I reached out months ago on the recommendation of a co-worker. I asked about solar cleaning and gutters. Their quote was very reasonable, especially given that it is a second story home with gutters that had NEVER been cleaned in the last decade at least. And same for the solar. A family emergency came up and I didn't move forward at that time. Fast forward 4 or 5 months and I reached out again. He responded right away and confirmed the details, honored the original quote (which impressed me as costs EVERYWHERE have gone up), and was able to schedule for a very convenient time without any difficulty. He also asked if there were any other services I was needing, which is when I discovered they do window cleaning, window and door screens and dryer vent cleaning as well! I did ask for them to quote me for a sliding screen door replacement, which was another great value, given the upgrades for the heavy duty screening and preferred color. And then the crew showed up...right on time, ready to go, and absolutely delightful people, every single one! It was a crew of 4. They got to work immediately and were thorough, cautious and hard-working. While they were working, I asked the crew leader about a quote for two window screens. Such a good deal that I said yes and they cleaned and rescreened as well as installed them on site as the other work was being done! And they did the final measurements for the sliding door to be made. They also asked if I wanted them to check the dryer vent and did so with no obligation for cleaning. I am sure I have literally never had the dryer vent cleaned in the almost 20 years I have lived here. So it was SOOOOOOOO full and needing to be cleaned badly. With another very reasonable price, I had them go for it! And it was done in no time at all. They did ALL this work (20 solar panels cleaned, gutters that literally had whole plants growing out of them completely cleaned and flushed, 2 windows re-screened, new door measurements taken and dryer vent cleaned), with the kindest, most non-judgemental, professional attitude. And they did it in UNDER 2 HOURS as a team! If you have a chance to use them, I would highly encourage you to. They truly care about their customers and about doing the absolute best job they can, and they make it affordable, too!

No, he's not the cheapest, but 1) you get what you pay for, and 2) he gets it done ASAP--I called another company before just for a comparison quote, and they said it would be two weeks before they could do it--Five Star came in under two days! I would deduct a quarter star only because they forgot to mention they accidentally broke one of the outer window trims on a garage window --it was very brittle from facing the dry afternoon sun for 20 years, so I completely understand; just wish they had mentioned it. I added that quarter star back because upon arrival, Jerry the foreman pointed out that one of the front screens was busted from age/sun and offered to replace it for a great price--important when selling a house! For many years, I have used Five Star for gutter cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, screen replacement, outdoor window cleaning and power washing--and they're just as good as ever. Thanks!

I was very happy that he would do that for me and was planning to give him the job in the $600 range. In the morning, I called again, and looks to me he blocked my phone and without even telling me if he is gonna skip me or what. So he basically disappeared on day of appt and made me stranded without a single headsup. My home depot was already shipped and waited him to pick up. After email, txt and even facebook message, he finally said he would need to cancel, 1 hour before original appointment time. If you like to get cancelled last minute, go ahead and hire him.

Upon completion, there was quite a few areas that still had a fair amount of moss on the roof line so they certainly did not accomplish what I initially wanted. They explained that they treated the moss and then it would eventually dissipate overtime during additional rain storms. Overall I think they did a good job with power washing the house cleaning the windows and power washing the driveway, but the moss remains on the roof and still looks undesirable. We called them back indicated that it would be an additional $1400 to power wash the moss off and rinse the house down again. I should've simply allowed my own employees to do the whole thing and do it thoroughly. Now I have to go back and power wash specific areas of the roof line in order to get the desired results. being a service industry, you really want the people you work with willing to go the extra mile to create a level of customer satisfaction. My only disappointment was that I wasn't notified of tears in a number of my widow screens. An online patch system I found will take care of that. I'm definitely passing on this referral of Shamblin Softwash as the business you need to contact. Shamblin Softwash's services are great and reasonably priced.

Since we're selling our house, I didn't want not want any issues with the inspection (nor endanger the inspector).
