I had a window issue in my new home that I couldn't find anyone to help with. I contacted multiple contractors and different companies and it was clear my business was never important - I'd get ghosted for appointments, took months to get quotes, and more. I finally found Smart Shield and was contacted almost immediately after requesting a callback. The owner, Bryan, was so incredibly kind, thorough, and knowledgeable. He helped customize a plan for our home based on what would remedy our current situation and prevent future issues. The process to get started was easy (and very digital which earns extra bonus points in my book) and it was a few weeks until installation. The installation went great and I've never had an issue with the windows. It went so well, that we had Smart Shield come back and put in new doors for us, more window replacements, and replace our siding. While that was a bigger job, the process was just as wonderful. The team at Smart Shield is HIGHLY communicative. The installation crew are all lovely, respectful, and masters of their craft. They have impeccable clean up after as well! They are my first call whenever we need something done and will continue to be the only company I recommend. About 4-6 weeks later, Blake contacted me and scheduled for installation. Robert and his team did an excellent job installing the windows. I had a total of 11 windows installed on the first floor of my property in Nov 2023. They completed the job in 1 and half days. It could have been done in one day but the sunset in November didn't allow. Some of the pictures of the completed job are shown below. I don't have the before pictures but trust me, there's a huge difference. I will have them come back to complete the second floor in the first quarter of 2024. Thank you!!

I saw the bad reviews and thought how bad can it be to have an established window company repair a…read moredamaged window screen? It's only $30. First they wanted cash upfront then said the repair wouldn't be completed for a few days. Fine. When my husband got a call saying the screen was repaired he was working late so I called to ask if I could pick it up instead and was told they would only release the screen if I had the receipt number. I said I'd go home and get the receipt. Then i was told "We close in 30 minutes. Our hours are Monday through Friday, 8am to 3pm" ... so basically business hours only for people who don't work traditional work hours. How they manage to stay in business is beyond me.

(if you'd like the full story, read on:)  I hired Oregon windows last fall to replace a cracked window and to replace a broken window handle. Oregon then installed a darker tinted window. I called and "Albert" told me I'd have to pay more to get matching glass. Albert said he'd call their suppliers, but after a few weeks of not hearing anything, I did a charge-back on the credit card.  I then got voice message from "Karen." I spoke with Karen who communicated Albert didn't know what he was talking about, that I should speak directly with her, and that she was able to order matching glass. I was told the glass was ready to be installed, so scheduled an appointment, took off work, then they didn't show up...  When I called, Albert said Karen was out and had instructed his guys not to come because they were unable to order the correct glass thickness for these types of windows. I tried calling Karen over the following week, but Albert would tell me she wasn't in and to try the following day. My messages have gone unanswered to date.  So... one of two things is happening here: 1) Oregon Windows is truly unable to order the correct glass for the building they claim to be in all the time; or, 2) They don't feel like fixing the mistake.  PS: Still holding my breath for the window handle replacement...

I also followed up with an email. it's now 6/6 and nothing. Seems the agent was only interested in repair quote even though the project is 15 units of high end windows. I mentioned the advertised 25% Memorial Day discount was generous, and I would like to take advantage of the offer. Other companies were more responsive so I'm moving on. Update still no response as of 6/11 to this review or many other attempts to receive the promised quote.
