I purchased new windows and referral to a neighbor that also got all new windows. We both have the same complaint. Charles Yatsko salesman purchased the windows we were told the following. Your windows are guaranteed for life all materials needed are covered. If there is any wood rot that needs replacement its covered in the price. Also Charles said he would be at my house on the day of installation. After the install I received an email from the company which had an attachment that gave me a 5 year warranty. We both have the same issue. I called the company and was told its a 5 year warranty. I explained I was given a lifetime warranty. I was told someone would contact me. I texted Charles twice and phoned twice and left messages. He has not responded. I did send emails to the company no response yet. On the day of installation one window frame was pulled away from the bricks. It needed replaced per installer. He said the box should be replaced. I said its covered per Charles. Installer said its not in the work order so he screwed wood back together to install the window to fit the new window. They did a wonderful job - and even repaired some wood damage as well as the sill where 2 windows were replaced by one larger window. I cannot say the same for that "other" company. I just got my windows from window nation they have an inflated sales pitch that offers you the world and then you find out that is all a lie abouts all the extra treatment to the framing and the materials to prevent the wood to rot in the future also the special insulation foam is just standard foam that you can get from home depot. I am likely going with a company that provided a quote below what Window Nation offered and who have all 5 star ratings on Yelp. I could not even get past the initial phone screening with these people. They insisted that I have my spouse there. I get it, but they went on and said that they don't want to waste their time unless she is there. I explained that she and I agreed that I was taking point on that and they responded that their policy is that both decision makers have to be present because no married couple should make decisions with only one person. I am extremely disappointed in both our window installation and the so-called customer service at window nation. Many of our window's vinyl came damaged with fairly large gauges and scratches. For the exceptionally high cost of windows, I was under the impression that we would receive an undamaged product. In addition to the terrible product presentation, I was also disappointed to see that the caulk appears to have been applied very hastily as it is uneven and unsightly. They somehow smeared caulk everywhere to include the screens, the window frames and drywall, and even on our exterior siding... yet they somehow missed several screws and it is only a matter of time until water accumulates beneath our window frame and rots it out. I contacted their customer service team several times but have yet to hear back from them (it has been well over a month now). Last March I saw an ad in the Marlton Sun from WINDOW NATION, advertising ZERO down, ZERO payments, and ZERO interest for 2 Years !! We decided to call and get an estimate for 4 windows. We were so overwhelmed by the non-stop talking slick salesman, Jonathan Stupar, that we bought 4 windows and assumed (big mistake) that we were getting the same deal that he promised us AND that was plainly in their ad. Reality is that the bill says, principal payment is $44.45 and the INTEREST is $55.55 !!!!! I started getting bills every month immediately with charges of 9.9% interest compounded. I spoke with their customer service representative who agreed that I was being charged 9.9% interest, which equates to an extra $383.25 interest for a year. Their ads are a scam. Window Nation installed 19 windows in my house in January. Since the install I have noticed a decrease in noise (cars and wind) and a huge decrease in how cold my house stayed. I purchased the "good" quality windows to stay within my budget and feel they are an excellent quality. Although I experienced a minor issue with the caulking, dealing with the service and warranty department was a breath of fresh air. Cindy (service and warranty) went above and beyond to ensure all of my issues and concerns were resolved expeditiously. I give Window Nation 5 stars for the window quality and 5 stars for my experience with Cindy. Reason for low rating is their non-responsiveness after install regarding issues. I don't know how I missed the Yelp reviews when checking out this company before I went with them. Unfortunately it seems that there is a common theme here reading through other reviews. I had windows installed, they look great. We took advantage of the "sale" as our home really needed new windows and the "no-payment financing until 2024" was attractive. My issues: measurements on 8 of my windows were off. Those windows were still able to be installed (they pretty much had to make those windows work because the old windows were off and it is December in NJ). Due to the mistake with measuring, we can not reuse our blinds. Do the math.....8 windows x $$$$ for new blinds/window treatments. The second issue is that there is damage to on of our interior window frames. I have tried contacting them several times and have received no response. I would NOT recommend this company. read more

We have had 7 windows installed little over 1 year ago and we just noticed a stain on our ceiling and tracing things oneof the master bedroom windows seems to be leaking. The rug under the window was soak and the corner of the dresser was water damaged. I called to see if there was anything we could do to get this checked and they want us to pay 150.00 before we can even schedule a guy to come out. Mind you during the installation they sent only one guy the other called out that day, the window in question is the very last window installed at the end day at dusk. *updated to respond to owners reply* Yes, an offer to clean the area was made, over a week after my install, in the height COVID-19, so having additional people in my home isn't much of an option for me. My review stands accurate in warning those who may put their faith in your company to protect them from additional lead exposure. LEAD EXPOSURE. DO NOT FOLLOW SAFETY PRECAUTIONS. If you have an older home DO NOT hire window nation. They do not abide by HEPA lead containment, even though they state they're qualified. This was the selling point for our business, boy were we fooled. I have a one year old and expressed my concern for lead exposure several times throughout our process. The representative wound up telling me to not "harp on it" any further. When the time came for install, we were upstairs preparing to leave for the day so my daughter wasn't around the construction. We came down stairs and two windows were already knocked out, with literally a torn piece of maybe 2x2 plastic under the window, with paint chips all around the surrounding floor. No other precautions were taken. I was told the windows would be wrapped in plastic from the inside or plastic would cover the window construction area from wall to ceiling. None of this was done. I couldn't