She originally offered me an appointment that same week, but I wasn't available, so we scheduled it for the following Friday at 3:00 PM. During the week leading up to my appointment, I received multiple text and email reminders confirming my 3:00 PM Friday appointment. My wife and I drove 1.5 hours to Springfield for the appointment and arrived at approximately 2:20 PM. When we checked in, we were told they would not be replacing my windshield because they only work on a first-come, first-served basis for customers who drop their vehicles off before 2:00 PM. I was told I would have to reschedule for another day, drop the vehicle off, and wait in line. I explained that I had a confirmed 3:00 PM appointment and had received multiple reminders. The employee told me that the booking agent sometimes gets confused and schedules appointments incorrectly. Unfortunately, this meant taking time off work and making a 3-hour round trip for nothing. Because of the inconvenience, I chose to schedule the replacement with Safelite instead, even though it cost more. I understand that mistakes can happen, but if your company does not accept afternoon appointments for windshield replacements, your scheduling system should not allow them to be booked. This experience cost me time, fuel, and lost work, and it was very disappointing.

Giving contractors access to a house unsupervised can make the most trustworthy person think twice. I have cameras set up throughout my house though, and every day they were there early in the morning, doing the work without needing to be supervised. Every night they cleaned up after themselves and locked up and not once did I catch any of their guys in the master bedroom trying on the wife's lingerie when nobody was looking. Called a second time requesting he add more window blinds that I had purchased, to install deadbolts on three exterior doors and replace all the interior door knobs I purchased. We negotiated a price, which he increased due to the work involved and I agreed to the new price. I paid in cash, but he didn't finish the work. He returned to complete the project, but left after an hour, as he didn't finish a deadbolt installation and installed the second dead bolt and door handles, then left early because a tornado warning was issued that afternoon and evening. Kris said he'd return to finish the job Saturday or Sunday, but didn't. So, Kris walked off with my money and left without finishing the work he was paid to do. He offered to return the following weekend. I text: Will you be able to finish the work? No reply ... and the blinds, the deadbolt nor the door knobs are still sitting on my table. He took my cash, said he'd be back - and didn't. A hard lesson. Do not to trust this guy! He'll take your money and leave his work unfinished.
