The indoor pool in pictures on various sites is almost completely destroyed, filled in, a big mess, and has been for quite a while. 4. The doors leading to exterior don't lock. Anyone can just stroll in. Perhaps this is why common areas have lights barely hanging on to ceiling and look a mess. 5. Not only does the door nearest the stairs not lock, it has a push bar you need too PULL to open and it doesn't even open 90 degrees. Was a mess to get in with luggage. 6. Free Breakfast? Hahaha hahaha. You get 2 pancakes. That's it. Coffee was out, just 2 juice choices and pancakes. Period. 7. Where to eat the breakfast? Good question. Signs all around warning you not to take it to your room, but the only place to sit was in the meeting room, which was filled with boxes and used for storage as well. 8. Guess I should've ignored the signs about breakfast as when I pulled up there were people drinking and smoking near the entrance despite signs all over the place about $200 fines for smoking anywhere on property.

After we got home (8hrs away), I realized I forgot my Tablet in one of the rooms we were in. I called in a panic. Spoke to 3 of the clerks and the manager who took the time to look and Send it back. I still changed my passwords because of the hackers. Took 5 days later. But I am amazed how the staff, and management found my Tablet (shipped it via UPS), back to me free of charge. No damage at all!Nicest bunch of people I ever met while on a road trip. The hotel is being renovated so I hope the staff will stay on because we would love to stay here again! I had to contact hotels.com to get it upgraded and it's only slightly better. The hotel pool looks like a wading pool. Not inviting. I will not be staying here again. The rooms were super clean and the air conditioners kept the rooms very comfortable throughout the whole stay. The bathroom was nice and clean and the shower was easy to access in the water pressure was fairly decent. The bed was fairly comfortable and the Wi-Fi worked well. The staff at this location were very nice and helpful. I even used the laundry facilities downstairs with ease as they were clean and a nice relaxing place to sit down while my laundry was washing.. The lobby and breakfast area were really clean and well put. Of the five days on the road this by far is the best and I would stay here again with no problem. The incident originated from a booking-line breakdown regarding an explicitly requested late checkout that was neither clearly understood nor relayed to the property by the phone agent. While internal communication errors happen, the physical response by property staff was entirely unacceptable. While inside our occupied room with both the deadbolt and privacy latch engaged, a male housekeeping staff member used an electronic master key to bypass the locks and entered without permission. My partner had just exited the shower and was completely unclothed. Rather than immediately retreating and shutting the door upon discovering the room was occupied, the employee remained in the entryway questioning our departure. When raised with on-site management, our concerns were dismissed, and appropriate remediation was initially refused. When law enforcement was contacted regarding the unauthorized entry, the Wichita Police Department advised filing formal complaints with the Better Business Bureau. During the subsequent corporate review, local management made statements that directly conflicted with staff admissions, claiming their deadbolts could not be physically bypassed, and later asserting that hallway security camera footage was unavailable. Due to the lack of on-site resolution, two formal Better Business Bureau complaints were submitted: * Against the property directly (BBB Complaint #24923794). * Against the property's management operator, StepStone Hospitality (BBB Complaint #25169395). StepStone Hospitality failed to respond to the bureau's inquiries, leading to an official bureau closure for non-response. Resolving this matter ultimately required direct intervention from Hilton Corporate Executive Customer Care, who reviewed the conflicting property accounts and authorized a full refund. Prospective guests should be aware of the documented security bypass and the absence of effective on-site dispute resolution.
