One drink and done, but not in a bad way. We were pressed for time but had to swing through because of a previous positive experience. Bartender was friendly and attentive. Had the PB&J Old Fashioned. It was a touch on the too sweet side (like most PB&J cocktails), but had great flavor otherwise. Looking forward to going back when I have more time. read more

Small but mighty. This place is super narrow but we were able to get our drinks fairly quickly. They have a nice selection of drinks and everyone was pretty friendly. We did meet here for a ghost tour which was nice to visit here as our first stop. read more

The service is great. Very friendly and prompt with good conversation. Quaint little bar with a unique experience. We didn't have any coffee but we did have a couple exceptional cocktails before we left for dinner. Not your average bar stop for sure. Great cocktails for the price! The bartender was great - friendly and attentive. The inside is cozy, although got cramped a few times with the number of people, which didn't fit the vibe. Biggest complaint is the nightmare of a bathroom situation in the basement. Right out of a horror film. I highly recommend keeping the concrete stairwell lit if you have people walking down them. read more

My husband and I were waiting for our brunch reservation and decided to stop and have a few drinks while we wait. I love the bar and I highly recommend you stop by! They have bottomless mimosas for $10 and have an array of juices from mango, grapefruit, orange juice, cranberry and etc. My husband and I were served by Josh and Brooks! They were so awesome making us feel comfortable and recommended a ton of fun spots to check out while in Savannah, GA. read more

If you need a chill calm place to enjoy a coffee or even get a beer this is the place for you! The only time it might get busy is when the True Crime tour comes through...which is kinda cool because you get to hear a ghost story for free! (I did the true crime tour and it was amazing!). The bartender was very nice. I did order a Bloody Mary and it was store bought mix but it was still good. Great atmosphere! read more

Nice, small bar on River Street. Visited this place on a haunted pub crawl and it has some interesting haunted history. Their "Charlie Shot" is very tasty and I would recommend ordering one if you go. Charlie is outside the bar below a grate if you care to visit him. They dress him up for holidays. read more

Popped-in for some drinks and coffee while strolling around downtown Savannah on our first visit. Such a great, little bar. Can't remember our bartender's name (bald guy with glasses), but he was so nice. Gave us some great little tips and recommendations for our trip. Made some great cocktails. We stopped in here for a couple drinks. The bar is small but very cute and classy. We had: - Ruby Red (average--too grapefruity) - PB&J Old Fashioned (good--like a traditional old fashioned but with a peanut butter aftertaste) - Return to Nature (good) - Peaky Blinder (good--bourbon with blackberry twist) Heading to the restroom was a bit of a rough experience. It was downstairs and didn't feel very safe, and the stairwell to get there was unfinished. A little creepy! I like it! We only stopped here because we needed to use the bathroom. They only allow you if you are a customer, which seems to be the general consensus of the place. However, I love how unique the music is. ( I had secretly Shazam the music here o.o shhhhh) but being in Savannah is hard when you need to use the restroom lol. They had provided us a cup of water to go (and you can walk outside with your liquor if you want). But we had to get SOMETHING lol. I loved the Ginger Mule lol. My boyfriend got a bottomless mimosa (which the doesn't end until 4PM Mon - Sat I believe. They also have different flavors of mimosas too. Try it out! It's a chill spot and it is connected to a hotel (which you have to go to and then down the stairs to get to the bathroom O_o; was scary af). read more

Such a fun spot to grab well-made cocktails downtown! Tandem is located in the East Bay Inn, but there is a separate entrance to the bar right from Bay Street. The bartenders were fabulous, and our drinks were delicious! Tandem is small inside, but it has a large bar area and a few other tables. Drinks are around $10-$11, and they are strong! I had the Waving Girl, which was made with orange vodka. It was really yummy. They also offered me one of their house-infused shots for my birthday. I had the jalapeño infused vodka, and it was really good- not super spicy, but a great jalapeño flavor! Overall, I can see this becoming a regular stop for nice drinks downtown. They have a great happy hour, and the staff was so sweet. They also have fun little apps on their menu that I want to try. I'll be back soon! read more

This place is located inside a hotel and the seating is limited but it's definitely something Savannah needed- a cocktail bar! We came here thinking there were a lot of tapas options but most of the items can be considered snacks and not tapas. We tried the pita chips and avocado bruschetta- both were average. All the drinks we tried were great- my favorite was the Tandeem cup. The blackberry mojito, sangria and the Frenchie are great as well. The service was good- the bartenders are friendly and quick. Oooh. Fun cocktail spot. I paid tribute to Savannah's Florence Martus, the waving girl and ordered the drink named for her. It was delicious and reminded me of their take on a Vesper classic cocktail. The lemon bitters were a nice touch. Great service. They have a full bar including beers on tap. Classy bar with clean lines. Off to the side is an upscale sitting room. Very great for before dinner drink or a nightcap. We went to Tandem on our Ghost CIty Haunted Pub Crawl and the service was awesome!! The bartenders were very friendly and greeted us enthusiastically. They served us quickly and were very good at recommending drinks. We also got the Charlie shots which were great! I also had a blackberry Mojito which was very good. The place wasn't super busy, which is exactly what we wanted because we were a large group. I'd definitely recommend this place! read more

