I purchased one of their Philly Cheese Steaks to go. When I opened it up 20 minutes down the road I was shocked. Some fool at the shop put lettuce, tomatoes and mayo on my steak!!! WTF! I went for the first time today and ordered a Philly cheesesteak that was served half filled with lettuce and tomatoes. Who puts lettuce and tomato on a Philly cheesesteak? Full disclosure: I've been working in the area of this place for about almost 5 months and kinda looked at is as a last resort lunchspot. I supposed I've done this because they're located in a building along with a gas station. Because of that, I've have pretty much ignored ...no, wrongly disregarded this eatery. Anyhoo, my first visit here, was because I was really wanted a burger. I mean a really good burger but didn't have the time to hit up a different place I'd been eyeballing. So I ended up stopping there to get one. Man. The burger was pretty good. Cooked to my asking. Came with perfectly cooked fries. I was shocked & pleased! Then I went today for lunch to copycat my co-worker's lunch that he'd gotten from there the other day. I got the "Atlanta Hibachi Rice" w/chicken & shrimp in sweet chili flavor. So good. It also has veggies like carrots, cabbage, onion & broccoli. Again, so good, seasoned well and cooked to perfection. The lesson for me is not to judge a book by its cover. This is place is easily one of the best wing places I've been to. It is definitely one of those hole in the wall restaurants as it is located in a corner next to a shell gas station. Don't let that deter you from trying this spot out though, because you will regret it. I came here on Sunday during lunch, which goes against what is said here because they are in fact open Sunday's from 12pm-9pm. I was in the mood for wings coming back from Duluth and remembered this spot was on the way back home. Since I arrived right at lunch, I was there the first one there and was greeted and had my order taken within seconds. The inside of the place doesn't particularly stand out, but it is clean. This place also sells a lot more than wings and sandwiches, such as fried rice dishes. So just like their location, don't let their name fool you either. One great thing about this place that I haven't seen at other wing spots is a mirror where you can watch them make your wings from beginning to end. This is great transparency from their part as you can ensure they are making your wings correctly and cleanly too. For my first time here I went with a 30 count of wings with half lemon pepper and the other half extra spicy which came about to about $23, a great price for the quality of wings they serve you. All the wings have a nice crunch to them with every bite you take which is consistency I can't find at other wing spots I've tried. I would recommend going with their spiciest option for hot wings if you love them hot as their extra spicy was just missing the extra kick to make them perfect, but were still enjoyable nonetheless. It took about 10min from ordering my wings to receiving them and the cashier handed them straight to me in my table even though I ordered it to go. It is small details like this which I really appreciate and make these small unknown places stand out from bigger, more noticeable wing spots. I don't think there is a thing that I've tried and haven't liked. The whole menu is super good and all seems fresh and clean. I really like their rice dishes but no matter what I get its always enjoy it. The staff is nice and relatively fast and though there are cheaper places to eat in the are, the prices are not too bad. Even though this small Korean family run business is connected to a Shell gas station, the items they offer are fast, affordable and delicious. So naturally, I was curious to try this place after driving by it so often. The inside is small and simple with a few tables and booths. Accompanied by one TV in the back. One would start by viewing the overhead menu and ordering at the front left where the cashier and counter section is located. After ordering, you would then make your way around the corner slightly to the self serve beverage (soda and tea) and condiment area. The place could use some renovation but everything has been kept well maintained and clean. Most people seems to order head and take the food to-go anyways. My husband came along as usual. We both got a 10 piece wing combo (wings and added fries + drink). We decided to skip the potato tornado this time as the combo already came with fries. For those that are curious, a potato tornado is a popular Korean street food snack which is basically a curly french fry on a stick. I will say the price has increased slightly so I took a picture of the new menu prices. Despite the price increase, the price is still very competitive. Customer service I cannot really comment on as my husband did all the talking lol. He gets excited when I agree to eat wings with him. But the family seems very nice. The lady who took the order and also gave us our order always had a smile :) As for the food, it was solid. The wings are small, hot, fresh, juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. The fries were the crimped texture type that go well with wings. A few pieces of celery on the side as well. Choose lastly a sauce of ranch or blue cheese. I have been to about 6 , however this one has gotten it right. The atmosphere is clean and the food is very good! The Philly cheesesteak and 5 wing combo was a lot of food and at $12 which included a fountain drink, it was a very good price. When done you will find yourself gnawing on the stick for delicious remains. Forget baked potato or French fries this is the bomb. All this for a couple dolllars. The wings are excellent. The cashier order taker was friendly and helpful. The blue cheese was good. Next time I will try the beef and lamb gyro it looks good.
