I was sent an extremely well laid out itinerary for checking in, what to expect during our stay, procedures, directions. They thought of everything. I didn't need to ask a single question. We stayed in the Pine cabin. I was booking 2 weeks in advance, so I had to take what was open and change my dates to stay during the week. Initially I had my sights set on the cabin with a screened in porch, but this sweet cabin was perfect for just the 2 of us. I can't say enough good things about our stay. The view from our little front porch, paired with the symphony of frogs, cicadas, and other wildlife was intoxicating. It was my favorite spot to eat breakfast, have my morning coffee, and then tea after lunch and dinner. It was still cool enough at night to open the windows and enjoy being sung to sleep by nature. Our private, large hot tub filled with mineral water from the hot springs was heaven on earth. It really did ease our achey joints and my skin seemed to love it. There's just enough of an opening in the trees above, in this secluded little haven, to be able to see the stars at night. I thoroughly enjoyed floating on my back, gazing at the stars at night. Then again in the morning, while the light, cool rain washed over the top of me. Everything about our stay was sensory heaven for me. The cabin was well stocked with what we may need. Very clean and cozy. By bringing our own bed linens and towels we saved $35 off of our cleaning fee. Cell service in the community is really spotty, so I was relieved to have wifi access in the cabin. For some reason, we figured out that we got the best connection on the couch by the patio doors. While we wanted to unplug for the week, we still needed to be able to check on our feral roommates that we call grandchildren. I hope my review inspires others to travel to Hot Springs. This community is still recovering from Hurricane Helene and could use our support. Everywhere we went, we were met with such friendliness and warmth. We heard several stories of resilience and of a community coming together for the greater good. They deserve more help than what they've received so far.

The purpose of this detailed review is to prevent other guests from making a reservation on a Yonder listing based on the description only to find that the description is not accurate. The listing is described as follows: "Peaceful and tucked in the woods-yet minutes to I-40 for easy day trips" "This home is located in a peaceful, private mountain community" It also states it is a "relaxing setting" The main issue: Even though it takes about 10 minutes to get to the listing from the highway (which involves steep/gravel roads), there is constant, very loud noise from the highway that can be heard on the back porch (which has the view of the mountains), and in the entire residence if the windows are open. This was quite unexpected based on the listing description. After I had completed the booking request, Yonder sent a message to me with driving instructions and suggested printing out the instructions in case GPS failed to work on the way up. The written list of directions that were provided from Yonder made it appear the listing was "tucked into the woods". Yonder has continued to deny my refund request for 6 nights and has stated they will refund me for 2 nights due to them being booked by another guest. Yonder has admitted there is constant highway noise as evidenced by their edited listing description, yet they continue to tell me that their listing was accurately described at the time I booked the listing. I contacted Airbnb to discuss my concerns about the listing and they stated they couldn't do anything because of the house rules: 6. Cancellations/Changes. The cancellation policy listed on Airbnb at the time of booking will apply. Your booking ‒ and this Agreement ‒ pertains solely to this specific Property. If a member of your party has particular needs ‒ such as allergies or a medical condition ‒ for which this Property is ill-suited, Yonder will attempt to answer and address those concerns (preferably ahead of booking the Property), but such particular needs do not serve as a basis to seek a refund in the event you elect to vacate the property. In addition, and except as provided in paragraph 25, if you are disappointed with the Property upon arrival due to such things as location, décor, road or driveway condition, or ambient noise beyond our control, your disappointment does not serve as grounds for moving to another property or seeking a refund of your vacation rental fees ‒ even if you decide to vacate the Property prior to your scheduled Check-out. 38. I have stayed at several Air BNB listings that advertised close proximity to the highway for convenience and it was not close enough where constant noise was heard. Due to the advertised setting and description of the listing, there was no way to have known about this noise prior to my arrival. There is constant, loud road noise 24/7 because of the close proximity to a major interstate.

The drive up the mountainside was beautiful (and slightly scary) but oh-so worth it! I was relieved to have made it through the weekend without a flat tire considering the gravel roads we had to trek up to get to the cabin and to the beautiful hiking spots nearby. We made the whole trip in a Honda Accord but with the knowledge we have now, we'd likely get a more rugged rental car for our next visit. As for the cabin...right away I was in awe of how cute and cozy the whole cabin/property was! The cabin was perfectly stocked with everything you'd need for two guests (planning to share a comfortable queen-sized bed) - soap, towels, linens, dishes, silverware, etc. Everything you'd have to bring on your own was very explicitly and clearly stated on their website so we were more than prepared for the weekend trip. I've always loved the idea of "glamping" in a furnished cabin and this was everything and more. The cabin was decked out with new kitchen appliances, a toaster, plenty of pots and pans, drinking glasses, cooking spices, a clean stove top, washer/dryer, spacious shower with benches, outdoor grill, new bath vanity, adjustable TV, fireplace and easily-adjustable air conditioning unit with an electronic thermostat right on the wall. The outdoor patio had a table with bench seats and grill supplies such as an extra tank of propane, a lighter, a spatula and tongs. There was also a nice rocking bench fit for two, a fenced in yard for the pups and a cute little doggy door with a ramp leading straight from the patio to the yard. And saving the best for the last, the patio included a spacious private hot tub! Throughout the cabin, there were friendly, clearly written tips/instructions posted to remind you of how to adjust the thermostat, what settings to keep for the hot tub and how to use the washer/dryer, etc. This was very helpful! I also appreciated the "concierge book" of local activities, menus from local restaurants, and maps with directions to local hiking spots. This was helpful considering there were very few spots along the mountain-side where either of us got any service on our cellphones - a detail that is also clearly stated on their website.
