The game had just started when we arrived. It was a playoff game, so it was packed. We got tickets at the gate for $15 each for left field, the only option available. There isn't a great way to get around the stadium. We walked in front of everyone in the stands and happened to run into Rawhide, their mascot! After a quick selfie, we found ourselves in the grass/dirt to get to our seats. I regretted my flat sandals. We sat in the bleachers out in left field. We could see and hear everything. The game was low scoring but entertaining. The announcer had events between innings for the kids etc and plenty of fun songs and sound effects. Players were hitting foul balls into the stands and parking lot. No one got hurt but I bet some cars were dented. They had chosen the designated beer hitter - a player on the opposite team. When he was up to bat, if he struck out, beers were half off for the rest of the inning! It happened at least twice. Food looked pretty good. They had a local restaurant set up under an easy up, cooking. It was called Jacob's and they have a restaurant one mile south of the stadium (Jacob's Restaurant). We left after the kids raced the players through the field which was about the 7/8th inning. I think the stompers lost as they were trailing for awhile. Bathrooms were in an elevated trailer, clean, air conditioned, separate men/women. I can see why the locals enjoy the games. It was fun. I just wish they had a better sidewalk around the field. And Rawhide's costume needs a good cleaning. Poor guy smells like several summers. Overall great value and a good time.

No outside food or drinks are allowed so you're kinda stuck. I don't even know how to rate this place so let's keep the 4 stars going simply because I love baseball. It was a unique experience, a bit hokey for me, and not something we'll likely repeat.

The Valks are Everything and Ballhalla is a Vibe!…read more The most successful WNBA expansion team in history! This magical season has been Nothing But Net and so fantastically on point from the inception. From the selection of the first Black female GM in the W (Ohemaa Nayanin), to the selection of the first Asian American head coach (Natalie Nakase), The Golden State Valkyries (GSV), are showing up as the "upstarts that could", as they topple records and slay unexpected opponents in what is now considered the most amazing arena in The W, Ballhalla! There in Ballhalla the magic continues, as every home game has been played to sellout crowds of 18k+ roaring and adoring fans which are said to rival that of Dub Nation! Nakase has created a team that systematically picks apart opponents with what as now known as one of the top rated defenses in the league, and urges her very cohesive team, made up of primarily rookies and what were previous role players, to intuitively execute game plans with, at times, breathtaking precision. Now as the regular season moves toward its spectacular conclusion, GSV is poised to push further into history as the first expansion team to go to into the playoffs! When you go to Ballhalla, prepare yourself for the thrill of your basketball lifetime ... life is good in Ballhalla ... WELCOME TO THE W!

Finally, after many years of conjecture and yearning, the WNBA is in the Bay Area. Though the team…read moreoffices are based in old offices of their male counterparts in the NBA, the team plays its games at Chase Center in San Francisco. The ownership is the same too. What is different is that the general manager and head coach are both women. The team took their maiden voyage last week and was treated to rousing support by locals. The demographics are a bit different from NBA team but the enthusiasm reminds me of those Warrior fans from the mid to late 2000's who stuck with the home team through thick and thin... and there was a lot of thin, trust me. There were over 18,000 in attendance for the regular season home opener on a Tuesday night. Many of my seat neighbors are also Warrior season ticket holders from varying locations in the arena. It is great to see this fanbase rewarded with its own team, only the 2nd in California now (the Sacramento team folded several years ago). The WNBA with its roster of star power with Caitlyn Clark, Paige Bueckers fresh out of college, the stars from the Las Vegas Aces and New York Liberty, which include Sabrina Ionescu, an East Bay native has raised its popularity exponentially. Looking forward to seeing how they gel this season and it'll fun to see the local fanbase support them. The crowd is very similar to the We Believe fanbase in Oakland except the cheers are an octave higher. The ticket prices are prohibitively less expensive than Warrior tickets so you'll definitely see a more diverse audience at games. We were fortunate to experience the 1st win for this team that's making history with every achievement. Go catch a game and you'll know what the buzz is about... who knows, if you're a hoops fan like me, you might be hooked too.

The Prune Packers are part of the California Collegiate Baseball League, with teams all around the state. All players are enrolled in colleges and universities. The competition is at a very high level and the games are always competitive. The best example of the high quality of players is that a total of 9 Prune Packers that played in 2016 and 2017 have been drafted by major league teams!! Friday night was a typical game, had a Shoboyghan sausage from The Wurst who caters food for the games and watched the Prune Packers beat the Walnut Creek Crawdads 5-4. The nickname Prune Packers is from when the team was first organized in 1921, only groves of prunes existed. If you are looking for a fun night out with quality baseball, get to a game!

My friends and I went on a girls wine trip and they took me to their hidden gems!…read more We were greeted by our host Maddie, she is as cute as a button! Very knowledgeable and attentive to our wine tasting needs. We tried several wines from white to red. There is not one I didn't like! Matter of fact, I have never purchased a bottle of wine over $100 in my life, but here I did, because it was that good!!! Maddie did clue us in on a special case of Chardonnay, where normally a bottle is $90 and we split a case by three people and we paid $120 each for 4 bottles. I love a good deal! The grounds are beautiful and they have an amazing pond to look at while you taste scrumptious Wine! That's the best word, I could come up with to describe the taste. Chalk Hill is on my must return list when in the Napa Valley. I hope you will go and try it too!

