After giving them a wish list, they quoted us a very high rate for the services we wanted. It was crazy how much they were going to charge us. I ended up simplifying our list to save on cost. Even so, it was still going to cost a pretty penny if we went with them. I searched here on Yelp for a reputable business to reach out to. After communicating with Jose, I provided him the exact services we wanted. He was very responsive, which I appreciated. He was able to give me a quote for way less. Based on some of the work he posted here on Yelp and on his website, I felt comfortable with the product and services that he was offering. Him and I worked entirely through email, but he was very professional and made sure to let me know the status of my inquiries. After taking this all into consideration, I decided to hire him for our event. We managed to get everything we needed at much more reasonable cost. It made a huge impact to know that he did his very best to meet our expectations. From the sound, to the perfect shade of up-lighting, to the great job collaborating with our team members and entertainers and his attention to detail. I highly recommend JVN for your sound and lighting needs. It was a pleasure to work with him. I wish I had photos of everything he did. He was very responsive. I appreciate his suggestion and honesty when I had questions about if a backdrop on the stage would work when the band of 16 people would come in later the night of. He checked in with me throughout the whole process and made sure I didn't forget to pick the lighting color. The day of our wedding he even arrived early and left late to adjust our change of time for contract. All of our guest were happy with the music play list and the look of how the uplighting gave the hall a different look. They were able to work within my budget and be flexible on sourcing items needed for the event. Me and my husband got the middle-tier package, which did not include budget and vendor payments (note: this package excludes reminders to pay vendors as well). Echo's approach to wedding planning is methodical and well-organized. For instance, she created a dedicated folder where she would post/remove deliverables incrementally as we went through the process. That way, we did not feel overwhelmed since she already broke down the steps into smaller, manageable pieces. Or, another great example is organizing our email communications by different work streams so that we could easily refer to conversations by topic, and not lose track of items when discussing multiple vendors at once. Echo was always quick to reply on every communication platform. We trusted Echo not only for her planning skills, but also for her local knowledge of vendors. We followed her recommendations under the assumption that she would put together an excellent team to execute our vision. On the day of the wedding, they all worked together like a well-oiled machine. They say that something always goes wrong on your actual wedding day, but ours was had little/no stress.
