We then received the tour schedule right before our trip. We flew to Miami and were scheduled to fly to Ecuador that same night. At the gate, we were told that we could not fly because one of our passports was under 6 months prior to expiration. Over the past three months, since paying for the trip, no message or call from this tour company regarding our passports. We could not fly. We had to go to the Federal Passport Agency the next day and get a new passport. Once our agent started calling this tour company to reschedule by one day, she informed us that we had to pay $400 more for the airline tickets and $650 more for the tour even though nothing was added to the tour. We actually paid that money for the tour being shortened by a day. They felt that it was not their problem as a full service tour company to inform customers of problems that they encountered with their passports (remember, it was no expired - still 3 months left on it). No refunds for hotels that were scheduled 4-5 days out ! We paid for a night we did not use. They also told us that if we did not pay the additional $650, that they would cancel the tour and keep all the money. This is a HORRIBLE tour company that is truly only out to take you money and not to assist you with your tour. They also will not take any responsibility for the problems that they contributed to. DO NOT USE THEM !!! By the end of the first 24 hours of our trip, we had spent an additional $1600 so the trip could continue.
