I recently closed on a house and since it was older I needed my windows replaced. I went with Window World trying but I guess I shouldn't have. At first, things were going well since I was contacted not even 5 minutes after I sent in my information for a quote on their website, which I was impressed by. I booked an appointment for the quote and was expecting a representative at my house at 6pm on Monday (today) but after 30 minutes of waiting no one showed up. Called Window World, and was told that they don't know why he didn't show up so I was put on hold and after I was put back on, the man who answered the phone, Marty, said that my representative was already at the address and was talking to the customer already, he wasn't. Just to make sure I didn't get confused, I confirmed my address just in case but it was correct so that wasn't the issue. At this point, I was annoyed by the clear miscommunication on there end so I gave Marty a call back and told home that I would just go with someone else since I was on a time crunch to get this dine. He was very understanding and apologized, even though it probably wasn't his fault, but what this told me is that my time clearly wasn't important enough to them. If this is how the QUOTE was going, I couldn't imagine what the actual installation of the windows would have gone. So yeah, don't go with Window World. read more

From the top (Patrick Moran) to management, the installation crew and administration, everyone was a pleasure to work with, and everyone worked hard in assuring that my 100-year-old 3 story home, with 20 new windows and new vinyl siding, looked good and functioned properly. After spending over $16,000 on Windows and Doors, 6 out of 18 windows were damaged upon installation. When I informed the office manager of the situation, she blew me off and placed all blame on the manufacturer, without even the slightest apology. She attempted to collect an additional $2,500 that had already been paid as well. My windows came caked with adhesive material that took several types of adhesive removers and hours of my time to get off. I am appalled that after spending that amount of money, I had to spend hours removing adhesive material and cleaning brand new windows. I would HIGHLY encourage anyone making that sort of investment in home improvement to go to a company that actually values its customers and treats their concerns with genuine respect. I find Window World to be an embarrassment to customer service and window quality. read more

I have waited too long to write this review. We paid thousands of dollars for an inferior product. First, one window was not measured correctly. When the windows came, three of them had grids that weren't straight. All of the windows were made incorrectly. They had gaps on the outside that would let moisture, bugs, dirt, whatever into the windows. They put the windows in, and the installers were outside contractors. Window world does not have their own crews to do the work. And they do not manufacture their own windows. They buy them from a separate company. The windows had to be remade, after a rep from the company came in to look at them and much back and forth. We called the company numerous times and requested that the owner please contact us. They never did. Evidently they were too busy standing on their windows. We would never have the crew that installed our windows do anything for us. They put extra holes in our woodwork, pulled some plaster off the walls and in general, we don't believe they really were qualified to install windows. Although they were very personable. We just had our house pressure washed, so had to clean the windows again. In two of them, there were bugs building nests in a place where the window should be sealed and nothing should be able to get in. I am so dissatisfied with these windows, I tell everyone who asks, "do not deal with window world!". I'm sorry we ever heard of them!! 01-25-18: Window World of Youngstown installed windows in my house. Everything was fine till they went to remove a large picture window, it was stuck. They were yanking and pulling on the window. My wall would move every time the yanked the pictures on the wall were also bouncing around. This went on for about 5 mins. I told them I thought they were trying to pull the wall down. They just laughed it off. PROBLEM: Monday 03-26-18 I went out to get the mail. It was raining, above the window where the awning attaches to the house was leaking. I called Window World, they sent a man out on02-29-18. The man stated their yanking and pulling had nothing to do with the leak. All my seals were broken. I said yea well they broke when they were yanking and pulling on the window. This awning isn't even 3 yr. old. He stated as far as he was concerned it is weather related and I can't prove otherwise. I said so you are not going to fix this. He looked at me and said no. We had been debating who was at fault for over 1/2 an hour. I told him to get his thing and leave. He was very condescending, acting like I was just a dumb woman, I needed to listen to and believe all his bs. This video shows the leaks are over the window. I had my windows installed almost a year ago they rescheduled multiple times after their scheduled arrival time without giving me notice I had to get ahold of them and talk to less than helpful employees who acted like I should just be happy with being moved down their list of jobs. Then they finally put them in and my front window to my dining room was installed poorly and they will not even respond to fix it after I paid for it. Almost a year later I also never received my storm windows. If you want windows 2 months after they first schedule them after you pay them in full and to never have what you paid for be properly installed they are the place. One of the workers refused to put out his cigarette while in my home also which is pretty ridiculous. I am not happy with the work performed and have not been able to get them to fix it. Still waiting for a call back. I just want my window installed properly so that there isn't a draft when I just paid several thousand dollars on energy efficient windows for my entire home. So I ended up paying 5k for a job that was never totally finished. Even if they do correct the situation I will not remove my review so that others aren't surprised by the quality of service received which is far less than satisfactory. They truly deserve 0 stars they are not honest trustworthy people. read more
