When to here here today but we were not very hungry so we had two soups. The lobster and shrimp and lobster bisque and loaded potatoes, a Caesar salad and Brussels sprout. Everything tasted good but the icing on cake was our Server Marlen. I consider her one of the best servers we have encountered in the RGV. She was ready with a drink before we even ran out. Served us extra bread without asking just overall great customer service. Most would not even bother because our check was not very high . This is our second time here (the first time was so long ago I don't remember it) first off our server a young lady named Rebecca was awesome!!! She was so sweet and on top of it all and that with being giving a 12 top next to us. It was so busy (Sunday should have known better) but the food was so good . The food was delicious. The service was a bit slow, but if you're coming to have a long dinner with family and talk it's not too bad. The place has medium level noise, there's music playing in the background and people talking. The space is not very big. The porterhouse steak medium rare, was very tender and juicy. So we went to the local Longhorn Steak House here in Brownsville. Went for lunch vs dinner, no wait (on line wait list so double check) My experience not so hot, first plenty of tables and booths open, but hostess tries to get us to sit at the bar high top tables (nope), then start to sit us at the worst table in the place by the door to the dining area by the kitchen. Nope, she thought twice quickly. Wait staff friendly, but slow, bread came after appetizer was served and about gone. The basic meal was fine everything al a carte, skip the shrimp dish no flavor, a grilled shrimp served over bland rice with drawn butter. The waitress check on Debra's meal (she had steak of course) , asked if she need steak sauce etc, after she had been served and eating (over half done). Even with the place not busy everything took way longer Debra ordered dessert to go, after 15 minutes it show up and we still had to ask for the bill. I normally give a lot of lead way to restruants, but from my choice seat, I could see the order board in the kitchen it was blank most of the time, with the staff all hanging out and chatting. They are friendly, the food was fair., would I go back, not likely. read more

The food was hot and good, Juan our waiter was awesome, Irene and Steve prepared our table and many others with speed and grace. Jose the manager was well spoken and kind, my wife and I will definitely return. I saw the reviews were only something like 3.7 if I recall correctly, but I decided to try anyway. I ordered the 20 oz ribeye, it was amazing, the way a steak is supposed to taste. Our server was fantastic, got us everything we wanted or needed, very polite, friendly, and professional. The restaurant was clean with a nice atmosphere. I highly reccomend it. read more

Went yesterday, was seated fairly quickly which was nice . That was where the positive ended ...the waitress took fifteen minutes to finally show up . Mind you it wasn't even busy at that point . She gets my drink order wrong(took 15 minutes to bring me the right drink ), when I finally get my dinner (30 minutes later) one of my sides is missing and the whole plate is cold . We sat in our booth for 20 minutes and not one server acknowledged us. They kept walking past us and looking at our table but not one server came up to us. They did not even take our drink order or anything. Just sat us down with the menu and ignored us for over 20 minutes. We just got up and walked out because it was just ridiculous. it took them one hour to get our food. It wasn't even full. They ran out of New York strip! how can a steak house run out of stakes? If you go tell the waitress what time is it and ask her how long is it going to take to get your food. read more

Absolutely horrendous experience. First issue being that our party could not be seated together. Instead of offering a solution they split our party into two groups and called it a day. Not to mention that our waiter was extremely overworked and was visibly distressed from the tables they had to service. Upon ordering we waited over an hour for our food. All of the tables beside us that had been seated AFTER we ordered had eaten and left. Our food was nowhere to be found. When asked about the status of our food they mentioned that the kitchen was "backed up," which was obviously not the case as the tables around us got their meals in a timely fashion. It was supposed to be a celebratory event but was ruined by this awful restaurant. And when I finally received my food, which I ordered to go at this point, was wrong. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Just stick to Texas Roadhouse across the highway. They are much better at meeting basic dining needs. read more