halt production because I already had two holes for windows. We left and when we returned there were paint chips all over our house. The guys tried to clean to the best of their ability I truly believe, but they weren't trained properly. They only vacuumed. When dealing with lead based paint you use a wet product to clean to eliminate lead dust from being exposed. I called the company and was told I'd be called back. Three days later someone reached out for payment but nothing regarding my concerns. The following day we happened to be outside while a quality control employee came by to do a visual inspection and we told him everything. He also said the windows should've been taped off.. but they were not. We eventually were in contact with the VP of the company I believe, and she agreed things were not done correctly and stated their guys would be retrained. But who knows... how long have they been exposing families to lead contaminants. If you don't know this, lead paint again lets off a dust when disturbed that you cannot see or clean on your own. Their solution, three weeks after install, was to pay for our floors to be professionally cleaned. That's great, but too little too late. Please protect your family and go elsewhere. My first appointment was canceled 20 minutes before it was scheduled to begin. They further advised that they knew that they did not have anyone available to install the window about 2 hours before they called to cancel the appointment, yet they still waited until the last minute to cancel. After they canceled that appointment, I was told someone would be calling me in about 15 minutes to reschedule. After almost 3 hours, I contacted them to see if and when they were going to reschedule me. I was told they would call me back. I received a call back approximately 10 minutes later to reschedule my appointment. I requested the first appointment of the day at 0800 hours. We had them replace all our windows and back sliding door. Immediately i noticed the sliding door doesn't lock. And one of the screens has slits in it. They also made a nasty mess with caulk. And I mean really nasty. The window guy made a mistake and just stuffed gobs of caulk in the hole. It all looks shoddily brine. I called them a few times and was told someone would come. It's a year later and nobody came. They apparently don't care about their customers after they make the sale. Either they come back or we are not paying the last $5000. This is your classic scam. Somehow replacing my sliding glass door to my back deck with a vinyl, not high end at all slider was quoted at over $9500. I was blown away. Then all of a sudden the price would go down to $6500 if I would agree to target marketing. Huh. What is target marketing? The salesman explained it was agreeing to put their sign in my front yard and I think have my job pictured posted online. Then came financing options. This had all the warning signs. Manipulative sales techniques, questioning me when I indicated the price was insane. What a waste of over an hour of out time plus aggravation. The best was the salesman challenging me like I did not know what I was talking about when I told him the pricing was crazy and out of touch with reality. My wife was putting her house on the market this winter. So I ordered 13 windows to be replaced for better home appeal and value. The windows were installed on 12/7/21. 2 of the windows have cracks in the frames and another had a rip through the screen! The installation has been going on for 10 months now and it's still not complete. Their service department is terrible with communicating delays and product shortages. When you call for a follow up, no one calls you back. And now, some clowns from Vytek Windows (whoever they are) called me yesterday and said they would be out a month from now to install the last screen that has been missing for months. I guess that's window nation's idea of a "rush" completion. So, the entire ordeal will be complete after 11 months, 4 separate install dates, stickers left on the windows after install, and I'm still finding trash (plastic and little pieces of jagged aluminum) kicked under furniture. If you are searching for windows, be wary of this company and do NOT accept their "same day commitment pricing". I'm not going to lie, I was impressed by the product and the consultant's presentation. My issue is with their marketing strategies. Had they been different, I probably would have purchased windows from them. First you are told there will be a 1 hour presentation, which in actuality is 2 hours. The presentation was very informative, just be aware of it so you can plan your day accordingly. There were some questions that were never answered, most importantly "how much are the windows". During the presentation the consultant used terms like "tightest industry standard" and when I asked what that was, I was told "it varies so I can't give you an exact number". I wasn't even given a range. While this was frustrating, it wasn't a deal breaker. The real issue here is with the pricing and marketing strategy. At the end of the presentation I was given a quote for $30,000 for 15 windows, which was good for 1 year, however if I signed within 30 days, they would drop the price to $22,000. I was then told if I signed that day, the pricing would be $20,000. *Please note these are approximate values since the consultant refused to give me the written estimate he prepared in my home "because it has his name on it" (No, I am not kidding). When I said I wanted to compare quotes and think about it because it was higher than I anticipated, I was told, "We have a big commercial job coming up in Providence, RI for 1,500 windows. Let me call my boss and see if we get your order in with them we can probably get it down to $15,000-$16,000 because of the commercial pricing. Would that work for you?" I again declined and said I wanted to get some more quotes. At that point the consultant gave me a long story about price gouging after WWII and that it wasn't necessary because of the internet. As he was packing up, he packed the written estimate. It was at this point that I asked him for it so I could compare, he refused and told me "I can't give you this, it has my name on it". Yes, that was exactly why I wanted it, so if I decide to go with your company I can. He still refused. The next morning I received an email from another consultant offering "additional discounts". This email had the original job price of $32,382 less "current incentives" of $16,941, so a total price of $15,441 which was valid for 30 days. However, if I committed within the next 4 days, they would take off an additional $1,441 for a total price of $14,000! Look, I get there is mark up. I know there can be some room for discounts and promotions, but at the end of the day when your quote is more than double what you are willing to do the job for, it breaks consumer trust. If they had given me the $14,000 estimate first I may have went with their company. At this point I am left wondering how much further the price will decrease if I wait to commit? I guess I will wait and see, after all, I am still waiting for an answer as to how much the window itself actually costs. read more
