Good Chinese food that's cooked as you order. Big servings at affordable prices. Definitely value for money.

I don't know if I have ever eaten so much food for so little money!…read more I'm told Mr Zhou was the previous owner of New Flavour and plenty of dishes are the similar to what you'll find there but what surprised me is that, contrary to the name, Mr Zhou does a whole heap more than dumplings. Don't worry there's still plenty of those doughy delights but there's also hand-pulled noodles, savoury pancakes and this refreshingly zingy salad of cucumber and tofu that fans of New fFavour will know well. Seriously, how does this man find the time.... The interior isn't much to write home about with only a couple of cheap tables and chairs but the food comes out fresh and fast and of course, there's takeaway. You can even purchase the dumplings frozen for $2 less than the menu price to cook at home. I know what I'll be serving at my next dinner party....

It's not in a trendy area, it…read moredoesn't have much ambience, the service ain't much to write home about BUT the food is finger-lickin' good. The ambience is definitely "takeaway vibe". There are only about 3-4 small tables, and the food is served in plastic takeaway containers. On the night we visited they were doing a roaring takeaway trade. The owners used to run New Flavour, so they know their way around homemade dumplings, hand-pulled noodles & tasty Chinese food. The menu is very similar to New Flavour, so dumplings are a must - choose from such flavours, and my personal favourites, of Pork, prawn & chives, Mutton & onion and Egg, chives & prawn. You can order them steamed or fried, or even frozen to take them away & cook at home! Other dish recommendations are: Sliced dried tofu & cucumber salad if you can handle a tangy hit of chilli in the dressing, the Fried pancakes, any of the noodle dishes and the Deep-fried eggplant with pork mince stuffing. In fact, give me time & I'd probably list the entire menu! Would love to hear some other tried & true favourites though. Cheap, cheerful Chinese - you can't go wrong!

If you enjoy bad service, this might be the place for you…read more There was literally no one else there when we went for lunch on a Saturday at 12:30pm and yet we were still lucky enough to get horrible service! The server didn't even give us one smile. She asked us what drinks we would like and I asked for water for all of us. She came back to the table with the water (in the jug/bottle). But didn't give us any glasses? Um what the heck? Do you uh.. want us to drink straight from the glass bottle? I decided to give her the benefit of the doubt and expected her to come back later with glasses. She didn't. So when she started bringing our food out, I kindly asked if we could get glasses. What did she bring back? One glass. ONE GLASS. Uh... okay? Do you want the three of us to share this one glass? Quite silly really. I ended up going up to the counter myself and asked for two extra glasses, which she proceeded to give me with no smile. If anything she kind of gave me a look of disgust. Food was okay. Quite pricey - but the portions were large so that's the only thing I could give them ups on. Don't think we'll be coming back.

This place always get the thumbs up from us. No matter how long we leave it between visits over…read morethe past years the service, quality of food , price remains the same. You a pretty good size dish for what you pay....big enough that it is definitely takeaway material later on. ( Does well for lunch the next day!!) The staff are always friendly and pretty quick to respond to any requests . And as one previous reviewer stated they have more large group size tables here than small ones, and it is BYO as well. Parking is outside though on a busy time it can fill up pretty quickly, but there is plenty of street parking nearby. Has been one of our favourites out west way for quite a few years now and will continue to be so.
