Loved the idea of wine/moonshine tasting. The employees were nice. Sometimes you're not sure if you'll like something so this was a great way to try before you buy. The tasting was $3 for 6 sips. The sips were small, but enough for you to decide if you like something. I usually can never find any sweet wines I like but here, I loved all the sweet fruit blend wines I tried. Unfortunately they don't do shipping so you need to find away yourself to bring these back home if you don't live in GA. There's also beers and moonshine slushes. read more

This was my second time in town and second trip to the tasting room. And I'm planning to stop by on every future trip. For $3 you really can't beat thus experience. Overall good service and good times but if you ask me $30 for a bottle of peach moonshine didn't seem worth it guess its for those who love moonshine! We initiated contact first which felt odd but also the gentleman behind the counter didnt give us a second to savor a flavor instead quickly pouring into the same 2oz cup. I would recommend pouring them all in mini cups so the customer can go back to try a flavor if need be. read more

We came back here TWICE during our visit because we loved it so much! The moonshine frozen drinks were so yummy and got us feeling good. We went back to do the wine tasting- what a deal! Staff was knowledgeable about the offerings and great with recommendations. Service was fast as well. The inside is small but part of a building with art shops and more. The wife and I finished an incredible dinner at Alligator Soul and on the walk back to our hotel we stopped into a bar to grab a drink and they had a wine tasting event... wine pushed me to say okay... the wines were decent and the vibe was upbeat and the other wine drinkers were very friend, as were the staff... My wife asked if I'd do another and this is how she found this place... Not bad looking (though in the middle of one of the very touristy spots, City Market)... The big sign over the wine bar/counter said (6) tastings for just 3 dollars... fair deal and "thought" it'd be fun. It wasn't that much fun because of a few things... - the two staff girls were blah (no interest / no excitement) - the wines were not that good - the place was a ghost town The only saving grace for me was the "frozen drinks" they had identified as "Wine Smoothies"... let's face it, they taste like pure sugar so of course these were delicious. I paid my 3 dollars for the samples but only drank half and gave my others to my wife and instead I enjoyed a PEACH SANGRIA (frozen southern peach blended with their frozen sangria)... A GREAT TIME! I'd asked a friend for some recommendations for Savannah. I didn't know what to expect, but knew the price was right! We did the $3 wine tasting. Uh... where else will you find a $3 tasting?! The guy who helped us was personable and attentive. The space was decent and lively. After our tasting, we went straight for what they call "wine smoothies". We were able to sample a couple of those to determine what we wanted. I went with the Peach Moonshine and Sangria swirl with an extra shot of Moonshine. I got the Large size and including my tasting I only spent $17 and some change. I checked on the YELP app for best winery in Savannah and The Georgia Tasting Room popped up with the statement "6 tastings for $3.00". I couldn't pass that up. It was a very cute bar with lots of drink options but went straight for the sweet wine tasting. Steven was my Sommelier and he was very knowledgeable in all the wines they had to offer and even taught me about wines from different parts of the world. His grandfather was French and taught him all about the red wines. I had a hard time choosing which wines to try. They all sounded wonderful. I loved every one of them and had to decide which two bottles to purchase. I decided on Prohibition Pomegranate and Downtown Apple Reisling. The alcohol percentage in both bottles is 12% and the cost is $24 each. I was pleasantly surprised that there is no charge for the wine tasting if you make a purchase. And did I mention that dogs are welcome inside! The Georgia Tasting room is a fun way to spend some time while in Savannah. We will definitely return! read more

