have games and a lot of tables to enjoy your drinks or croffle.
Yum! Came here with my husband on a Friday afternoon and there was no line. The shop is clean with plenty of seating. I got the peach citrine tea with mango bursting boba and regular boba. It was super refreshing after an afternoon playing Pickleball. I wish I had gotten the larger size! My husband got the Oreo ice blended with brown sugar boba which he enjoyed. I thought his drink was a little too icy (as opposed to creamy) but still good overall. The boba was perfectly cooked. Would come again when we are in this part of town.
I'm in love! Windmill Tea House is the definition of a hot & new business here in ABQ. Arguably one of the best boba spots in town, I'm so impressed. The space is super cute, light and fun. It's the perfect location for a drink photo op. Also have to note for a new shop, the branding is fantastic. Check out the cute logo and that awesome neon sign. I ordered the brown sugar milk tea because when it comes to boba, I love a good classic. Milk tea is my jam! The boba was the perfect consistency and I initially ordered 30% sugar and they recommended I up to 50% which was perfect. I went light ice and honestly, perfection. Pricing was moderate, but for the quality I'd definitely recommend trying them out. I might just be on the path to regular consumer of boba here.

I've heard about this place through a friend and have been wanting to try it. My friend and I stopped by and the place is so cute and modern. We both got the holiday specials - the windmilk Christmas and tiramisu milk tea. We both LOVED our drinks and would definitely get it again if they have it. One of the staff members asked us for our feedback on the drinks and we each gave them a 10/10! My drink was a perfect combination of a Starbucks Peppermint Mocha drink with boba, so if you like both, this is perfect for you. The tiramisu was super good - not sweet but very refreshing. Highly recommend this place and I'll definitely be going back to try other drinks.
This is my first time visiting the Windmill Tea House. It is quite a drive for me since I live all the way in Rio Rancho. But it was definitely worth it. I must say that I am so glad this place exists because of their Purple Ube Latte. Yummy! I will definitely be back and visit here again soon. They offer a wide variety on their menu. And I like how you can customize your drinks; from ice level, sweetener and toppings. Most boba shops in town do not have those types of options, which is a total bummer. Sometimes competitors' drinks are too sweet or not sweet enough. We were able to try their Iced Purple Ube Latte and Thai Green Milk Tea. Both were delicious and creamy. But my favorite is the Purple Ube Latte. We loved it! They had great customer service and it wasn't too busy when we were there! Thank you!!

I lived in Seattle for 3 years and the Asian cuisine there set my standards for every other place I've ever been to after. This spot nailed it. First, THEY HAVE UBE!!! Which is very rare to find. And good quality ube, I even had a whole photoshoot at my hotel with the drink lmfao We ordered through door dash so I cannot speak for the ambience of the spot itself or the service. But I can tell you the quality of the tea's were exceptional and authentic. Prices are average for how much you would pay for milk tea. They have small and large sizes. I got the Ube Latte without pearls and my boyfriend got it with pearls. It was his first time trying it and he was very satisfied. We also tried the Hokkaido milk tea and it was very yummy! Something I rarely see at typical boba places are the flavors Hokkaido and Okinawa, and this place has both! They have a large selection for milk teas, general teas, and toppings. They even had salted crema (i think it's called cheese crema in this spot), which was delicious- and also sometimes rare in typical boba spots. 10/10 recommend stopping by. You will not be disappointed!
I've been wanting to try this place ever since I saw they had pumpkin milk tea (I didn't get a chance to try it last year). I met with a friend for the first time here (though with the blender running it was a little hard to hear at times). The decor was cute and it was nice and bright inside. Most picked up orders to go and the hustle and bustle then died down. They were a little backed up at the time, so it took some time to get the order. They had cute plushies scattered around. I got the 16 oz size of the brown sugar milk tea (this was one of the few drinks that included the brown sugar boba with it). I adjusted the sweetness level to 80%. There was a note on the glass when ordering that credit cards had to be used for a minimum purchase of $5. The drink was good itself and probably could've used even the 100% sweetener (and I'm not quite sure what the caffeine content on it is). I will be back this year for sure to get the pumpkin spice milk tea 2023 #2
Delicious! I finally stopped in to continue my quest to find the best Vietnamese coffees in town. Their coffee was strong, and had a great flavor. I also ordered an avocado smoothie with boba, the boba had a great flavor and the smoothie had a strong avocado essence to it which I love. I had to stand awkwardly at the register while they ignored me for about a minute but were nice when they did acknowledge me. I liked that they had a plethora of games and lots of seating. read more

