My family and I had a great lunch at Kitchen 121. A very intimate space that is quiet and good for smaller groups. We came in the afternoon, so parking wasn't an issue. The staff was a bit reserved but they did warm up as our visit progressed. We ordered a few items from the menu, including a California Roll, Double Shrimp Tempura Roll, Rainbow Roll, Oriental Soy Garlic Chicken, Grilled Shrimp Hot Bowl, and the Grilled Bulgogi Hot Bowl. Everything was fantastic; hot, flavorful, and fresh. Even the beverages were refreshing. The Lemonade was solid. The Peach Green Tea was new to my taste buds, and I really enjoyed it. I especially liked the Virgin Mojito, really nicely balanced and this would be my go-to drink for sure! If you're in the area, stop by and try it for yourself. I would absolutely return. read more

This location is in a strip mall and can be hard to find if using the map on a phone -mine and my friends brought us in the back into an industrial area. I thought I was in the wrong place but just follow it around! The food is pretty good - I had the bulgogi stir fry and my friend had the chicken. Again both very tasty, especially the proteins I thought were cooked well. Good cuts that were not too fatty and not overdone and dry. The space is very small, I might describe it as a bit tight. I would say that it is not a place with a lot of privacy. The service was fine - you walk in and go to the counter to place your order and they bring it to you when it's ready. Presentation on the dumplings were cute and they come with the quintessential sweet/savory sauce to dip in. Udon soup was great and a classic, with two pieces of shrimp tempura. Salmon bowl came with seasoned rice, salmon of course, and a separate bowl of assorted veg (lettuce, pickled radish, red onion, and cucumber). my partner said that there was like a lemony/citrusy dressing/sauce on the veggies and said he wished he had more lemon to squeeze into his bowl. The "dining room" was much smaller than I expected but it had a nice, relaxed vibe (with Sailor Moon playing in the background) We ordered the Oriental Garlic Chicken which was AMAZING! Had the perfect crunch but juicy texture and the sauce was everything! We also tried the Bulgolgi bowl which if you love a runny egg, pretty good. If not ask for scrambled. I believe my sister had the fried shrimp bowl which was also amazingly juicy and crispy at the same time. Add Eel sauce to any of this and it takes it to the next level! Lastly my sushi loving son ordered the rainbow roll which was decent. Fish definitely tasted fresh but sauce was needed to add flavor. Because space is limited, the ambiance can feel either quiet or loud depending on the crowd inside. The service was efficient and friendly. We got the Yummy Yummy Roll and Double Shrimp Tempura Roll which were their special rolls. The rolls were massive! I could have gotten half of it and been satisfied, but they did cost $16 so I guess it is good that the rolls were big. The Double Shrimp Tempura Roll came with a small popcorn chicken on top of each roll which was interesting. The popcorn chicken tasted good and while I thought my roll was tasty, especially with the spicy mayonnaise drizzled on it, there was a lot going on in terms of what was in and on it. I would like to come back and try their Korean fried chicken! I would probably give this place a 3.75/5 if I could. I think people who like Asian fusion will enjoy the food here. read more

I'd love to try their lemon pepper or sweet onion chicken next time. DOUBLE SHRIMP TEMPURA ROLL - $16 Shrimp tempura, crab meat, avocado, cucumber, popcorn shrimp, tempura flakes, honey mayo, spicy mayo, and eel sauce. Wow, wow, wow! The moment I walked in, the space felt cozy, trendy, and perfectly aesthetic. I noticed they've earned a Michelin star, so I knew I had to give it a try. One of my favorite restaurants in Georgia! The food and ambiance are perfect for a relaxed lunch or dinner out. The service is nice for a non-table service restaurant. You order your food at the counter and all of your plates and utensils are at another self serve counter. But the staff still keep an eye out for guests who need anything. The seating area is smaller but laid out well to give some areas of communal eating and other more secluded spots. The use of barriers helps break up the space well. And the food is flipping fantastic! Nothing I have had there was anything but delicious. From their sushi to their bowls. Their chicken in all it's varieties are all scrumptious. The two big things I recommend are their sweet onion chicken and their miso soup. If you don't like onions their lemon pepper chicken is very unique and another favorite of mine. While it may be something to be ignored elsewhere, do not skip their miso soup. It is way better than it has any right to be. read more

