It was a wonderful experience. I had PT and OT every day beginning 11/16. My call bell was almost always answered immediately. The night staff did not smile or talk much but they always helped me in the way I needed or asked for. I had never been hospitalized before other than maternity. Scar tissue starts forming immediately after surgery so PT and OT are vital Immediately, not a week down the road when the VNA can schedule home visits. I was considered a hifi functioning patient so could have returned home. I'm so glad I opted for North Hill Rehab. There is no way my needs could be met at home in such a timely fashion.

The entire time she was there it was a hassle getting through to anyone. We were very patient and kind because we understood times were stressful for the staff my grandmother passed away due to negligence (they allowed a cut in her mouth to get infected and never provided proper care for her). On the death certificate they put that the cause of death was covid.....she had been negative for about 3 weeks prior to passing away. Please please do further research before allowing your elderly loved ones who can't speak up for themselves to come here.

Basically she came out worse off than when she went in. Very poor quality of care there indeed. Extreme lack of transparency. They should be ashamed of themselves. He developed an infection and there were no medical providers available. Despite this fatigue and shortness of breath from the infection, he was brought to PT. As his performance was not great given the infection, the PT pushed him and appeared annoyed that my father couldn't do what they wanted. The nurses are incompetent and the aids spend most of tgere time on there phones. Call lights are rarely responded to. Speaking with the higher level administrators was eye opening. No one is competent there. I am a medical professional and know what adequate care is. This facility was reported to the authorities.

The health aids were rough with my mom when she needed help getting to the bathroom or if she needed to be cleaned off from incontinence. She waited several hours to be cleaned off sitting in a soiled adult pad or after she threw up. There were feces in the shared bathroom floor for several hours. The aids would leave her food or water completely out of her reach. When I became concerned for my mom's life the nurses were dismissive. One insisted her vitals were fine and the other said if I was unhappy with the care she was receiving I should take my mom somewhere else. When I finally got through to the nurse because I thought my mom was dehydrated, it took the nurse 2 hours to get an ambulance. The nurse delayed the process by calling the doctor on call first and threatened that if I called the ambulance that I would lose my mom's room. About 2 hours after my mom arrived at the hospital she stopped breathing. She had an infection (sepsis). The doctors tried to save her and unfortunately, the next morning she passed away. Upon reading the notes from the hospital the doctor and nurses recorded that my mom was severely dehydrated and malnourished. I have since learned that these sorts of facilities have a disincentive to send a patient to the hospital because it lowers their ratings.

I had one case for 8 years and another for 17. I loved my patients, my job and the amazing support I received from both the clinical and office staff. I was absolutely shocked! By the way I was treated recently! The office was a very hostile environment! You could have cut the tension with a knife! None of the staff were warm, inviting or friendly! I fealt SO uncomfortable I actually wanted to walk out the door as soon as I walked in! I should have gone with my gut! I would NOT recommend this company to anyone! If I could give them 0 stars I would! I applied to another well known agency. Was hired immediately. Arrived for my interview. I was greeted by friendly! Professional! Nice! Normal!!!! Staff! The facility is quiet and quite clean and pleasant. Luckily, Stinky got a room to himself even though it was a room for two patients. Wicked lucky! The nursing care was quite good and attentive for the most part. The nurse that worked during the day was very good, and am sorry, forgot her name. The nurses that worked during the evening shifts were awesome. RN,s Ed and Martin could not have been nicer and more attentive to the cranky old dude. The only slight downside was that a few of the aides were not all that great and a bit difficult, but most were ok. They did seem to work hard though. Stinky knows it is not the easiest job. They PT staff were very nice and were very good with their skills. The food was actually quite decent though and they seemed to want to please. That being said, Stinky would not want to spend another two weeks here if he didn't have to, but if he did have to he would put this at the top of the list of placement preferences.

The CNA's have an attitude and are quite lazy in carrying out their responsibilities. The CNA's are lacking professionalism and care towards the elderly residents. The food has no taste and the portion sizes have steadily decreased. In addition the food is served cold there is nothing worse than cold bland food. Unfortunately at this time I couldn't recommend Wingate to anyone at this time.
