It's a cluster of old buildings now housing artist studios, gallery spaces and more. On any given day, you can browse artists' studio spaces and connect with them in person to purchase art or commission a piece - I'm in awe of their talents! NPA is active in the local arts community and hosts engaging programming for all ages year-round. Take art classes, attend a First Friday gathering or bring your kids for kid-friendly activities like Superhero Day. Check out "Handmade in Indiana" in December, a gallery show/gift shop where you can browse local handmade goods, some from artists-in-residence at NPA. Shop local during the holiday season!

We started by picking out our paint colors and then learning how to properly combine them to get ready to put on our board. They showed us different examples of how we could pour the paint to come up with different designs/looks. It is so cool to see how many different ways you could take your creation. It was so cool to see the finished product from the day and I'm even more excited to see how it looks once they finish their work (I think the boards get a resin finish and not sure what else!) We had Tara and she helped make the experience super fun. She helped with paint combinations and also gave thorough instructions throughout, so we felt confident when we had to put paint to canvas. The owner was in the studio as well and she was so friendly and enjoyable to talk to while working on our art. I feel like there could be so many cool combinations, and I wanna come back to make another project in the future! They do take walk-ins as long as there is availability, but you can book online to ensure they are ready for you. Highly recommend checking this place out!!

The Polk Street Review Project was really my introduction to the organization. It's an annual creative placemaking arts project that includes workshops, a podcast/short videos series, and the annual book. Each year, the book has a theme - for 2025, it's "Behind the Veil." Some will remember the organization as Logan Street Sanctuary, though the Logan Street property that formerly served as its home was sold to Noblesville Preservation Alliance in 2019. The mission of the organization is to promote greater awareness and encouragement for Creative Arts in Hamilton County and beyond. The organization provides projects, events, educational workshops, and other opportunities for creative spirits from Hamilton County and beyond. The organization's simple yet effective website contains a remarkable history of its events and is a powerful reminder of the impact that a small non-profit organization can have on promoting the arts in a community. There's much to love about Community Education Arts - from its volunteers to its community-based projects to the wonderful The Polk Street Review. When I contacted the owner I figured 'what the heck couldn't hurt'... This one was my 'reach' like those college apps you fill out knowing there's like a 2% chance you get in. I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only was the owner very down to earth, but he was willing to work with me on price so that it was too. He sent it out to me the day after I paid just like he said he would do. Everything was well-packed and the piece was exactly as it appeared in the listing (only prettier in person lol). So I wound up with a gorgeous rig that also more than ticks my function boxes, when I really thought it was going to be out of my grasp going in. Lesson learned, never hurts to ask. Worst anyone can really do is say no, or maybe in some cases insult you; luckily this was a much more knowledgeable/professional person to deal with.
