    Ohhhh man this place is good quality food, great quantity, for a relatively low price! Def recommend if you are craving some good jjajangmyun that's not hard on your wallet. The place itself is pretty big, lots of seating. I came in with a couple friends on a Saturday evening and it was packed. The service was good and food came out fast.

    Second time coming here and never been disappointed. Fast service, quality food and big portions. Had the Jjam Jja Myon, $17.97, but the portion is huge. Can taste both black bean sauce noodle and spicy seafood noodle. Taste very authentic and can't go wrong with this dish.

    Looked forward to checking out Zoong Guk Jib after reading the raving reviews. My fam grabbed lunch on a Saturday afternoon and the restaurant was bustling. The restaurant is larger than I expected from its exterior. Casual dining area with tons of food items on the menu. We ordered: Shrimp fried rice ($13.95), Jjajangmyun ($7.95) and a seafood noodle dish. I was pretty disappointed with my jjajangmyun and felt it could use more seasoning. Actually, everything we tried was rather bland - and this is coming from someone who enjoys food on the blander side. The portions are good, everything on the menu is reasonably priced. The service was good. No complaints or issues. Overall, Zoong Guk Jib was just OK for me. I wouldn't recommend it, but wouldn't be against giving it another try some time.

    I was in Atlanta for a business trip and was staying near a co-worker in Duluth who took us here. Coming from the Bay Area, Korean food for me is Korean BBQ and Korean Hotdogs. Going to an actual dine in Korean Restaurant was a whole new experience. Lots of parking outside, the restaurant was clean, the staff were very attentive. My coworker ordered their popular dishes that we are trying for the first time: Jjajang myun (black bean noodle), jjam bbong (spicy seafood noodle), and Tang soo yook - sweet and sour pork dish. They also had Chinese dishes so we added Mongolian Beef that we all know. Service was fast and food was served hot. Everything was delicious, I like that the sweet and sour sauce was separate rather drenched that we could just dip the fried pork in it. The Black Bean Noodle and Spicy Seafood noodle were very tasty. You can request the spicy/hot level to your preference, or request for non spicy. Huge servings, we even had leftovers to take home. I will definitely come back to try other dishes. Highly recommend Zoong Guk Jib if ever in the Duluth area. They sure made a lasting impression that I will be looking for these items in Korean Restaurants here in the Bay Area. :)

    Zoong Guk Jib is the best Korean-Chinese restaurant in Georgia. This place is about as "authentic" and legit as it gets in the States. That's all you need to know. If you want details, keep reading. Zoong Guk Jib or "jung-gug jib" is Korean for "Chinese home." The business opened in January 2022. It's located in the Duluth Village shopping center (Pho 24, Harue Korean Chicken, Rothem Cafe, White Windmill) on Peachtree Industrial Blvd, south of Pleasant Hill Rd. It replaced Korean homestyle restaurant Seoul Shin Jung (which I rated four stars back in 2017): https://bit.ly/3veSv0l This place is popular, especially among the local Korean community. Try calling and making a reservation. We were able to get a reservation for our party of nine on a Sunday at 6:30pm. When we arrived, the restaurant's two dining rooms were completely full. We heard that waiting for a table here is common. Good luck on the weekends. This is one of those Korean businesses in Duluth that's owned and operated by Koreans for Koreans. Case in point, specials on the blackboard menu, just inside the entrance, were written in Korean only. Don't let that stop you though. The regular menu wasn't great when it came to English translations, but there were helpful pictures and the servers (at least, the ones we interacted with) were nice and accommodating. Plus, you can research what to order on Yelp beforehand. Below is a list of what we ordered, using the restaurant's English descriptions. I'll try to elaborate more on each. This list should give you a good idea of what this place has to offer and how much everything generally costs. I've been to my fair share of Korean-Chinese restaurants on/around Buford Highway and in Gwinnett County over the years and I don't remember any coming as close to Zoong Guk Jib in terms of variety. For example, they offer six different kinds of jajangmyeon and seven varieties of jjamppong (spicy noodle soup). Pretty much all the Korean-Chinese staples are on the menu and we got most of them. Noodle * Jjajang Myun x2 ($7.95 each) - noodles with black bean sauce, pork, and vegetables * Hae Mul Szechuan Style Jjajang Myun ($26.95) - noodles with black bean sauce in Szechuan style with seafood, pork, and vegetables Pork * Chopssal Tang Soo Yuk x2 ($21.95 each) - fried pork with sweet rice flour with sweet and sour sauce * Mapo Tofu ($20.95) - stir-fried tofu, minced pork, vegetables in chili bean sauce. Chicken * Kan Poong Ki ($22.95) - fried chicken in sweet and sour garlic sauce with spicy peppers and vegetables Shrimp * Creme Sae Woo ($28.95) - fried shrimp in creamy lemon sauce Special Dishes * Palbochae ($32.95) - stir-fried seafood and vegetables in spicy oyster sauce * Yan Jang Pi ($33.95) - stir-fried starch sheets with beef, vegetables, and cold seafood and vegetables Side Dishes * Small White Rice x5 ($1.95 each) Everything was fresh, outstanding, and well executed with generous portion sizes. I think Zoong Guk Jib has the best Jjajang Myun in metro Atlanta. It's the best among those I've had in recent memory. The restaurant gets everything right, from the noodle texture to the balance and flavor of the jajang (fried black gravy) that covers the noodles. This was my first time trying Hae Mul Szechuan Style Jjajang Myun. It was something else. The best way for me to describe it is it's "Jjajang Myun Paella," complete with jumbo shrimp, shell-on mussels, octopus, and squid plus pork and greens. The Chopssal Tang Soo Yuk (fried pork) and Kan Poong Ki (fried chicken) were excellent. Both are served with sweet and sour sauce, but the sauces are different. The Chopssal Tang Soo Yuk sauce came with onion, carrot, red cabbage, and cucumber. The sauce was served on the side. For one dish, we poured the sauce on top. For the other, we dipped the pieces of pork into the sauce. It was yummy both ways. I really enjoyed the rice flour batter which had a softer, more delicate consistency. The Kan Poong Ki is similar to American Chinese food, e.g., fried chicken with sugary sauces, but better. I recommend the Palbochae, Yan Jang Pi, and Mapo Tofu. These dishes were filling, satisfying, and packed with flavor. You need to order them with rice. Unlike a typical Chinese restaurant, rice must be ordered separately here. The Palbochae and Yan Jang Pi amount to large stir-fries of meat and/or seafood with veggies and tasty sauces. Add squeeze-bottled spicy mustard to the Yan Jang Pi. The mustard elevates the dish to another level. The Mapo Tofu here is some of the best around. Complimentary kimchi and pickled takuan (danmuji -- yellow daikon radish) was served with our meal. Crisp and delicious. Service was great. Despite a busy dinnertime service, our entire order came out fast. The staff was friendly. And they provided plenty of scissors for us to cut the noodles.     Came here to have my sister's birthday dinner. Walking in, it seemed like it would be a good choice as it was busy. We ordered Bu Sut Ya Chae Tofu, Chopssal Tang Soo Yuk, Mongolian Beef, and Haemul Jaengban Jjajang Myun. I would say the food was ok. Nothing was spectacular, which was disappointing. Duluth has so many asian restaurants, so unsure what is keeping this place in business. Not really much else to say. Most likely will not return.

