Very unprofessional. They are short of staffs. You submitted application and they text you back without even tell you their name. Asked for several times and they just ignored it. Just want to know what you looking and so on. I rather bring my years of Nurse Managing experience else where. I am a great nurse with load of experience under my belt. I am looking for a good place to work that close to home but it seems kind of hard with this kind of unprofessional attitude. read more

The one star is for the few nurses who have been understanding and helpful. I'm not sure if this place is understaffed because of the way they treat their nurses? If they are underpaid? High turnover rate because of how demanding it is? But the overall attitude and attentiveness of most of the people I have dealt with have a chip on their shoulder and a forced fake smile. I would NOT suggest this facility to anyone. Awful. read more

I have worked for Wingate HealthCare For 5 plus years now,and I love it,my coworkers are friendly caring and always making the shift go a little easier.The floor I work on is busy and it doesn't stop which is great and the patient to staff ratio is very decent.If I had a sick family member or friend,I'd recommend it here. read more

The nurses and therapists are wonderful. You really must be vigilant with the care you receive. Good communication is essential. Ask questions and don't be shy to ask for what you need. Dining services are dreadful so you may want to have family bring in food from home. They rarely get a food order correct. I spoke to dining services many times, but it's just not a priority for them. Get a private room if you can. read more

I can't say enough good things about the care my wife received in her final days at Wingate at Silverlake. The nurses were far better than the nurses my wife had at south shore hospital. They actually really seemed to care, and they took pride in their work. I would give the nurses 5 stars, but the only reason this review got 4 stars is because of the women administrator in charge. My wife got a bed through hospice and she was only given days to live from cancer. When this women met with us she told us this was a short term facility and she could only stay 14 days. We immediately started to worry that this women was going to put my wife who needed 24x7 care out on the street if she did not pass in the required amount of time. I found out from a social worker that my wife was guaranteed a bed until they could find her a bed in another facility. My wife did not make it a week, but the care she received from those nurses will not be forgotten. They were great...... Thank You ! read more

This review is for the assisted living facility not the skilled nursing facility so there is no confusion. I had a family member here and although the cnas work very hard and seem to try their best, they are constantly understaffed and I have noticed that it isn't the same as when my grandmother first moved in. Do not let looks deceive you or should i say the Inn's management staff. They will say anything and tell you they can do anything to get your loved one to move in. Without mentioning any names the women in charge of this facility definitely cares more about appearances than the actual care of the residents. They mislead you to tell you that there is a nurse on duty 24 hours a day, nothing could be further from the truth,we found out a few months later. The few actual nurses that work there consist of the Resident Care Director who you are lucky is there until 5pm and another RN and a couple of part time LPN's but for the amount of residents in this facility they only usually have one RN and a LPN on for about 140 residents including a bldg next door. The only reason that we kept our loved one there was we didn't want to move her at the end of her life, which be aware they will push you to keep them there even if it's not in their best interest to keep the monthly rent coming in and suggest you put your loved one on hospice services even if it's not the end of their life. Most of the residents that reside there should be in skilled nursing facilities where they will get the medical care they deserve. The cna's are the ones that are in the bldg and actually run the place when all of mgmt leaves after 5pm. I feel so bad for these girls who are left sometimes 1 cna to 40 residents to care for and administer medication to. They call it medication assist or reminder's but alot are memory impaired and that's why they are there to begin with. These cna's are not assisting the residents they are administering the medication with no nursing license and in the case of hospice we found out they were administering morphine! There are two memory impaired units which are run by one young women who we found to be very snitty to both family and staff, like she didn't want to be bothered. This is the unit our grandmother was on. We wanted to move her to a skilled care center and at that point not the one on their campus but it was the end of her life and we didn't think change was good at that point. I have already gotten into too much detail here but please do your homework when you are placing your loved one in a facility, ask them for references from family's that have had a loved one there previously and ask,ask ask plenty of questions, write them down before you go and if the Director hesitates on any of the answers you know the answer is she is probably telling you what you want to hear especially if you have long term care insurance. My grandmother did and you know what they say about hindsight! Very bad experience and felt from upper management that you were bothering them if you wanted to discuss any issue's that you may have. It seemed to me that with the upper management that they were always on vacation or too busy to talk to you. It took me a long while after loosing my grandmother to write this review but I would stay clear of this place. The food was barely cooked at times and menu was very repetitive. The staff they had when we first placed Nana there was excellent but slowly they seemed to leave. These girls were run ragged and looked it also while the young women that ran the memory impaired units and nurses upstairs never seemed to pitch in and help them. Stay clear of this place there are plenty other we have heard in the area that are much nicer and much better staffed. This place is a complete and utter joke and the Executive Director if she is still there is totally useless and we found to be cold and uncaring. read more
