We had a 2 hour party for about 14 kids. She had a helper in as well. The studio at the Main squeeze was so spacious and well lit, Kids were placed at a safe distance on each table. She had them start out with decorating goody bags and then introduced tracing the outline, tracing each parts and then gently guiding them towards the painting the colors in. She and her helper did their best to help kids out with the tracing and outlining. She kept the kids very engaged and as the canvas dried she made an air dry clay unicorn horn with them. Of course every 6 year old wants to put various colored crystals on their unicorn horns! As everything was drying she did a small song/dance party for the kids. The goody bags were filled with candies and cute stuff. My daughter loved her birthday party and her friends enjoyed it as well. Highly recommend this place for any kind of art parties and seeing how patient of a teacher she is, if you are inclined towards art classes, she would be a great choice.

The best part is there is no clean up after or even before having a girls night! We had all gone to another place and while we had fun Hammer and Stain is a lot more affordable and they have a lot of craft variety. I love they have different projects from door mats to all sizes of signs. And they are priced accordingly. While I love my larger projects it is also nice to have some smaller things to do. I won this class on Facebook, but we had just been talking about picking a night to come. Before leaving we checked out the future projects room and there was some fun stuff! I know I want to do some smaller items for my 3 tier tray and my friend saw a cool football she wants to do. The location is perfect! They have their own parking lot. There were 3 large tables and our projects were there waiting for us. You sign up online and pick a project that they will have for the different classes. I have such a hard time deciding, but love the sign I chose! I went with paint instead of stain and love that I can get help even though I have done it before. It's nice to have someone there to help with color choices. I am bad about using too much paint so it was good Mansa was there to guide us! I am always the one who ends up with paint on me. Of course it washed off, or I would have teal fingers today. I love seeing the other projects and really like the paint wall so you can choose colors and stains. They have a fun Valentines day class where you make a tray and decorate cookies! Our plan is to do a St. Patrick's day class with friends. I can't wait to see all the upcoming classes. We started by picking out our paint colors and then learning how to properly combine them to get ready to put on our board. They showed us different examples of how we could pour the paint to come up with different designs/looks. It is so cool to see how many different ways you could take your creation. It was so cool to see the finished product from the day and I'm even more excited to see how it looks once they finish their work (I think the boards get a resin finish and not sure what else!) We had Tara and she helped make the experience super fun. She helped with paint combinations and also gave thorough instructions throughout, so we felt confident when we had to put paint to canvas. The owner was in the studio as well and she was so friendly and enjoyable to talk to while working on our art. I feel like there could be so many cool combinations, and I wanna come back to make another project in the future! It was a 2 hour class and I believe the tutorial took about 30-40 minutes of that 2 hours. You get to make 2 pieces, but I only made 1 because I kept messing up. LOL. They keep it for about 2 weeks to fire and glaze it with the color you choose. I'll add a photo of the finished product when I get it. It was a lot of fun, but I really wish I would've had more time.
