Awesome store. It's a small place, but wow do they pack a lot of great products (new and used) in there. And DARKROOM supplies!!! You can stock a whole darkroom from tanks to enlargers and safelights and trays in one visit here. If you are a film shooter like me and you're sick of getting the cold shoulder and blank looks from other retail stores, then go here. They're friendly and know a lot that they are willing to share. If you live in Atlanta please go here for your film, cameras, supplies, and service, not some faceless online retailers. I didn't need a ton of stuff (only $40 worth) but the guy at the counter threw in a quick clean for my summitar lens for free within a couple of min of walking in. Knowledge severely lacking, they really don't know much at all, so stand there silent knowing they are completely wrong as they try to persuade you that they are correct. Customer service lacking, Rude, all out bad. People may like going here but they don't know any better. Shop B&H or online better prices better gear amazing Costumer service for the most part. There are better establishments to clean and fix your gear as well, I wouldn't trust them with a stick let alone my camera or lens. Don't give these people your hard earned money and gear anymore. Theres a lot wrong with this place. But Let me start by saying that often times when you call they answer with rudeness. If you want to get film developed you will have to wait almost a month. They claim they'll call you back but they never do so you have to check up. They rarely answer emails. I discovered a new store dunwoody photos and they can get your film development done in 4 days. I've been a customer of Wings for the last few years. They are located near my office, and it's a great place to run by on a lunch break just to see what's in their used inventory and talk cameras. They have sold a number of things for me on consignment--sold for reasonable prices, and I've bought some things, too. I've had sensors cleaned several times by them. You can trust them. Mike, the owner, is easy to work with, as are the other guys who work there. These are real camera guys who know the equipment and the business. (Unlike the clerks in big box stores that don't know what an F-stop is.) I have seen them treat an obvious "newbie" just as nicely and respectfully as photographers who were very experienced using pro-grade equipment. There are not many places like this around any more. Great camera store! Stuffed to the ceiling with cameras, lenses, filters, film, studio equipment and more. Unlike other camera stores that are now gone, they have great customer service - friendly and helpful staff. I think that's the reason Wings has been in business so long. read more

My friend and I headed there today in search of a lens I expected to spend maybe 70 on it and ended up leaving with two amazing lenses for 70 not to mention he gave my camera a great detailed cleaning. The guy who owns the store, you can really tell he loves what he's doing, not to mention my friend and I got lost on foot and he waited outside for us to make sure we found the place. I love Wings. Hot, Extra Hot, but they have to be crispy. These guys make em crispy. Oh wait, this is for the camera store called Wing's. My bad. Now that you know how I like my wings, I'll tell you how much I enjoy this camera store. I'm a camera dork. That you should know right away. These guys sate my dorky needs almost every time I go in. They have a little bit of everything and if you go by every so often, you'll find a gem of a lens or body that you may only see online. They don't have tons in the digital world, which is exactly why I shop there, though ironically I did buy my d610 from them. They also don't have that too cool for school vibe and they will always help you and not sell you. I liked that when I first started shopping there. Now I'm a regular and I consider them friends. Well, friends who have all the toys I want but my folks won't buy. Stop by, take a look and repeat. You'll find something you want and at a price that's very fair. read more

Just left from getting my film camera for my photography class. I must say, this was the BEST customer service I have ever experienced in the short 40 minutes that we were there. We were shown multiple cameras, expensive and inexpensive but the staff helped us to pick the best one that I would need for my class. When we were getting ready to leave, another staff member made sure we had all the accessories we needed and then the owner came in and cleaned my camera for me and helped me to pick out a lens protector! Wings is small, intimate, a little dusty, but absolutely well intentioned. Worth the trip.

About two month ago I came to Wing's to get 4 rolls of film developed and scanned. After the 7-10 day window(for film to be back). They tell me that they cannot find my film at all and that they THINK the lab that they were in business with is sabotaging them because they were severing their business ties. I let this go for a week cause I know things happen and I call back, they still cannot find my film. At this point I am extremely devastated cause I went through hell to get those shots that I took and they are now gone forever because someone dropped the ball and no one wants to take ownership. They offer me a refund and rolls of film, which I accept. But a refund could never remedy the damage that has been done and the money opportunities that I have missed due to their mishap. So I call two weeks later just for a update and someone in the background rudely yells explicits, saying they don't f**cking know where my film is, blatantly exhibiting a lack of empathy for their own screw up. I VOW TO NEVER GO INTO THIS ESTABLISHMENT AGAIN. BEWARE! If you're looking to get your film processed..you're better off going directly to a store that has their own lab or simply sending the film off by yourself. I don't want anyone to go through what I've been going through the last two months. The only person that has been trying to assist me is the owner Mike and I am grateful for that, but he employs some people that are just not fit for their job. I am extremely disappointed and highly upset and now the film that I shot that is filled with my memories is gone forever. read more

Chose Wing's after looking on Yelp for a good repair shop. The shutter on my camera wouldn't fire. That is, it wouldn't fire until I pulled into the parking lot. I still had Mike take a look, and he suggested a simple cleaning of the sensor. He cleaned it while I waited, and he even helped me find a replacement lens for one I had recently broken. I felt well taken care of and noticed the other patrons were being attended to nicely as well. I'll definitely be a repeat customer. read more

The only thing better than the customer service is the prices! I have lived near this store all my life and decided to stop in for help with my broken camera, expecting to have to purchase a new one and spend 500$+. however the friendly employee found the problem to be in the lens and sold me a new one, retailing new at over 400$, for 80! he also gave me advice on night photography and sold me an amazing tripod for only 40$! Brought my camera for what I thought would be a easy sensor cleaning ! Well was I in for a nightmare. They blew dust and dirt in eyepiece and everywhere else in the viewfinder. After excuse after excuse it was sent to their professionals, week later very little improvement and now dirt is on sensor and eyepiece. I had to send my camera to Canon service center and I am awaiting answer to cost of repairs. Please avoid this store save yourself trouble find another repair place. read more

My husband dropped off my sx70 Polaroid to be fixed back in mid October. Repairing this special camera was going to be a birthday gift for me which turned into a Christmas gift which turned into me getting so irritated with these people we ended up having them send it back still damaged. When he dropped it off I knew it would be a tough fix because it is such an old camera. However nobody fair warned us it would be months. If my husband heard correctly they said two weeks for repair then a week to have it sent back. Nobody ever called to give status updates (we are into mid November by this point) and I had my husband calling and checking every two weeks until i finally was so fed up i called and left a voicemail after the holidays. That is not customer service. Not to mention they weren't doing the repairs themselves they just sent it off to a third party. Oh yea don't trust website hours. Checked site January 2nd and it said in bold black letters store would reopen for business jan 2nd and not to my surprise when I called they were closed. On that note if anyone knows of a shop that does camera repairs IN store and can keep their customers informed for repairs that may take a while, please let me know! read more
