Ok this is the last time we are giving this chain a chance. So this time we tried to order online ahead of showing up since they take so long. As we arrive, a guest was being refunded for an order that was taking so long. Bad start! Our ticket said our order would be ready by 5:29 and yet it's still not ready 10 mins. To add to the whole situation I requested BBQ sauce and was told I would be charged $1 for it never was I charged the last time we were here or the time before that. I suppose I had spoken to a manager who was at a table with his laptop. He was rude and in a very bad mood. No customer service skills. Maybe he should change career choices. Went there in a Thursday. Specials every weekday. Thursday it was $.50 wings & 1/2 off desserts. Wings took about 20 minutes although there were only 3 occupied tables. Didn't mind the wait since the wings were hot off the fryer when they came to our table. Had the Spicy Parmesan and the Lemon Pepper. Lemon pepper were better. This place gets an extra star for having good sweet potato fries. Totally worth going just for that. DO NOT have the fried Tweenkies unless you are prepared to have your arteries unclogged immediately following your meal. I could've cooked another meal with the grease that came out of just one Tweenkie. And the flavor is nothing to write home about. The decor clearly screams out Dallas Cowboys Fan. Some interesting tasteful old farm tools up on the wall. Very country-ish & fitting. Enough TV's. Wing Barn has been a place that I have been visiting since high school. I loved this place, but it saddens me to see its decline over the years. Each time I would come down from college, the steady decline was evident. Today was my last straw with Wing Barn. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich, it comes, and the chicken patty doesn't even for the bun from how small it is. We tell the waitress and the manager comes and tells us "Sorry that's the way all the chicken patties come, I could bring you another one but it's the same size." If that's the case, don't have it on the menu, he could have given me a second patty to add just to fill the bun. I am extremely disappointed and hope that this new management fixes what once was the best restaurant in the valley. read more

Wing Barn is a Valley classic! These wings are YUMMY!!!! Wings are big, fries are always great. Onion rings are HUGE. At the moment, until the end of 2022 they have buy 1 get 1! They have a variety of flavors. Tongue Twisters are definitely my favorite. Which consists of buffalo sauce and topped with garlic parm. 10/10. There are locations around the whole valley. Wow. In my defense the first item on the Marquee sign does say burger. I ordered 1/2 build a burger. $9.49 plus tax includes fries. Order takes forever. Giving me a chance to look around, this place is dirty. Finally a burger is sat in front of me and it's quite possibly the saddest thing I ever saw. The burger is a frozen precooked Patty that was waiting on someone to order it. The lettuce on it even worse. I requested no tomato but there it sat. I should have went across the street to Burger King. Fries came with the burger and I'm sure when they came out of the fryer earlier they were delicious. Let the pictures speak for themselves. My husband and I were at your location on Boca Chica Brownsville. Waited one hour for food to arrive at the table. Unacceptable? All while the entire crew was chit chatting at a table closest to the register. No one checking on orders or providing customer service. Tried numerous times to catch their attention so they could check on our order. Finally just went over to the group of crew members eating and chatting to ask about our order. One young girl with an earring on her nose and dark shadowed eyes responded "We are not responsible for what the cook cooks or puts out, we are only responsible for delivering the orders to the tables that the cook places on the window". Asked if they could check on our order. Another 15-20 minutes pass and no one gives us an update so I had to go approach the group again. A young girl responded We don't know what happened to your order. We can refund your money but only for the items you're pending so we can't reimburse you for your drinks and appetizer you did get.. As they are reimbursing our money back at the register, another member brings us a to go box and says here's your order. What's in the box? A cold burger with five incorrect flavored wings and cold soggy fries. Seriously? Acceptable?? Note: the place was empty except for 2-3 tables during our visit.. No excuses! Clearly unacceptable! Newly opened May 2010. Come on Yelpers, let's get some reviews. I stopped by at 10:50am on Sunday and they let me in early to watch some of the World Cup game. Staff friendly and accommodating. There is free WiFi, you have to ask for the encryption password. It has an indoor / ice house feel for a strip mall place. Picnic tables and folding chairs. There is no bar to sit at. 6 TV's in the square seating area, covering 3 of the 4 walls. I'm just having Iced Tea - can't say anything about the food. We ordered fried Oreos with ice cream TO GO but when we got our order the ice cream was so melted it could've passed as a milkshake and i it wasn't put to go. Definitely plenty of space for your car, truck, etc. etc. The decor was very fitting and there is plenty of sitting for large groups.
