Adam called me within 20 minutes of me filling out a form on the Window Wears website, I kid you not. Punctual, friendly, professional. I loved having him in my house for the consultation, such a friendly vibe. He really listened to me too, and didn't seem put off by the fact that I had never ordered blinds before and was going into this completely blind (no pun intended). Didn't push any one product, but waited to see my reaction and the comments about what I wanted, as wild and bizarre as they were (i.e. "I don't want them to stick out over the sill thingy, you know? I don't really want to notice them") and then he made recommendations based on what I said, while listing the pros and cons of each product. It was a truly customized and informative experience! He had a quote to me within 24 hours, as promised (actually, it was probably within 12 hours), and then when I freaked out because the price was way over what I had budgeted (first-timer, remember, and getting ALL the windows done), he didn't even blink and worked with me to get it down to something more reasonable. It turned out to be as simple as a materials switch, going for faux, but still looking great. At this point I was in love with Adam's expertise and would have trusted him sight unseen. The blinds were a bit late getting to me (a week), which was irritating because I was waiting to move in until they were installed. Adam emailed me ahead of time to tell me (a shortage at the manufacturers), and just the fact that he communicated way ahead of time made me much less irritated. During this experience, I spoke to two other people at the Window Wears office, Mike and one other person, for payment and scheduling the install. Both were friendly and efficient. In fact, they had to chase me when I went out of town for a couple days, which I found kinda funny, considering that my experience getting anything in the home serviced involves ME chasing vendors, not the other way around. Once we got the install scheduled, it happened very quickly -- my installer was Stephan (and someone else whose name I didn't get). Again, friendly, punctual, professional. They didn't seem to mind one bit either that I was hovering and watching their every move (remember, first-time nervous homeowner!). They were fast and I had a blast watching the installation happen and my windows turn chic. Adam, the owner, runs a great business. He does the design, quotes, measurement, and installation himself, so you are always dealing with the same person. The reason I am giving him 5 stars is his incredibly fast response to any issues. The catch-mechanism on one of my blinds got tangled such that the blind was stuck in place. I called Adam about this problem. That same day, he returned to my home, uninstalled the broken mechanism, installed temporary blinds, and re-ordered (at no charge to me) a replacement mechanism. We contacted Window Wears for an estimate and design options for our master bedroom. Prior to the meeting with Adam we discussed basic options and pricing. Adam showed up on time and brought samples of blinds honeycomb shades. He explained the pros/cons of each sample as well the features. The before and after photos from his portfolio sold us. We selected a 2.5" wood blind with a taupe tape. The product arrived ahead of the estimated time (yay!) and Adam installed them immediately. The installation was quick and clean. I got plantation shutters for the 5 windows on the front of my house. Adam Holzsanger couldn't have been more knowledgeable, helpful, or professional. His product worked better for me since I wanted a frame that would be flush to the molding around my window. I had gotten a quote from Next Day Blinds and their product was like a box that stuck out about 1/2" from my window molding. Adam's prices came in about 10% lower, plus he came to my house and walked me through all the options I would want to consider, for each room. The treatments look fantastic (our neighbors have also been installing similar honeycomb blinds) and the blackout linings are quite convenient for bedrooms. We had our beautiful Hunter Douglas Honeycomb shades installed by Adam at Window Wears last June, and he took great care of us. However, I was prompted to write this review today because a few days ago I broke one of the brackets holding up the largest shade (I wasn't paying attention and continued to pull quite hard once the shade was fully raised). I sent Adam an email asking for his advice, and he immediately suggested a time when he could come out to our place and replace the part at no charge. Sandy did our consultation and was very good and knowledgeable of the products. We had wood blinds for our living room and honeycombs for our bedroom. The experience was easy breezy throughout and the prices were really good especially for Hunter Douglas products. Their prices were really reasonable as well. As a comparison, their quote was a few hundred dollars cheaper than the quote I got from Next Day Blinds and NDB wasn't even quoting me based on Hunter Douglas products, they were giving me their generic stuff. NDB told me that I "couldn't possibly" do HD products with my budget but Window Wears came to the rescue. Thank you! We just got our two bedrooms window shades done with Window Wears, and we can't say enough how pleased we are. Adam came to our place a first time to measure one bedroom, and then a second time when we decided to do both bedrooms at the same time! He was very pleasant and helped us deciding on the fabric, colors, and models. A couple weeks after, as promised, we were contacted for our installation. Stephan was extremely polite and efficient in doing the job. We found that three windows are crooked and some parts didn't fit as ordered; Stephan immediately went to the shop to fix it, and came back within 45 minutes. GREAT customer service, excellent help picking out just the right blinds for our home. I couldn't be happier. As far as price, well, could be as expensive or inexpensive as you want. I of course picked blinds that would be expensive ANYWHERE. What really was helpful was how Adam dealt with one of the blinds in the bedroom not working properly upon installation (which of course means that he actually tested them rather than hanging them and leaving). He was on the phone with the manufacturer right away and got the problem sorted (they need to send a new blind) rather than making it my problem (which Next Day Blinds has done to me in the past). He was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and precise in helping us select the ideal type of window treatment and textile for each room (Hunter Douglas treatments, half of which are automated). Mike at Window Wears offers the best customer service I have ever received! A cord to our Hunter Douglas blinds broke, and I assumed I'd need to pay a ridiculous amount to have it fixed. Instead, Mike both walked me through how to replace the cord myself AND arranged for Hunter Douglas to send me two cords free. Replacing the cord turned out to be rather easy. Mike followed up with me numerous times to make sure that things were going well -- and he did this entirely for free!! I have never received such excellent service. We bought 20+ shutters for our new construction home. Bill (sales) is great - he's the reason we went with Window Wears - the problem is that you only see Bill on the front end....then you get handed over to the back office. You'd wish that Bill would call and make sure we're ecstatic or happy - simple checkin or hello would help the customer experience. Any installing is deferred to 2 older guys that will bring their tools and spend the day installing - nice guys but don't expect any sort of clean up of the holes they're drilling. One tip - take any white shutter and keep it overnight to the light - our shutters appear to be pink at nighttime... read more