I love this bar. It's small, but cozy. The bartenders are super knowledgeable and pleasant. They don't serve meals, but have small plates to go with your perfectly mixed cocktails. I tried the Gold Standard, which is a Gin based cocktail. It was sweet, smooth and delicious. Also had the bruschetta, which had a sweet flavor. I visited this place on a Ghost tour of Savannah. It was a cozy cute bar. The bartender was fantastic! He kept suggesting different types of drinks because I didnt dee anything that stood out on the menu. TL;DR: Good drinks, great eats, Tandem sure is sweet! Long read version: I am a local, so always on the lookout for an addition to my "favorite things" list. The foods here are not heavy or filling (in a good way) so it's ideal if you're on your way to dinner, but have time to stop in somewhere before your reservation. Or, make dinner out of it and get a few plates and share... which is what we did. #HighlyRecommend The cocktails are SUPERB! Everything my friend and I tried we would definitely order again. It's also wonderful that local liquors and beers are utilized in the cocktail recipes. We must've gotten 2 cocktails each, and we always taste- test... it's all good here! read more

Stumbled upon this little cocktail bar browsing some new hot spots in downtown Savannah area. This bar is located inside of the East Bay Inn on Bay street. I had the owner of the bar Rafael as my bartender and he was very professional and knowledgeable on the different cocktails. First off I give this place 5 stars for the knowledgeable staff and love that they make there own bitters and mixes. I had the "Smoky Mirror" which was great. He adds a homemade smoked maple syrup and orange bitters to some rye bourbon topped with blueberries and blueberry syrup.. delicious!! My fiance had the BlackBerry Mojito which she enjoyed very much. We will definitely be going back to try more cocktails!! read more

Waited for 15 minutes at the bar when a group of young pretty girls showed up. Waited an additional 10 minutes, and after 25 minutes of me waiting, they turned to the group of 6 girls instead of the one person that had been waiting at the bar. They also were well aware we were with a tour who was specifically waiting on us for 15 minutes past when they were supposed to leave. I didn't say anything to them, didn't complain, understood how busy they were, and was completely ignored. It was really rude and really disappointing. Terrible rude staff, and terrible service. read more

A bold, slow sipper I would have done better to have later in the evening, but I still appreciate the complexity of it. I also had the Bella primavera, a lighter cocktail under the signature section. Made with pisco, blanc vermouth, French herbal liqueur, watermelon, and basil leaf. A smoother, brighter, faster sip than the Medusa. And I also had the blood orange martini, made with French vodka, blood orange, lime, and cranberry. A little sweet, but not cloying, and again, would have been a better starter as opposed to a closer. I think when I return, I will ask the bartender to make me off the menu drinks. Even the waffle fries were good--crispy, fresh and actually seasoned. We had the Grateful Dead and Wicked Kiwi cocktails, plus a couple of shots, and the drinks were strong, good and reasonably priced. Honestly, I don't have a ton of notes here. It's not trying to be some elevated dining experience. It's just a really good late-night spot with good food, strong drinks, friendly service and a fun atmosphere. We sat inside because Savannah in August was not about to have us sitting on anybody's patio. Definitely recommend, especially if you're looking for somewhere to eat late. My group of friends and I found this bar randomly while walking down the street. It looked so pretty, that we absolutely had to check it out. We were very impressed by the beautiful atmosphere and the friendly staff went over and above to make us feel welcome. We could have stayed all day to chat with the fun bartenders and owner, Rafael, who were all so funny and entertaining. I went here on the Taste Tour as a stop for the food tour and I loved every second of the stop. The place is nicely decorated and the staff is polite. This is my first visit to Savana walked into this clean, interesting bar with a perfect amount of customers but where I could still order a drink and get it in a timely manner. They have a one and only unique liquor called a cumquat liquer highly recommend. Perfect night out the bartenders ensure you feel like a local. read more

Shorty and Josh treated us wonderfully with incredible service, we never felt like we were inconveniencing them with requests if questions. We ordered a dozen oysters (James River), caviar & chicharrones, the hot dog special, a glass of J. Laurens Blanquette de Limoux and a Mignonette Martini. Wow! Everything was phenomenal! Caleb, the chef, really knows what he's doing and you can tell him and David, the bartender, collaborate on the menu. The oysters come with a perfectly balanced pink peppercorn mignonette which is also used in the martini (must try!!). I've never tried chicharrones and caviar before but will definitely be pairing them together again after this. The hot dog was by far the dark horse, we ordered it partly as a novelty as it is their special. Caleb designed it after a low country boil; pimento cheese slathered in the bottom of the buttered and toasted brioche bun, hot dog perfectly grilled and topped with shrimp, corn, red onions, peppers and steamed potato slices sandwiched between the dog and the bread. Caleb even took the time to come out of the kitchen to come over and say hello. Don't sleep on Joe & Vera's! Not a single complaint to be had.
