Also the lady singing cannot sing at all. sounded horrible. very distracting while i'm trying to pray. i've been to better churches. seems like this church isn't for people of God but for people trying to find God.

Than we came to The Rock.. Pastor Ross is the absolute best Pastor I have had the honor of hearing in my adult life. My husband who was raised JW, became a Christian after 5months of going to The Rock and in his words he said "he lead me to the water.. I just had to drink" If you want to understand what the bible says, feel welcomed.. If you want to be surrounded by the most genuine people, where every pastor, deacon, every person in leadership you can see that God has called them.. This is the church for you..

I'll start with the positives: There are lots of groups here, the space, although small, is well used, and the music is absolutely amazing! All the congregates seemed so enthusiastic to be there, which really drew me in until the sermon. I also love that they offer ASL interpretations in their recorded sermons! All that being said, I found myself feeling intimidated by the amount of "fire and brimstone" preaching towards sinners and non-believers and was put off by the amount of political discussion by congregation members outside of the service that made me, an openly queer person, feel a bit unsafe and ready to get going as soon as I could. I'm so glad this place works for some people, but the lack of compassion for outsiders did not work for me.

You won't hear any "christianese" or have a message full of acronyms and seven steps to perfection. The community consists of all ages and everyone interacts. Pastor Jeff' has an extreme amount of knowledge of scripture, history and is very relevant and real. He speaks truth. There is a great kids program and even an after school arts program (ASAP). Worship is contemporary but there is still a good hymn sung once in a while. Also occasionally a great concert, JJ Heller is coming soon!
