With hard work she improved tremendously within six months of tryouts. She tried out again and made the JV team at MHS, the following year tried out again and made varsity. HEC has a wonderful process to progress cheerleaders to reach their potential. Within her first year at HEC she could solidly do a full. Follow me: Weds (10/1) tuition was due for the week of 10/5/2025, meaning that the week of 9/22…read morewould cover the week of 09/29-10/03. My daughter was picked up late on Monday, 09/29, +$30, and I was late on tuition on 10/01/2025, +30 on top of the tuition. So, on Thursday, I emailed this to Marqueda so we could come up with a payment plan, and I agreed through email. Earlier this Thursday morning (10/02), my daughter was rejected care, not because of my past-due balance on a day-late tuition, but because it was 7:15 am. I was confused because there was no school, and La Petite promotes that on school days, the drop-off time is 6:30 am- 6:50 am, so the kids can make it to school on time. So I had to turn around, call my job, and tell them I had to miss work because of the situation. Second offense, on Friday (10/3), there is still no school for HISD kids. I arrived at La Petite at 6:30 am, and there was no one there to receive my child. At 6:40 am, a lady pulls up and lets us into the building. I'm thinking to myself, "Well, this is strange. Parents have 10 minutes to check their kid in for care, and my daughter is the only one here. This cannot be true that the cut-off is at 6:50 am. I would see other kids pulling in." Then, the daycare teacher who let us in, my daughter, and I see a lady come from the back. I asked her if she had been her the whole time because I had been calling and knocking on the door. She responded, "Yes, she was her, but she could not hear." La Petite is 30 minutes away from my job; therefore, I would be late the day after I had to call out of work because of La Petite. I left a voicemail for Marqueda on Friday, 10/3, expressing my frustration about the situation, and somehow I was gaslit. She said that "I went into working on Thursday, thinking it was Wednesday, so I didn't know they had school, but upon reviewing your account, I see that you're delinquent, and she wouldn't have been able to stay for care on Thursday anyways." Well, that's confusing because remember I said at the beginning of the review that I paid 9/22 would cover the week of 09/29-10/03, so that made no sense. Then, even if so, I responded to the email of the payment plan, and said I would pay on Monday since I was late for the week of 10/05. She proceeded to say I was screaming at her when I was not. She said that I would not let her speak when I asked her throughout the conversation if it was okay that I spoke. She told me that most parents tell them ahead of time that their kid will come in when there is no school, or they will watch them at their house. Like I mentioned before, 10/2 and 10/3 were paid for previously; they always pick her up from school on Thursday and Friday, so why would she not be accounted for? It seemed as if anything I said in response was being turned into something else because of deflection. I had to end the conversation and call corporate.

How they do that is that they offer courses centered around professional and personal development. It's a lot introspection and discovery through guided conversations. As humans we have a lot baggage we carry around that tends to interfere with us making the calls that we really want to make for ourselves. I don't recommend this program to anyone who isn't willing to do that kind of work. If you have a hard time genuinely apologizing to other people you more than likely are also not the kind of person that would get what there is to get out of these programs. It can be difficult to own up to the fact that a lot of times what gets in the way of you and getting the things you've always wanted to be is....you! (How you can finally get that out of the way, you learn that in the programs ;) ) If you ARE the kind of person that's interested in growing, expanding, making your already great life even BETTER and BIGGER, if you're the kind of person that wants to influence people, be a higher level leader, have more of an impact in your community, and want to do the work it takes to get there, then this is the place to go. The staff are caring and great, and always make you feel like you're the coolest person in the universe when they greet you.
