Great food, the wait time on pickup orders is probably the most accurate in abilene, as most places are 20-30 minutes behind. Staff is always friendly. I really like Wingstop. I'm able to order my wings extra well done. I like to get my fries well done too. It's my favorite way. They're a little pricey but I like to get my Hot Garlic Parmesan fix with those awesome fries. Normally, they would get a great review from me. Though, not now because I live out of town and they still don't have dine in. Try ordering extra well done wings and fries. Then drive 25 minutes home. The wings are not so crispy, the fries get soggy and you just don't get that emotional experience when having to eat at home like you do when you eat out. I usually don't like posting negative reviews but I have to say my Wingstop experience today has made me change my mind. I ordered my usual wings order and the person repeatedly it to me. I only have an hour lunch. So I picked it. I should have checked the order. I get back to work and the order was completed wrong. I called them to let them know and they said they would refund me my money. Once there not one staff member apologize for the error. This has left me with a negative view of Wingstop. The Southside location has sunk to untenable levels of incompetence. Several times we ordered out, and they read the order back to us, only to find that the food in the bag did not match what they read back. Also, several times I ordered a large amount of wings, some to eat there and some to take home for my husband who could not join me. So they rang them up as two separate orders charging me over a dollar more than I f had gotten the larger order of wings and they had just thrown part of them into a sack. When I mentioned it to the cashier she rolled her eyes and said "well its only a dollar!" My answer? "But its MY dollar!" Finally we always pay extra for all drums as they are my mothers favorite and several times we still got mixed one. For wings in Abilene I think this place is the best, for the flavor that I enjoy. The one that I always get is the hot garlic w/ parmesan it's not on the menu board but they will make it. You need to get there early because they only have one deep fryer so the oil gets dirty by the end of the night and will shrivel the wings, making the small and not as good. I love the ranch they have, I have been told that it is home made there. read more

I used to go to Buffalo Wild Wings, but service there sucked so I now come here if I crave wings (which is pretty often). Again, typical Wingstop food and service so nothing new and nothing surprising. So, why only 2-stars? Several times I have tried getting Gift Cards made and every time, they were either unable to make me one (because they couldn't figure out how to make it) or they took forever (even longer than it took me to eat my food). Another pet-peeve was that they wouldn't put in my order right away and wait a while as they were trying to figure out the Gift Card issue resulting in more than the 14-minute wait. This can be very aggravating when one is starving and there is smell of wing aroma all around the restaurant. Pretty solid wings with a few nit-picks. I had the Cajun and Louisiana Rub wings. The Cajun wings are the second hottest. It packed a powerful kick with some nice spices. Definitely had to refill my drink. This leads me to something I find odd with this Wingstop compared to others I've visited. The drink dispenser is behind the counter and you have to ask for a drink refill. Not a big deal, but when the place is packed (and loud) it slows you down from eating. Additionally, they had two people working two separate registers and one one employee was attentive and hard working the other kept walking away and performing seemingly random tasks and leaving the other to deal with all the customers. I never tire of Wingstop in Abilene. Both locations have amazing management and employees. All offer great customer service to everyone. I enjoy all the jumbo wings wether they're classic with the bone or boneless no bone. From the freshly cut seasoned fries to the homemade ranch and blue cheese. Most of the employees are eager to help you figure out the menu and allow you to sample their flavors with a description of each one. I enjoy everything Wingstop has to offer. I think people need to keep in mind that when it is busy, just add an extra 5 - 10 minutes to the quote time you have received. When it's a slow time go in an extra 5 minutes early. read more
