Everyone loved them and though they were too cute! They even taste better than what they look! La Keisha was very personable and easy to talk to. It saddened me to write this review for Poppin Perfections but unfortunately it's a way for me to…read morevent as well. First off - I have not ever patronized the business however I did have the "pleasure" of interacting with the owner La Keisha Peters, over a 2 day time span recently. I was unlucky enough to have to an email address that is highly sought after so many people do a variation of it and I receive others email messages very often. Normally its pretty entertaining and a simple response of wrong email address stops it for a week or so. On 2/5/18 I received a PayPal Invoice from Poppin Perfections for $113.42. At first I thought it was a phishing/ scam attempt so I logged on to my PayPal app without clicking the email. To my surprise the invoice is there with someone else's information and their order. I attempted to cancel the invoice without any success. 24 hours later it starts sending reminders for me to pay it. I call Paypal and explain the situation - then my call is escalated to a manager in which I am explained that - as the buyer have no rights to delete an invoice - it becomes part of my history with Paypal. My options are it can be cancelled and remain pending on my Paypal account forever or I can contact the company that sent it and they can DELETE IT not CANCEL IT Easy fix right ? I email Poppin Perfections and let them know of their PayPal invoice mistake and in a country where "Superior Customer Service" is plus the Owner will assist me. Right? Wrong answer - I provided screenshots and attempted to have the Ms Peters assist me with a resolution to getting my PayPal account fixed and the invoice deleted by asking her to call PayPal and request it deleted without success. Instead I receive response emails from her stating she didn't send me the invoice and it was PayPal's fault. When speaking with a manager from PayPal - She stated there was 2 invoices sent in a 24 hour span and mine was first. So it was definitely a mistake of a typo- My frustration is own up to it and take 5 -15 mins and help me resolve the issue. Nope that didn't happen so now I give up and will have to LIVE with a pending but CANCELLED invoice that will remain pending on my Paypal account forever. When I open my app - I see PENDING then Poppin Perfections Ive never been a business owner but I sell alot of high end items on eBay and when my customers email me - I go out my way to make them happy- One for "Karma" and Two "Customer Service". I was not a customer of Poppin Perfections and never will be. Funny thing about "Karma" my son is getting married in 4 weeks and I am in charge of the sweets table. If this could have worked out as a simple mistake made right - I would have seen this as SIGN to become a Poppin Perfections customer and order 6x the amount of that forever pending PayPal invoice the owner refused to assist with.

I came for a night out with my girlfriends and ordered the Creamy Chipotle Pasta. It was incredibly filling and packed with flavor--you could really taste all the seasonings that went into it. Both of my friends ordered the Pan-Seared Chicken Breast, one with rice and the other with fries. They loved the cream sauce so much that they wished they had more! Of course, we also had plenty of drinks. We tried The Park, Island Time, and Drop It Like It's Hot. Every drink was strong, and the different flavor combinations worked so well together. Our waitress was wonderful and helped make the experience even better. We stayed until the dance floors opened and ended the night enjoying the music and amazing vibes. Such a wonderful night!

The game was on and the seat design faces the tv with rounded seats perfect for a date. The dinner menu was nice for my liking of options; the lamb chops were perfect and while the menu doesn't state clearly it comes with mashed potatoes & veggies which was perfect as I originally thought we had to order a la cart. He enjoyed the salmon meal. I loved that they offered tastes of their crab soup with a side of bread. It was my first time trying such a dish and it was delicious!!! I did find it interesting how every female waitress/hostess was the same shade of light-skin mixed with silky hair while the male hosts/servers/runners were of all looks. Lastly, if you'd like entertaining/worthy bottle service these ladies don't deliver. Lol it was the most pitiful sight to see--I feel bottle service should include high energy, body shaking rah rah enthusiasm. The bathroom was clean and smelled fresh which I appreciated. I'm not sure what was in the back & upstairs but they were loud upstairs for sure. When we left around 10pm there was a line wrapping the corner and they'd started removing tables inside. So, sounds like a cool place. Go, enjoy!

Old Anglers Inn - Old Angler's spectacular outdoor patio

The patio is lively with hikers and cyclists coming off the nearby Potomac trails, while the interior feels like a beautiful French provincial country home, complete with chintz, fabric-covered walls, and charming fabric lampshades. It is wonderfully romantic and unabashedly cottagecore. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is singular, and the entire experience feels like an escape from Washington without ever leaving the area. We need to return very soon.

We were looking for a quiet setting without too much disruption and nice ambience plus good food. Unfortunately this place missed on all attempts I really love the outdoor seating arrangements with the fire pits lights and parking space I think this is a great place to grab a drink and chit chat in the summer but aside from this I wouldn't be in a hurry to come back I ended up coming for dinner and it's very small on the inside with no more than 10 tables. We sat at a small table near the bar because that is one of the seats they had available. Their menu is not very expansive Here's what we ended up getting in an attempt to try a few different things The mushroom risotto was tasty The ribeye steak was horrible. I asked for it to be cooked medium and it was pretty bloody and rare. My friend doesn't mind it and I don't send back food so I couldn't eat it at all but honestly seeing something that bloody grossed me out totally. They also brought the ribeye which was full of fat and not a good cut of meat for the price they're asking for in both of our opinions with two starch dishes one which mashed potato and the other one was sweet potato and other root vegetables cut up. There was no option to ask for a different side. Dessert was lemon ricotta cake which honestly was kind of a bummer because it was sugary frosting that I could get at a Costco bakery The inside setting has a fireplace which is nice. One of the things that was a little bit different about our evening is the local patron who was there was a bit loaded and kept at our table we were trying to be polite about it but her husband didn't call her back and neither did the wait staff the wait staff did their best to get us distracted enough to move but the seat that they put us in was closer to the door and rather cold. I also got the impression that they were hoping to close up shop because the end dinner service at 9:00 p.m. and I had a seats in at around 7:45. I think the price is rather high given the quality of the food and not worthwhile. The only thing that I really did like about this place was the outdoor ambience so I might be inclined to come here with a group in the summer to sit by the fire pit chill out and hang and drink. Aside from that I'm not really loving the vibe of this place Plenty of parking in a private lot which is free. It's in a foresty part of Potomac if you like that kind of thing this will be a nice getaway not too far from the city.

We'd heard good things about Binge BAr, so to kick off her birthday weekend, we popped by for drinks before dinner. I'm unsure if it was the owner who greeted us--she said her name but I immediately forgot it--but she and the main bartender were friendly, super kind and an absolute delight to mingle with. The kitchen was unfortunately closed the night we went so we couldn't try any of the food, but all the more reason to come back! We both loved our cocktails--pictured below--their riff on an Old Fashioned and a gimlet and we also shared a flight of NA beers from Go Brewing (who've become a new fave in recent months). The vibe was great and the cocktails were super tasty, and I like that they had some cans and some wines to buy as well. We were the only ones in last night--it was early in the evening--so I hope they're doing alright buisness wise. We really enjoyed our time. The ambiance is super quaint. My only knock is that Binge Bar really needs branding on their door with their logo. Unless you know they're there or clock the sandwich board just off to the side out front, they're easy to miss. It's also a bit weird they don't have a phone number, but I suppose you can just message them on social media to check how busy they are. Or make a reservation on the website.