Also kind of sucks that the sister wineries closed down across the street. It was great popping in from one to the others. Anyways, as alway an amazing time was had here. We had a reservation during Fourth of July which I thought would have been a little busier but it was quite nice. Not too crazy. Beautiful afternoon out for wine. There was a good amount of us but only four tasting which they were gracious enough to utilize a larger table to accommodate all of us. Very thoughtful of them even though we had a feeling that people were just going to walk around instead of staying in place...lol... Check in was a breeze. First off, the property is beautiful. A beautiful pond right out front and then the huge stairways up to the tasting room. Of course the showstopper view of the vineyards and property. Check in was right when you reached the top. It didn't take long till we got seated at the inside table. Sort of our own little private room. Started off with a nice crisp white. Even the little sample was great. I totally forgot the sweetie that took care of us but she was a major doll. Very sweet and friendly. Explained everything down to the tea which was amazing. Their tasting which started off with the cool crisp white to the bold red were tasty. Each with their own unique flavors. Whatever you prefer, white or the red, there's something for everyone. As we're a sister member down in Los Olivos, they accommodate us with four tasting included. A nice way to bring friends and enjoy what the valley has to offer. The whites were great and perfect for a nice hot day. Also a great cold drink but red is what we all enjoyed. Just with the pour, you can taste the bold richness flavors of the grapes. Amazing. The property is beautiful with the beautiful olive trees line driveway approaching the front. The cute lake right out front and once you reach the top of the tasting room, the million dollar view of the valley. Tasting room itself is beautiful which a good amount of the tasting can be done on the covered patio with umbrellas. The bar counter is nice as well but private rooms can also be accommodated. Wines were great and the service was a match. Fourth of July tasting was a success. Until next time.

And the crab sandwiches are great. We love their uniforms. They have special game nights. They often play super well and they are good sports. So, maybe they did not win the series this year--Who cares. They are a great team, in a great stadium home and they have sundaes--anything else.

Monday, May 25, 2026; 2:05 pm game against the D-backs at Oracle Park…read more We arrive via Bart to the Montgomery Street Station. This is the station right after the Embarcadero Station and a shorter walk to the ball field. It took us approximately 22 minutes to walk according to google. I didn't' time it, but that sounds correct. We didn't take the train to the front of the stadium. After a long ride on Bart we wanted to stretch our legs before sitting down again. It was a quick walk as we chatted with friends. We came all decked out in our Jerseys. I wore a Willie Mays jersey that fit perfect. Since it was to be a little chilly I wore a black thermal top under it and a Giants windbreaker over it. It was perfect. Our seats were in the sun so as the sun shown I shed my jacket and when the clouds came I put it back on. That happened the duration of the game. The walk was brutal to get to the top deck. We walked up ramp after ramp. Apparently we missed the escalator entrance. Next time we're going to have to find that entrance. We're going back the 10th of June, 2026 so we have a little time to figure it out. We also have time to figure out parking as we are taking my dad and don't want to have him deals with Bart and the long wall. There is also the ferry which we should have taken as it would have been a shorter walk. Sadly it's not running on JUne 20h so that is out of the question. Parking is going to be expensive, but worth it for the connivence for my dad. This is our Father's Day gift to him and he deserves the best. We were all the way at the top and I didn't realize that the burger I wanted was on the 3rd deck. We were committed to the top deck to so we had to forge for food. They had lots of sausages and popcorn, but I really wanted my burger. Half way down the deck I found an offer of burgers with 2 patties and a side of garlic fries for $22. That sounded outrageous as it wasn't even a name brand burger it was just normal ball park food. Oh, well if I wanted a burger this was the only place to go on our deck. My fries had a little amount of the garlic on top while our friends was piled high with garlic. He got the hotdog and garlic fries combo. He really lucked out. The fires were crispy like I enjoy them. Especially nice since I don't eat soggy fries and usually the garlic fries are soggy due to being piled high with garlic. The burger was actually really good and filling. After the burger I no longer had room for the Girardelli Sunday. I was so sad as I really wanted one. In addition the cart was at our level a quick walk from our seats. It's usually never that close. Next time I'm going to have to eat less. I'm not sure if that is possible as I only ate half the burger and shared the rest with my husband so I really didn't eat a lot. It must have been that double patty ti came with. It didn't advertise a double patty, but that's how it came. We also brought snacks in a ziplock as we totally forgot our clean baseball bag. We brought skinny pop that had no flavor, a total disappointment. Ranch Sunflower seeds. The boys loves those two treats. I also brought some dried mango that were delicious in my opinion, but I had no takers form the boys. The seats were high up, but we couldn't complain as they were only $10. What a deal. They had a one day sale and we snagged 4, but ended up with only 3 of us. Not a big loss since they were so cheap. We had a great view of foul balls and home runs. We really got to see those home run balls fly to the outfield. There were some really. Good plays, but we still lost. That was so sad. Overall we had a fun time and we look forward to going back June 10th for a mid week game sitting at club level seats. Not $10, but still a good deal. It will be more convenient for my day, better views and closer to the bathrooms and hopefully the lines will be shorter. I found the bathroom lines to be very long in the women's room. I was surprised because when we go to the AAA team the RiverCats the lines are nonexistent.
