This is a small intimate place to relax and be creative. You get one cup of wine with your ticket but you can bring your own bottle, which I did. The instructor saved the straight line for last and after a few drinks mine were far from straight, so maybe one glass is best. All in all the instructors was great and we had a awesome time.

Wife and I did the "on wheels" one at Adventure Brewpub. The artist Mary was great and we had a blast doing Sweater Cat. I can't even draw good stick people so the fact that mine looks like a cat is a miracle. I highly recommend.

Mommy and me mermaid class, Sept 2016

The Mommy and me class was a terrific family activity. We went to the studio in historic Falmouth, a great location. The spot is just down the hill from Gari Melcher's historic estate, the American artist. We did a two hour class to make matching paintings of mermaids, see the picture. I had two of my daughters with me and none of us had painted on canvas before, but everyone was very happy with the outcome. They supply everything needed, apron, brushes, paint, canvas, easel, etc. The basic picture was drawn on the canvas for us and the teacher walked us through each step of the project. They also had a custom music play list going based on the theme of the project. My kids built confidence in their artistic ability and enthusiasm for art because the class was si accessible for them. We will definitely do it again. Note that the Mommy and me class is normally for a pair.

Fiasco! Limited one-on-one assistance. Good for those who already know technique.

Could not remember the name of store and after much investigative work found it, left a message and Dave was very kind to call me back and help me order some more. I was encouraged to browse, told about the pieces in shop, and had an interesting conversation with one of the owners about his passion for his craft. Ponshop is owned by husband-and-wife artist duo Gabriel and Scarlett Pons (making the gallery's name that much cuter). Scarlett creates the unique ceramics on display: spouted bowls, blossom-shaped dishes, watering pitchers with what looks like Bob Marley's likeness stamped on the sides, decorative vases, and even hand puppets made from clay and fabric. Gabriel works in mixed-media, putting prints, photographs, and paint on wood, or designing one-of-a-kind skateboards. Along with showcasing their own art, the two feature the works of many other local artists from tee-shirts and jewelry, to plush toys, reusable gift "paper", sculpture, and even soaps. The art in Ponshop is provocative and avant-garde, but the whole place feels down-to-earth and welcoming. I really enjoyed poking around and purchased what I've since dubbed a "scarf-lace" since I'm not really sure *what* it is: a many-looped-and-knotted scarf/necklace made from soft jersey material in heather gray and carnation pink stripes. I've never seen anything like it, but out-of-the-ordinary and pleasantly perplexing seems to be the name of the game at Ponshop.
