We were in Windsor to swill wine and get loose, there were six of us and during the pandemic uber and lift have really dropped the ball so we called Greg. He was quick, the car was clean and the prices were right. We used him multiple times over the weekend including to the airport and I gotta say I'm glad we did, he was like our personal driver. He is chatty and a little eccentric but all in all a pretty good dude, he also knows Windsor like the back of his hand. We will definitely use him next time we are in the area. I am not understanding all the negative review. The guy does his job and does it well and at a fair price. He arrived on time, loaded my luggage and dropped me off quickly. What more do you want? I took a different cab company coming home and it costs 25% more was filthy and did not take credit cards. I have used his services again since and am very happy with the service he provides. I've recently been forced to take this taxi service as my usual guy's car broke down. I held my breath as I hopped into the car... and what do you know, he got a new car! Unfortunately though the new car smell couldn't mask his negative demeanor. HOWEVER he did make an effort to service the customer, and I think in some moments he was trying to be nice, but the snarky comments about drunk and disorderly clients is STILL unprofessional. It boggles my mind that this guy has been in business for YEARS. What people go through to get to places. Sheesh. I'll award an extra star for effort. I have lived in Windsor 46 years, my entire life. I have used Windsor Express Taxi maybe 6-8 times so I am well familiar with Greg and the service he provides. Greg keeps his vehicles clean and tidy. Yes, Greg is a talker, but hey he is honest and he will tell it like it is... no doubt..but he has never talked down, been rude or disrespected me ever. His humor is a little on the dry side, but I find it hilarious. I will continue to use Windsor Express Taxi and support Greg 100%. I had been using Greg's taxi service for a number of years and although he is quite opinionated he had been spot on as far as reliable. This past Wednesday 5/11 when I had pre arranged a pickup for the 0620 Flight out of Sonoma County's Airport. I had tried to call the evening before to confirm to no avail, neither of his numbers are set up with voice mail. The morning of the departure he was a no show. It caused us quite a bit of needless anxiety. Luckily it turned out I was able to find another service to get us to the airport barely on time. I would have had to wait to rent a car try and get a flight out of SFO or Oakland at a considerable expense and inconvenience. I was incredibly disappointed and he certainly will never get my business or recommendation again. Save yourself the aggravation and don't use him! read more

I was in a real bind having my car totaled and stranded. He picked me up and drove me all over the place from two stops in Windsor then all the way to Sebastopol Road to pick up another vehicle. He was very chatty but very friendly and in the best way he could as helpful as he could be. I must have utilized his time for at least an hour and a half and only paid 50 that included tip. At one point he turned off his meter to give me a little extra time based on my predicament. He was a real help in a time of need. I am rating Windsor Express Taxi with 5 stars. We built our home in Windsor in the year 2000 and have never need transportation prior to calling Windsor Express. I have been an RN for close to 20 years and I appreciate professional and punctual performance. The service Greg's Windsor Express Taxi provided last week from my home to the airport completely met my expectations. Greg was a professional. I was picked up on time- actually arrived couple of minutes early -Greg was parked in my driveway waiting as I walked out the door for a scheduled 9:40 am pick up. His taxi was clean,fresh,and comfortable. It was a very hot humid day. He had the air conditioning at a perfect temperature when I entered his taxi. He was very pleasant and a very safe driver. Horrible! I do not recommend at all. Was given this company's name from a wedding venue. I called to make sure they would pick up guests from venue and was told no very rudely. I'm sorry I can't give a positive review. The driver was friendly and I got to my destination in a timely manner and at a fair price. However- his little dog was in the back seat and there was a bad odor as well. I love dogs and wouldn't have minded but the seat looked stained so if there had been more passengers someone would have has to sit back there. I could have dealt with the odor as it was but as we drove along, new odors cropped up - not sure if from the driver or dog, but it was really rank. WIndsor Express Taxi is one of a kind. Always on time, safe and friendly!! We have used this service exclusively since we have lived in Windsor. He has even driven our daughter (in a car seat) on multiple occasions. Greg is personable, helpful in finding night life, and willing to go out of his way to find you, even if it's on an obscure dirt road. this guy is a real weirdo, in person and on the phone. Belligerent and rude, and charged me almost double the estimate he provided (I was stranded a long way from home, and explained that I didn't have a lot of money when I called) Then was unhappy with the tip. Please dont use him. I'd say more, but he might figure out who I am and remember where he dropped me off (I think they write that down?) even though I've waited several months to post this. So, I grew up in Windsor living there for twenty five years. When I was stranded and needed a ride to work or a car broke down, this guy was there, when other friends and family could not be! He beat the rates of others and his political opinions were interesting to hear about, while driving me to work so that I can make it on time. Overall, he is a character!! This man is engaged in life and is excited to serve people, but watch your manners and demeanor because he is honest and will tell you the truth! I love the service he has given me, even when I had my moments when I wanted peace and quiet and he was still talking. I find it a little hysterical hearing about the other reviews that had been left because it isn't rocket science that Greg is different from other cab drivers. He is only human and he is living the life! And, even though he isn't always a five star, he deserves above average because he has character and I believe some of his rides should be broadcast on a cab show, or at least you-tube or something, for being interesting and at times funny. My advice for those who have had negative experiences with 'Windsor Express Taxi' be open and understanding! Life isn't worth making things difficult for those who are serving you. Not everyone is perfect! Not everyone is on time! Not everyone can help the way they are, but at least Greg puts in an honest effort and delivers good service with his character! And, yes, it is sad that many times the only ones who come on these sites and write reviews are those willing to knock off someone when they should really be evaluating what they are doing and why. I'm writing this review because I don't want anyone else to be put into danger. Yes, danger!. I'm not going to disclose certain details for the same reasons that Kande has already mentioned in her previous review. From the moment we got into the taxi it was a very unsafe & hostile environment. The taxi driver was enraged, banging on his steering wheel, throwing his hands in the air, looking in his review mirror at us and over his shoulder and running off the road. He seemed mentally unstable and/or under the influence - definitely unable to operate an automobile. There were several instances where I almost asked to get out of the taxi for fear that something bad was going to happen. The other passengers with me all felt just as equally uncomfortable. Our gut instinct was telling us that something wasn't right and that this man was either dangerous or completely belligerent. He ranted the entire drive - very manic, very rude and very odd! I feared for me safety the entire time and it seems like other passengers have felt the same way. Please be safe and don't use this taxi service. read more
