Hands down the best charcuterie I've had out. I make my own often and I was super impressed with the selection and quality. Every thing on the board was delicious. We did a wine flight tasting. You can choose any four wines on the menu for $30. Our bartender asked what we liked and made some great recommendations. The space is lovely with lots to look at. They had live music the night we stopped in, which felt perfect for the space and crowd.

What a fun away to try different wines. They have glasses (half and full) and flights. I had an albiño and a barolo, my friends had different flights. The owner was knowledgable and friendly. I'll return the next time I'm in Savannah.

This was our first time here, and the atmosphere was incredible. It was incredibly warm, welcoming, and laid-back. The service was fantastic. They have a full bar and an excellent wine selection. I highly recommend this wine bar.

This establishment is esthetically pleasing. Went on a Friday night and was not disappointed. Great bartender and staff. Great wine selection. It's my new go to when I'm in Savannah.

A relaxing afternoon getaway from the crowds in the area. Good service. Fun to try different wines with a tasty & beautiful charcuterie board.

What a great spot for a glass of wine! What does that mean? Mey, the GM, brings wines you can't buy, from all over the world. I don't get all the "stuff" that is associated with that....but she does!!! Different regions and varietals that are NOT available at your local liquor store.

    Wine flight

This was our first stop during our Savannah trip and we will ALWAYS COME BACK! Ben U & Mey were absolutely amazing and offered a level of hospitality that is unmatched! I recommend getting a wine flight and allowing Ben to help curate your flight based on your preferences. Ben even went as far as to give us a personal list of recommendations for bars & restaurants. Can't recommend this place enough.

Strolling down Julian street (best street in the world because they named it after my son, obviously), my partner saw the wine tastings and immediately directed me that way, knowing I love wine lol. When we stepped inside, it was so much bigger than I expected. There were a bunch of daiquiri machines spinning, hundreds of wine bottles on display and happy people drinking. Heavenly. I made my way to the tasting counter and had the chance to do my tastings under the guidance of Noah. There were so many options to choose from, Noah was so helpful helping me find my choices and explaining the notes. He was one of the best parts of the experience, I was really impressed with his knowledge of the wine and his fantastic customer service. I decided to try the jalapeño wine, the Tybee island pearadise pine, velvet reserve, white Pinot noir, and the prohibition pomegranate. The pearadise pine and white pinot noir were both so light and lovely, perfect beach wines. The jalapeño wine was surprisingly fantastic. Noah said that many people were pleasantly surprised with it and I joined that number. It was sweet and smoky, not overwhelming at all. The prohibition pomegranate was my least favorite unfortunately. It was tooooo sweet but I'm one who prefers a dryer wine and Noah did give me a heads up that it was pretty sweet. I couldn't finish it. BUT. BUT. That Velvet Reserve? Babyyyy. My bff Noah said it was his favorite and a favorite of many, bold and high alcohol content. Let me tell you, he didn't lie one bit. It was so bold, rich in flavors, phew. I immediately asked him to grab a bottle for me. Such a great experience trying some local wines, so happy to head back to ATL with a new fave vino!

These are a must try if you like wings. Chicken and pancake tacos were delicious. Pancakes had a touch of sweetness. Fried chicken inside with a spicy mayo. Topped with a strawberry salsa that worked well. 3 of these were very filling. Fun and very good. Son had the double wide footlong. Topped with sloppy Joe. After that the 2 sides were different. One had fried banana peppers. The other side more classic with toppings. Son said it was really good. Others had the ahi tuna salad. Tuna was perfectly rare. Salad was good and the wasabi dressing had great flavor without being too spicy. Service was quick even though jam packed. Also very friendly.

The whole place is designed to feel like the inside of a trailer--spray-painted antique chandeliers, old pictures of different trailer parks, and random little details everywhere. It's kitschy, but very intentional, and honestly pretty cool. We came in late after a 4h drive into town after work, and the staff was still super friendly and accommodating. No "we're about to close" energy, which I appreciated. We started with the creamy collard dip, which is basically their take on spinach-artichoke dip, but with collards. Really good. I do think the chips were a little too heavy for the dip--a thinner chip would've been perfect--but that's a small note. The chicken pancake tacos were probably my favorite. The chicken was fried perfectly and still really moist. And at this point, I'm convinced Savannah just knows how to cook chicken. Everywhere we went, the chicken was consistently good. My partner got the grilled apple pie sandwich, which has fried chicken, grilled apples and bacon. He's not even a big pork person, but that bacon was so crispy and the whole combination just worked. Even the waffle fries were good--crispy, fresh and actually seasoned. We had the Grateful Dead and Wicked Kiwi cocktails, plus a couple of shots, and the drinks were strong, good and reasonably priced. Honestly, I don't have a ton of notes here. It's not trying to be some elevated dining experience. It's just a really good late-night spot with good food, strong drinks, friendly service and a fun atmosphere. We sat inside because Savannah in August was not about to have us sitting on anybody's patio. Definitely recommend, especially if you're looking for somewhere to eat late. It was a vibe, the food was good, and it did exactly what it needed to do.

For the tapas, we began with the Uni Toast. The uni was fresh and delicious, and the caviar was excellent. My only criticism is that it's a single piece of toast, so at $16 it felt a bit pricey, even though the quality was outstanding. The tomato salad was another highlight. The tomatoes were fresh and flavorful, and the aioli brought everything together beautifully without overpowering the dish. Our favorite savory dish was the braised cabbage. It arrived as essentially half a cabbage--about the size of a brain--which made it a little awkward to eat. That said, the flavors more than made up for the presentation. The gochujang barbecue sauce was rich and slightly sweet with just the right amount of heat, and the roasted oyster mushrooms complemented the cabbage perfectly. Overall, Sombramesa delivered a fantastic meal with creative, high-quality food and excellent service. While a couple of dishes leaned toward the expensive side for their portion size, the quality of the ingredients and the execution made for a memorable experience. We'd happily return!
