I watched a Youtube video on how to do it myself, ordered the part I needed online at a discount, and then realized I had no idea what I was doing. After watching the video again, it was definitely something I could do, but could possibly take all day or more. Someone with experience could probably be done in less than an hour. I weighed my options and called around to some places for quotes. Some of them wouldn't even do the job unless they provide the parts... I know that scam. Others were offering reasonable quotes for the job, but then would mention a service fee, travel fee, or some other variable that could make it $30-$70 more. I had left a voice mail for Atlantic and when I got a call back, they already had a quote ready of $95. I thought for sure she was about to hit me with a menagerie of additional fee's like everyone else, but that was it... $95 flat. They had an appointment a couple days later so I booked it right away. The repair guy arrived on time and went straight to work. He did a great job and worked very quickly. I ended up having to switch out a power cord on the dryer and hook everything up. I should have asked for a price on that because he rounded it up to $150 total for the whole job, but other places were quoting more than that for the original repair alone. At the end of the day, I still saved over $100 from buying my own parts and using Atlantic Home Services for the labor.

Advised I need a new washer. I offered the part back & they returned the cost of it. Unbelievable. They are a fantastic service. I cannot praise them enough. According to them, everything else was fine. 6 weeks later during an unseasonably hot day in January the tech came out and said we had a hole in our coil, without ever going into the attic and he was in the phone talking the whole time. 10 minutes (and $70) later, he informed us that we needed an entirely new system in our 10 year old house. We have since had several companies come out to quote us a new HVAC system, and all of them said the duct work was fine When we decided to go with another company, they told us that only a manager could cancel maintenance plans and he would have to call me back. Signed a contract through Costco to have them install a generator…read more They had me call the Berkeley Electric coop to schedule a disconnect during the time it would take to do the install with the warning that in the event Berkeley Electric crews did not show up to disconnect I would be assessed a 250.00 fine. This was disclosed after signing the contract and it is not in the contract. Paid Costco's share (50%) six months ago. Way back in October 2021 the delivery was scheduled for a Tuesday in early February from 8 to 10am and that day after a couple of phone calls and emails the appointment had to be cancelled because it was 1:50 and they hadn't showed up and I had other commitments. Ok for them to not show up, not ok for me if the Electric Company does not show up. They wanted me to sign a release of liability in case their installers caused damage to the irrigation system as well as sheetrock damage to which I refused to. Not in the contract either. Nerve wracking experience, on the day of the install they showed up on time but it wasn't a smooth transaction mainly because of the County inspector. I am happy with the generator but for the few details that are out of the ordinary I can't give 5 stars. Had I not been on the phone for almost 2 hours trying to get the County issue a release so the Utility Company would reconnect it would have been a cold night for all of us at home. Took one star for all of the above. Very nice and friendly people and I would use them again and I would recommend them as well and they did all they could but it really came down to me calling a County Inspector that I knew from before and he took care of the reconnect right before 5PM otherwise I would have been left in the dark after the 10PM noise ordinance and temps did drop to 32 that night. Took another star because it took them 2 weeks to the day to send me a couple of documents via email on Feb 21 so I would get the Costco rebate, 2 weeks in addition to the 6 weeks it takes Costco to send the rebate, that should have been done the day I went with their share in the form of a check after the generator was installed. They charge 2% if I pay with credit card. In conclusion the electrical part is ok but management is lacking customer support or just plain neglect after they get their money. BTW they are also asking me to pay (again?) their share two weeks after they deposited the check. Get your ducks in a row please.

So I called Charleston Electric and they said it would be better to have them handle everything. They were fantastic to deal with. They provided a placement diagram that we sent to our HOA for approval. They installed the generator nicely situated near the gas line. Then they put the transfer switch INSIDE the garage, not bolted to the outside like Pulte would have done. The whole installation was very neat and they came when they said they would. Initially when I asked about choosing between 18KW and 22KW they were quick to say the 18KW would be fine. I'd recommend Charleston Electric, and if you're building a new home in a development like ours, have them handle the whole project. You'll be glad you did.

I had to pick my son up from school right in the middle of the appointment window, and of course he called and was 15 minutes out and I was 20-25 minutes deep in a carpool line...no problem I'll see you then. Less than an hour later the culprit was found, one of the kid's socks had found it's way into the impeller. Tested a cycle and everything works great.
