We loved our experience here! The food is always amazing and the decor is always nostalgic. The service was extremely friendly and quick, even on what seemed to be the busiest night of the year. I had a giant porterhouse, my girl had the filet and a friend had the ribeye. All steaks were perfectly cooked and the sides were delicious. Came in with my whole family..we don't come here very often mainly because this location (the i ly location in this town is believe) gets crazy busy fast. Such a disappointment! I have been a Texas Roadhouse customer for many years, albeit a different location and had never encountered this lapse is service. First we ordered alcoholic drinks, waited 15 minutes never came. Then when the food arrived, everything was overcooked! Over done even the baked potatoes were inedible. The waiter never came to check on us once even for refills or to ask about the food. Called another waiter and asked for the manager. The poor waiter spent a good 10 minutes looking and came to say couldn't find the manager. We paid and left. I was under the impression the managers At least took some training in customer service if not the staff. This location proved me wrong. No wonder this place was not crowded as other locations. Haven't been to this location in a while and it was so great ! The New York Strip was so Juicy , Literally melted in your mouth ! I visited Texas Roadhouse on August 4, 2025, around 9:30 PM, and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. I was served spoiled/rotten food (salmon), which had an obvious bad smell and taste. It was clear that something wasn't right. I brought it to the manager's attention, but the response was not what I expected from a well- known restaurant chain. I left feeling disappointed and concerned about the my health, and food safety practices in place, especially so close to closing time. I'm writing this review not out of anger, but to raise awareness. I hope management takes this seriously, reviews food handling procedures, and ensures this doesn't happen to another guest. I have been to many Texas Roadhouses across the country and this one was the best by far. The food was very tasty and was served hot and fresh. Our server's name was Josh. He was very attentive, very knowledgeable about the menu and was quick to make sure we were satisfied with our selections. The restaurant manager even stopped by to ensure we were receiving quality service. Even though the restaurant was very busy, It was very clean and the ambiance was very pleasant and friendly. All i gotta say is the homies at Texas Roadhouse came through tonight. From the food to the drinks, the manager Jenn especially. I went to order my uber ride home when all of a sudden my phone dies. So being the nice person that she is. She allowed me to use her phone to call up the wife to order me an uber. But low and behold she had a charger for my phone. Which was awesome of her to allow me to use it. But i have to state that she is freaking beautiful and i bet you shes a smart strong woman as well. I don't know why I never tried Texas Roadhouse. I think because I make great steaks at home, I just never had any motivation to come here. But since I am in town for work and ate so much tacos, I had to try a different restaurant. I am glad I did because it was so good. I ordered ribs, salad, green beans, and sweet potato. I added brown butter and marshmallows on my sweet potato. It was cooked to perfection. I loved everything I ordered and honestly ate too much. They also give you complimentary rolls with cinnamon butter. The bread is so soft and warm. I made my food to go because I am here alone. Everything was packed beautifully. I was able to watch a show in my hotel room and enjoy this delicious meal. I loved it! Can't wait to go back. read more

As I have been enjoying for many years throughout abundant locations in Texas was to say the least inadequate. They were really nice. Ordered a beer and perused the menu. Chose the 14oz ribeye steak (medium) with Caesar salad and loaded mashed potatoes. The food was damn good. What really impressed me; and made me drop a review was the manager brought me my food - and stopped by to check on me twice! He could have been in his office or on smoke break; but he was working the floor. By the good attitudes of the staff here, he must be doing a great job. Kudos to this restaurant. My family and I would visit this establishment at least weekly. We have found that in the last few visits, the service has been awful. We have also notice some of the non-main items have diminished in quality. In my last two visits, I have had to get up and get my own bread. I also got up to get a coke refill however, I was not allowed to do so. On one of our orders (kid meal) we were charge for the drink when it was included. We asked for an adjustment of "bill" and we had the manager (Ram) tell us the child was served a regular drink instead of a child drink thus the charge. Is it my responsibility to know or tell the waiter she served the wrong size? I understand a Longhorn is coming to town. Perhaps Texas Roadhouse needs to better the service or be prepared to loose customers. read more

Really good steaks and good prices. Cheaper than going through all the trouble of going to the store and buy steaks. The steaks were very tender and just right. This Brownsville location is way too packed 24/7 to enjoy. They got u parking off-road because all spaces are taken. They got u waiting an hour minimum. Then.. the food isn't great. A steakhouse shouldn't be getting it wrong when it comes to overcooking or undercooking steaks. The sides & salads are ratty compared to competitor restaurants like Cheddars or Liam's across the expressway. I don't know why Brownsville cannot have more than 1 of every restaurant. I guess the people there love crowding up together?? Maybe try the Harlingen location.... Not as packed but food also not great either. I will never return. read more

My family and I went here for Easter Sunday Lunch. Due to my dietary restrictions (I had the gastric sleeve surgery a few years ago) I can't consume much--I even carry around a medical card I can show to staff to gain permission to order off the kids' menu. I ordered the Armadillo Bites off the kids' menu and unfortunately, due to their small size, couldn't be cooked medium rare. They still tasted okay, but they were tough, chewy little nuggets. My brother in law's steak, however, was a perfectly cooked medium rare steak that melted in your mouth. I'm glad I was offered a piece. The staff was very friendly and greeted us warmly when we arrived and left, and our waitress was very attentive towards our needs.
