From the start Martin went over the aircrafts fascinating history and what he's done to the plane since he has owned it. The plane is a beautiful and very well taken care of L-17 Navion and Martin has put a lot of work into this unique aircraft. After going over the aircrafts history he briefed us on the the days flight and walked my son through a pre-flight check of the aircraft. He explained the aerodynamics of the plane and went over the controls. After a thorough check it was time to fly! The flight was an amazing experience for my son and myself. Martin flew us over our house as well as Lake Conroe. He explained radio communications and went over important gauges to watch while flying. He even let my son do some maneuvering of the plane! After the flight we did a debrief and Martin went over a bunch of programs that my son can get into for aviation. The best part of this experience is that my son is now hooked on flying! I attribute this directly Martin and the experience that he provided that day. Thank you sir for making this a special birthday for my son and for sparking his interest in aviation!

Tidal aviation does everything to perfection. They have a luxury office, with conference rooms for briefings, and a beautiful lobby. The airport is set up with immaculate hangars and a nice boarding/valet space to enter your plane from. The CFI's had water bottles on board, and provided bose headphones for the flight. They fly brand new cirrus planes (I flew a cirrus SR20) with all the bells and whistles. Air conditioning on board kept me very comfortable, and I was able to read the instrument panel with ease. Excellent avionics. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I was very impressed by their state of the art tech, where they were able to show me 3-d models of my flying. This school was a pleasure to fly with and I highly recommend it for anyone looking into an upgraded flight experience

It jumped up $75 at the last moment bc my plane was down and the only thing available was a SR-22, hence the price hike. After the flight debrief I left my bag there. Living so far I was not able to pick it up before I went overseas. When I come back the person I dealt with was fired and the current management literally said "we can't find it. We lost it. And there's nothing we can do about it." After a year of back and forth of with them to at least replace the bag that they lost/stole. Today I was told There would not be any compensation of any type, at all. And when I asked the managements email the receptionist claimed she had a meeting to go to and that she would send it later. How is this place responsible for things that fly? Now to find a new flight school with cirrus planes.

Joy and her awesome husband Jerry (wizard airplane mechanic and a pilot himself) have such a friendly operation and GREAT instruction. I'm a former F-16 pilot and take my training seriously and want it to be professional. That's the ONLY way Joy does it. And if she makes a radio call while we're flying, invariably one of her former students will recognize her and say 'hi'--this is the respect this Texas Lady carries. Even doing acrobatics, she will not tolerate a lopsided loop or a crooked cuban eight. If you want to learn to fly starting out or adding a type rating, and you want to do it the RIGHT way, this is the place.

My favorite is the Diamond DA-40 for now, possibly the only one you can find for training/rental south of Dallas. The star of the show is their Cirrus lineup and sim. Perfect for transition training to the remarkable SR 22. They're dedicated to safety, have shown flexibility to accommodate my busy schedule, and have been so supportive and encouraging. Great attitude, planes, facility at a nice low stress airport. I'm truly enjoying my experience and encourage anyone seeking to start or continue their flight training to visit.