We just left this restaurant and everything was delicious. We went because my 5 year old Grandson requested this for his birthday. The udon noodle soup has such great umami. My son- in - law had the two kinds of fried chicken both super hot and he said it was hot hot hot! Very friendly staff and the chef came out to introduce herself. What talent! The sushi roll we had was not really cold, which should have been my red flag (strike 2). The seating was very limited and cramped, and the manger in which one must serve themselves for plates, flatware, etc. was very off-putting. Honestly, with no hostess, waitress, and no one to check on the patrons, why are we tipping up front? I care more about food than service, so i'm bumping it up to 4 instead of 3 for that reason. TL;DR: Food was good, very popular for take out, but the dining area could use a good deep clean and redecorating. Arrival: The parking lot is a bit small, but since this place doesn't get too busy for dine in during lunch, it shouldn't be a big issue. They have a spot right in front for pick up orders. The restaurant opens at 11? but the kitchen opens at 11:30? It's a bit confusing. Menu: I came here because i wanted sushi and it had good reviews. I knew i wanted the poke bowl but they also have a selection of other offerings if that's not what you want. Everything felt well priced but the chicken doesn't come with rice which is kinda annoying. Service: Order at the counter and they bring the food to you. Utensils and condiments on the shelf to the left of the counter. A small group of people ordered before us and after they sat down we got up to order at the counter (we were initially seated because we got there before 1130). After my friend started to order, the cashier interrupted her and said he had to go put in the order for the group ahead. Why didn't he that before starting to take her order? The interaction with the cashier was a bit odd though not horrible. Ambiance: This is not a spot where you'd take someone if you were trying to impress them. The interior is in desperate need of an update and cleaning. There is a small portable fan on the floor next to the door circulating air, there are lightweight (honestly cheap-looking) partitions between some beautiful big wood tables. There are extension cords visible all over and it just doesn't feel clean and grand. Almost all the seats are also directly under AC units that were making us very cold we had to walk a circle to see where we could sit to even survive. Food: My group ordered a combo poke bowl, salmon poke bowl, crunch California roll, 2x baked salmon bowl, red pepper fried chicken. Honestly, all the food was amazing and we really enjoyed it. The baked salmon roll comes with 8 pieces but they were on the smaller side, none the less they tasted fresh and flavors worked well together. The poke bowls were very big and like other reviews said were mostly veggies and small portions of fish. The only issue here is that i asked for the pickled radishes on the side and he took the time to note it, but it did not show up that way. So if you have any allergies, just be very very careful. The fried chicken was crispy and the sauce was good and got spicier as leftovers, and it was a huge portion. As mentioned earlier, as an asian restaurant, it's sad to see rice being an extra charge and $2 for a small bowl is a bit annoying. Overall: I think we'll do take out in moving forward as the food was good but the restaurant itself was nothing to be missed. read more

This is becoming my favorite place for sushi in GA. Portions are official and the taste and flavors are deeply layered. Their special eel roll is to die for. Excellent miso soup and seaweed salad as well but the sushi is top notch and the star of the show. It's not really a service restaurant but the vibe and ambiance make it feel like home. The tvs are playing cartoons and a variety of options. If I lived closer I would be here often. I have to try the fresh chicken as well one day. It's on the list for sure. read more

We tried this soy garlic chicken (boneless), combo sushi bowl, and a baked salmon roll. The soy garlic had good flavor and the chicken was tender. We weren't expecting boneless but it was tasty. It would have helped to have a side or something but the sides were sold separately. Chicken was 16. The combo sushi bowl was 13 with salmon and tuna. My only issue with it was that it had a smaller serving of protein than most poke bowls but they put more veggies instead. If you like the pickled veggies and seaweed salad, you may not mind but I'm used to seeing more protein. It was beautifully assembled with a light refreshing soy sauce like sauce. It paired well with the chicken since eating just fried chicken is kind of rough. The baked salmon roll was fair--nothing noteworthy for $10. The food was fabulous- the presentation and Plating is great, the staff is super helpful, the ordering process is great. My kid actually loved the chicken and she's a picky eater. I had sushi and it was as good if not better than the popular hibachi place down the road. The Brussels are a great appetizer but note they are on the sweet side.