    Heard that the jjajang myun was really good here, and it did not disappoint. For only $8, it was a generous portion. The noodles were nice and bouncy. We also ordered the pork and shrimp sweet and sour dishes, and that was plenty to share amongst 4 people. They were fried perfectly. The interior is nice and the staff is very friendly. Would definitely recommend this place if you're craving Korean-Chinese cuisine!

    Overall, clean and spacious restaurant with good service. Only thing that could he improved is the food, but it definitely wasn't bad at all. I got the jjm and the mapo tofu and both were pretty solid, but probably not my first choice restaurant for either of them. Definitely a family style place -- most of the portions are quite large. Would like to come back and try the sweet and sour pork though

    The restaurant name makes me laugh - as Jang C said in his review, it literally means "Chinese Restaurant" in Korean. The standout dish is their sweet & sour pork b/c it's made with sweet rice flour. The other popular dishes - Jja Jang Myun and Jjambbong which are pretty good but I might say I've had better. Space is nice, and the service is very friendly. They offer complimentary hot barley tea. COMPLIMENTARY BANCHAN Typical of Korean Chinese restaurants, banchan was just kimchi & daikon. JJAM JJA MYUN - $14.95 I always like to get this dish so I can check out both the Jja Jang Myun and Jjambbong - you can half of each. Their noodles are orange, had a nice chew, and good. I thought the Jja Jang sauce was salty and tasted just ok. The Jjambbong broth had a very good flavor - contents included 1 shelled shrimp, 3-4 mussels, maybe 1-2 squid, lots of onions, and a few bok choy. Portion was good. CHOPSSAL TANG SOO YUK - $22.95 Pricey dish but you do get a heaping pile of fried pork, and the sweet & sour sauce is served warm and separately for dipping. As I mentioned earlier, what makes this dish special is they use sweet rice flour which gives it a new chew. Highly recommend ordering this dish. Next time I'd like to try their other dishes - and definitely order the Chopssal Tang Soo Yuk again :)

    I've been here too many times to count and it's hands down the best Korean Chinese restaurant in Atlanta. The serving size is generous, especially their jjamppong. The jjajangmyeon is good as well but the sauce is a bit bland so I prefer the Gan jjajang-- it's definitely worth the $4 difference. Their tangsuyuk is amazing as well--perfectly crispy and chewy!

We decided to share everything we ordered. The first dish we tried was the Szechuan noodles. The flavor was excellent, but unfortunately, the dish arrived only lukewarm, as it appeared to have been sitting for a while before being brought to the table. Next, we ordered soup dumplings, but the restaurant accidentally brought out pan-seared dumplings instead. Thankfully, they let us keep them while they prepared our original order. The pan-seared dumplings were actually very good--piping hot and full of flavor. When the soup dumplings finally arrived, they were decent but didn't quite live up to the pan-seared version and lacked the same level of flavor. Finally, our Szechuan chicken arrived. It was hot, fresh, and delicious. The chicken was crispy with a great spice profile that delivered the classic Szechuan kick without being overwhelming. It was served with fried rice, which was fine but nothing particularly memorable. Overall, the experience was good but not exceptional. The food had some strong points, especially the Szechuan chicken and pan-seared dumplings, but the restaurant ultimately felt more like a solid Chinese takeout spot than a destination dining experience.

They were cut to bite size pieces but that's deceptive since they were bone in. Some pieces were all bone and some all meat. While the flavor was good, some might call it dry and the cut made it difficult to eat. While the seasoning for all the dishes were flavorful, I thought the salt was a little heavy.
