My hubby and I wanted tea but it was 8pm. There are not many tea places open. He got the pineapple shake and a Thai tea. I got the black tea with milk iced. The pineapple shake was good. Not too sweet. The Thai tea didn't look like it had any milk in it. It was very strong. The black milk tea was ok but nothing to write home about. Very thankful for the shop being open Christmas Eve! We last visited a few years ago and were excited to return. We tried the house milk tea and house black tea with milk, both at 75% sweet and enjoyed both. Milk tea has a good prominent tea flavor and not too sweet. The house black tea with milk could have gone 100 percent sweet. They were very kind and explaining which drinks had nondairy and dairy. The milk tea is a combination of nondairy and condensed milk. SO thankful I found this little spot near my new apartment in Albuquerque. It's a cute little spot with lots of cute decor inside, and plenty of seating. Prices are..fair, I think in this economy? Mildly cheaper than California, but still more expensive than I am comfortable with paying. Doesn't mean I'll stop though... Strawberry matcha latte was a decent version compared to most. Boba is also decent texture! A bit on the firmer side, but good overall. Roasted oolong was great as well. Uji matcha latte plain was a little watered down. I'll give it another try though because a) this spot is close and convenient and b) I've had good results with their other drinks. They also have a cotton candy machine, which looks fun. Visited here over the weekend, this is my second time. My family and I like coming here because they're just friendlier than other boba shops. Lots of variety and the drinks come in these tall cups, which is just right for me. The first time we visited, we were greeted by friendly staff. They explained all the drink choices to us. There were chibi stuffed animals, a giant Totoro painted on the wall and the most adorable little chairs and couches to hang out on. The best part though? The drink. The other teas I've tried are the Dirty tea which is a black tea with burnt sugar on the sides. Not as sweet as I thought it would be so that was a plus. It's a more mellow tea, that comes with boba. More of a delicate light flavor. The other tea I had was the Rose Oolong cheese tea. Went a little off my normal course to try something different and was not disappointed. It has a unique flavor, like a creamy rose drink. Some what dreamy. If you don't like anything floral-y I would not recommend! But if you're into rose flavor, would definitely recommend. Used to be called Moon Tea, but they changed their name because of another place that had the same name. I understand ABQ isn't known for their boba, much less any other Asian cuisine or specialty. But, I dared to dream. Unfortunately, I'm better off waiting until I go home to LA for my boba fix. I tried the Dirty Tea (their specialty - milk tea with black sugar along the cup), red bean milk tea, and house milk tea. We added pudding to 2 of the drinks. The milk tea tasted watered down, and the boba was on the hard side - as if it'd been left too long. The pudding was whatever - not bad, not good. There was a steady flow of customers, many of which were Chinese, so I'm really curious if this is the best option in town. If so, that makes me very sad :( read more
