"What does that mean?" She reads from her screen, "It says your voice faded and call ended." "Yeah, I was cut off, but I called right back." "Then," she asked, "who did you talk to?" As if that matters? As if that's some gotcha! She tells me that we'll have to make another appointment. No thanks, I tell her. I don't blame the desk lady; she's part of a broken system. During the week leading up to my appointment, I received multiple text and email reminders confirming my 3:00 PM Friday appointment. My wife and I drove 1.5 hours to Springfield for the appointment and arrived at approximately 2:20 PM. When we checked in, we were told they would not be replacing my windshield because they only work on a first-come, first-served basis for customers who drop their vehicles off before 2:00 PM. I was told I would have to reschedule for another day, drop the vehicle off, and wait in line. I explained that I had a confirmed 3:00 PM appointment and had received multiple reminders. The employee told me that the booking agent sometimes gets confused and schedules appointments incorrectly. Unfortunately, this meant taking time off work and making a 3-hour round trip for nothing. Because of the inconvenience, I chose to schedule the replacement with Safelite instead, even though it cost more. I understand that mistakes can happen, but if your company does not accept afternoon appointments for windshield replacements, your scheduling system should not allow them to be booked. This experience cost me time, fuel, and lost work, and it was very disappointing.

ANY CAR AUTO GLASS quoted the windshield and informed me they had one in stock and if I arrived at 830am they would get me taken care of. I priced them with another glass company, and they were within $5 of each other so I figured let's give the business to ANY CAR AUTO GLASS. I arrived at 8:45am, gave my keys to the tech and informed him I would return in 1 hour, during this time I walked 3 miles round trip to my veterinarian to pick up my dogs meds. Upon return I went into the lobby and noticed a lady in the corner on her computer (I saw her earlier when I dropped my car off and didn't think anything of it). About 2 minutes of me in the lobby trying to cool off from my 3 mile walk the owner came in and says to me over and over again "I don't want any trouble" I had no clue what he was talking about so I went and stood outside. A man that was not happy with his service there at ANY CAR AUTO GLASS said as he stormed off and got in his vehicle "This place is the f*cking worst." About 5 minutes pass and the same guy (owner I would assume) come up to me and accuses me of saying that about his business (I haven't done anything but wait on my vehicle to be finished), after I explained to him it was the other guy that said that about his business, he then informed me that the women in the lobby texted him that I was making her uncomfortable. I was invited to do business with company and when I showed I was treated like a criminal... first time in 44 years I felt this uncomfortable and this is the only post I've ever made online about a person or business.