Do not purchase the gift cards! Took my kids to use some birthday gifts. They refused to honor them in account of "changing to a new system 2 years ago." Staff claimed they could not check them, honor them, refund their value, or reload a new gift card, which struck me as strange. Cards have no language about an expiration. They needed an original receipt, which odd in that it wouldn't validate current value, and seems like an easy excuse. One would assume a better customer policy would be considered, versus it feeling like a cash scam. They have a lot of signs up about buying their new gift cards too. Generally not one to review a bad experience but the sunk $50 and interest they have in gift cards felt worth reporting....Otherwise, the boba is fine. Clean and bright place with cute stuffed animal decors and games available to entice customers and young children especially. Friendly cashier and helpful when asked about their menu if an alteration in an order can be made. I ended up getting their Vietnamese latte with Ube topping with regular boba. Only complaint is that it came in a small size only. My little one orderered the blended Oreo with strawberry burstng boba. The drink itself was good, but not with that type of boba. Decent price for the size, but ultimately not finished by the little one because of the mix of flavors didn't mesh well according to him. He also got the banana Nutella and he enjoyed it. I think we found our new favorite boba place!! We always stuck to Kung Fu Tea House but decided one day to go out our comfort zone and try other boba places, and I'm so glad we did! Although this is a bit of a drive for us, off Juan Tabo and Montgomery, it's DEFINITELY WORTH THE DRIVE! When we first went, we got the taro ice slush and the mango ice slush. Today, we got the mango again cuz it was just that good and tried something new and OMG it was delicious and so glad we did. We're already planning our next trip there and plan to try something else on the menu and we already can tell it won't disappoint! The ladies working there are so sweet and nice also! The environment is large but not taking away from comfort and the feeling of being invited in. If you haven't been you are missing out! read more

I had a friend that's been telling me about this place for a while. Decided to give it a try yesterday and it won't be my last time. I got the brown sugar tea with 50% sweetener and the brown sugar boba. It was the perfect sweetness, great flavor, and the boba's were so good. I'm so glad that they are close to home! read more
My new favorite boba in Albuquerque! This new boba shop brings the trendy LA vibes to NM! They have a pretty decent sized space, nicely decorated, perfect for chilling with friends! Although the location is a bit of drive for me, I will definitely make an effort to take the trip if I'm craving quality boba. I had the Windmill milk tea and it was AMAZING. It is one of their signature drinks and comes with THREE toppings: custard, coffee jelly, and boba. Seems like a lot, but it perfectly complements their fresh milk tea. I recommend getting 50% sweetness, and probably even less to counteract the sweet toppings. Their menu features a good blend of classics like milk teas and fun IG worthy drinks! Today I dropped by again with the family and I just want to say, this place has my heart right now. It totally changes my whole mood. I love walking into their space, and I love the variety of drink choices. I hope one day they can offer food too, because for some reason drinking boba makes me hungry. Today we opted for a strawberry soda w yogurt boba for my child, green tea w peach boba for Grandpa, and a Thai green milk tea for me. Mine was incredible, and Henry the mixologist behind the counter remembered my name. read more

This is the second time I've been here. And it hasn't disappointed me at all! This is the only place I know that asks for sugar level and milk options and STILL tastes like a bubble tea. Also right when you walk in it smells like SWEET yummiest! If that makes sense lol read more

Drove about 20 mins from home to try this place after a long work day, and I'm so happy. The employees were so friendly and attentive, and they gave me good recommendations. Tina helped me, and was very nice. I got the popular blended taro with boba, and it's perfect! Got it 80% sweet and it's the perfect amount for me. Also got the croffle, wish it had a lil syrup but it's still good! I highly recommend this place to be with friends and to enjoy a great drink! read more

This is the best place I've gotten Boba here in town! Their drinks are so cute, and the environment is really fun. I got their valentines seasonal drink with heart boba and it was absolutely delicious!!!! I loved that they had the option to get it with Oat Milk as well. My boyfriend got the regular strawberry with mango jellies and it was super tasty also! I can't wait to come back and try more. read more

This gem was a little out of my way, but after reading a 5 star review from a fellow yelper, I decided to give it a try. So glad I did because I'm a fan of boba tea. First time I tried it was 15 years ago when I lived in China and I've been hooked ever since. Windmill is authentic and the flavors are abundant! The sweet girl at the counter took her time to explain the different flavors and combinations to us. I chose the taro and my kids had the Oreo, chocolate boba and coffee boba. I liked mine the best! I took my kids after school around 3:30 and it was pretty busy at that time. I guess everyone has the same after school idea. So worth it!! read more

Came back to Windmill again this week! I couldn't stop thinking about the brown sugar boba. It's seriously so good! This time I ordered an iced ube latte, but sadly by the time I got home and was able to take pictures, the beautiful ube swirls in the cup disappeared. Despite that, I loved this drink. read more
