We discovered S&H online through their 800-Get-a-Rug site. I absolutely love that they display a great portion of their merchandise online, with excellent, true-to-life photos, exact measurements, and prices. After perusing their website we were able to pinpoint one particular rug that looked like a great choice for our needs and they kindly had it waiting for us when we came to the showroom to look around. Lo and behold, the rug was exactly as pictured and even though we looked at some other styles during our visit, we ultimately wound up purchasing the rug we'd seen online. You can also order online but we wanted to see the various options in person. The managers are lovely to work with and very knowledgeable. It's a nice touch that they bring you hot tea when you first arrive. Appointments are strongly suggested so they can focus on each customer individually. We have more rug shopping to do and will definitely return to S&H!

So when I realized that a few more recent rugs (bought in Turkey about 20 years ago) needed cleaning and some light repairs, of course I brought them to Nazmiyal. As was the case earlier, both rugs were cleaned up and repaired beautifully. The people here are friendly, respectful, and highly competent - and they know more about rugs than anyone else I've met anywhere. My apartment is not large and I don't have room for any more rugs - but when the rug I bought in India a few years ago needs cleaning (sometime in the 2040s is what I'm guessing), I'll bring it here. And if I ever move to a larger place, I'll be coming to Nazmiyal to maybe pick up a few more rugs. They've got a huge collection.

The folks at Starr worked with us and allowed us to take many samples home on several occasions. But the best part of this review is the customer service that we received from Starr. The installers were amazing and very courteous. Also, we had a complication with our install that had nothing to do with Starr and yet they were very willing to work with us to fix the issue. That is what I call amazing customer service!!! I would not hesitate to recommend Starr to anyone in the market to purchase carpet.
