I had a window with a bad seal. I called Window World of Macon. Stephanie who professional and patient took all my information and said she would take care of it and call me when it arrived. She called me back in 10 minutes and said it was not from window World. It was from another supplier and sold by a different construction company. I contacted Window World of Middle Ga to replace 30+ windows, front door and an exterior French door. The crew of 5 was unprofessional, not trained and didn't respect our property . Examples: The only tools used was a hammer and screwdriver (which is the norm as I was told when I inquired about it to their office) gouging the woodwork as they tried to pry out windows. They broke at least 10 windows and didn't do a very good job cleaning up the glass. One of the workers stood on the back of a toilet to try to get a window out and the same worker stood on my AC unit rather than get a ladder. One worker picked up my tools (without asking permission) and began using it. When I approached him he didn't apologize, just shrugged his shoulders saying his battery was dead. I live on a lake, one day one of the workers began to get into a boat tied up in the back yard, when I yelled at him he quickly got out. Then the problems began. They began installing windows and had 2" gaps or more. They did not come back for several weeks- just left the gaps open. My pleas to get it finished fell on deaf ears. I was told that they had several crews that were busy and he would rather upset me than 4 other customers! I was told that this was their best crew when I requested another crew to finish the job. I contacted the home office in N Carolina to ask for a quality control person to make a visit - denied "Each Franchisee takes care of their own issues." Hardly a good response for a company that "Stands on their windows."? Finally, two months later they sent a follow up crew to straighten out the mess. This crew was very professional. They made adjustments to all the windows and did a great job. There were still a couple of windows that did not operate as they should but I was relieved that it was at least closed in. I thought all might be OK but when it rained, several windows leaked. We were renovating this house and had just installed wood floors so we had to keep towels under the windows that leaked. After several months they sent a factory rep to look at the problems. The large 6' x 6' windows were not within specifications ( they were warped which would not allow them to seal. It took almost a year for them to replace the leaking windows. I requested that they get all the parts, windows, etc and replace at once. This was September 2020 - they said they could do it in December but I asked them to move it to January- after the holidays. I contacted the owner in January but no response. I contacted them again in early February 2021 and received a call from their customer service. They said they had not received all the windows & door yet. The front door, a $4,000+ door creaked and made cracking noises when the sun hit it. I had been waiting over a year to get it replaced but continuously was given excuses - "Sherwin Williams is having a difficult time formulating the correct paint for the door." "The door factory is way behind." "COVID 19". This continued for over a year. I also informed them in our February conversation that an upper sash glass was cracked. They asked for the serial # but I was on my way to FL. I told them it was an upper sash on one of the two windows the same size on the left side of the house if they were standing in front looking at it. They have all that on file. Finally they said they received all the parts and set up an appointment to complete the job. They came to replace - finally. The crew leader said he had two large window... but there were three that we're supposed to be replaced. The upper sash was the wrong size, the custom screen for the slider that was flimsy and would not slide easily was not a heavier screen as the factory rep promised. They sent a direct replacement which would not slide easily, even after they made adjustments. The front door works well but I had to go to the local builders supply to get molding so he could finish installing. The molding is white and the rest is black... still. That was 4-22-21. I wrote an email Friday May 14, 2021 to WW Corporate and cc'd WW of Middle Ga explaining my most recent experience and asked that a copy be given to the President of WW. I asked that they call me on the following Monday or Tuesday, leave message if I didn't answer as I was having heart bypass surgery on Thursday. .. No response. I sent a follow up "second request" and received a reply from WW Middle Ga. " They tried to call you Monday but you didn't answer. I looked at my phone records- no call, no voice mail from WW Corporate. The Regional Manager from their Tampa office was cc'd- no response. When WW Middle Ga, sent me the email saying that they tried to call, he inadvertently copied me on his response to WW Corp... Mr. xxx couldn't be bothered to give us the correct sash information and that I admitted to their contractor that it was my error!!! I replied that I was on my way to FL and that I NEVER admitted fault. There's more but I'm out of space. read more

I bought new windows from Window World in 2009. Recently I noticed that several of the windows had spots/stains on them that didn't clean off. I called Window World today and they explained that the seal had broken which caused the problem. They ordered new windows from all the windows with that problem and will replace them as soon as the windows come in. They were very gracious and helpful. No haggling just we will fix it. The warranty that comes with these windows is fantastic. i highly recommend Window World for their product, warranty, and service. read more

I would never recommend Window World of Macon to anyone based on how I have been treated. While it is true my windows were purchased and installed prior to Josh taking over this location/ownership, I have left numerous messages both on voice mail and with individuals to make contact with Josh and have yet to receive either a call back or response. I was promised $50 for every referral of which I had two separate individuals to purchased windows and gave me as the person who referred them but I have yet to receive a dime. I still have a couple of windows left to do but It won't be with window world. read more

I ordered new windows and doors in August 2014. My project was completed on April 30, 2015 after several rounds of wrong doors, wrong thresholds, and damaged merchandise. Poor communication and no quality control before sending out installers, and even sending installers with known incorrect product with hopes I would simply accept it. HORRIBLE service. read more

My husband and I purchased new replacement windows and a new sliding glass door for our home in 2013. We were pleased with the price, the products and the installation process was fairly easy. We decided to go with window world of Macon again in spring of 2014 with replacing our Vinyl siding, Vinyl cedar shakes, gutters, replacement front and back door. The installation process went ok but immediately after, we started noticing things that were not done properly. (nails hanging out of side of house, doors not shutting properly, siding literally falling off, siding bowing, shutters falling off ) . We requested another walk-thru with the salesman, Brian who is also the construction manager. He stated all the problems were obvious and that they were an a installer error and had nothing to do with their product. He also informed me that he had replaced the construction crew due to all of the problems they were having. It has now been 5 or 6 different visits for repairs and multiple phone calls, mostly made by myself or my husband because no one is communicating with us....and my home is still not fully repaired. I am very disappointed with our salesman, the workmanship, and the customer service I received when I complained, (I was told that i couldn't talk to the owner. I was given an email address to reach a manager)... Also Do not refer anyone.....We referred 3 different people who had work done, (obviously before we found out what type of customer service we would receive) and we have yet to receive our referral fees. read more