Stumbled upon this diamond while touring Savannah for the umpteenth time. 6 pours for $3, can't go wrong! Even though the wines, for the most part we're from local vineyards there were some surprises...PLEASANTLY so. Ended up purchasing a bottle for a family member that spearheaded the family reunion. We walked in thinking we would just get a little glass of wine, but ended up very impressed with everything, a tasting of several wines, and a frozen wine slushy, all hosted by the lovely server/steward on shift at the time! It isn't that we had low expectations, it is that she blew past, above, and beyond the hopes and expectations we had! For a small fee, you get a tasting of 6 wines. My guy and I made sure to get different ones so we could try even more! It helps that we have similar palates when it comes to wine. But the selection was also surprisingly large! I have certainly had better wines, but I have also certainly had way worse wines. We liked several enough to leave with a few bottles in tow to bring home with us. We were allowed to sample a couple slushies before deciding what to go with. We both ended up with a mix/swirl of a couple and they were delightful. The service and direct attention given from the worker was really the shining star of our visit. I wish I could remember her name, but no matter. I was excited about going to The Georgia Tasting Room, but it was a disappointment on many levels. They are known for the tastings of beer, wine, and moonshine. Things to note: * You can only try beer, wine, or moonshine. When you choose your category, you can only purchase 6 tastings. I thought that was weird because the tastings were small. You have to wait an hour after the first tasting to do another tasting. * There is a vast selection of wine. All of us tried a different category e.g. sweet, semi-sweet, and dry. * The wines were not good. Whether the wine was sweet or dry, it was nasty. I will give them points for creativity. For example, they have a Key Lime wine. It was tart, sweet, and very much like a key lime pie. It was the most appetizing. * I shared with our server that I would come back after our dinner to try the moonshines. I asked her to tell me more about the moonshines. She shared that they werent moonshine in the traditional since; they are wine based. I thought that was odd; just call them sangrias. * I thought it was cool that they had frozen drinks. I went here and noticed that it was $3 for a tasting of six wines. That's why I decided to give this place a try. Most of the wines that were given out were on the fruity and sweeter side. There are white, red, and other types of wines. My kind of wines. The employees were very knowledgeable and friendly. The entire tasting took around 20 minutes. You can't beat a wine slushee on a hot day in Savannah! This was my group's first stop of the day and definitely hit the spot. I tried the mango colada, it was refreshing and just the right amount of sweet! We went in the afternoon and only waited in line for a few minutes. This place was on my "must-have" list for Savannah. I got here about 7 on a Thursday night and there was a line. There was only ONE person working trying to juggle the wine tastings and do the to go orders + run the register. poor girl! Due to the slight chaos with that, my friend and I just decided to skip the tasting and get moonshine slushees to go. I couldn't decide on what to get so I asked the cashier for recommendations. Even though she was juggling multiple duties AND the line was building, she still took her time to explain some of the options and what she recommended. She treated me as if I was the only customer, and that's rare..even when you ARE the only customer! And that's primarily where my rating comes from. I seem to be the minority opinion here. I think I had the wrong expectations. I thought the wine I tried was terrible, and the friends who tried the wine agreed. They offer a tasting at the counter space, but there are no tables inside. There are a couple outside on the pedestrian street, but you have to order if you want to go out for a seat. A couple friends got the slushees and these were a much better choice, though they were very sweet. I think your experience will be based on what you are looking for. If you like sweet slushies, great! If you are looking for good wine, may need to look elsewhere. read more

Located in the City Market area of Savannah that is closed off to car traffic, this place is the perfect spot to get your frozen drink on! They have tons of flavors and machines on both sides of the store, each side having the same flavors. They also offer non-alcoholic versions of the drinks, but you have to be 21+ to enter. She was super-nice and I sampled a few with her and decided on the Peach Sangria, which is you guessed it, half sangria, half peach. Me being the light weight drinker that I am chose a wine smoothie titled Tropical Hurricane... a super sweet frozen drink consisting of their Strawberry, Raspberry, Pina Colada & Mango iced wines. If you like sweet frozen drinks then YOU WILL LOVE THE TROPICAL HURRICANE. I personally found it to be tastier than any of the frozen drinks I've had @ nearby Wet Willies in the past. Covid-19 has caused this business to place responsible limits on customer capacities inside, so you may experience a short line to get in. They also offer non-alcoholic smoothies as well as meat & cheese trays. They are located next to A.T. HUN Art Gallery in City Market and across from Tree House Bar, a lively establishment where the music spills into the street like an old school block party! Stopped by as this was right in back of our hotel room. Great place to have a wine slushee. They are strong and great price all around. Stopped by the next day for some Prosecco and they serve it straight up. So they have other choices not just yummy slushees. Best part is the serving size and to go cup.
