Stopped in on a Thursday afternoon for some grub. We love wings and have heard about Wing Stop before so we decided to try them out. We got 20 traditional wings, 3 ranch and an order of "veggie sticks" for $21.50. There were quite a few people in the place when we got there, approximately 9 others not including ourselves. Their orders came and went but ours took a good 20 minutes to prepare. I'd say for the wait, it wasn't really worth it. I wasn't impressed, unfortunately! The wings were sub-par and the "veggie sticks" were just sliced-up old celery stalks. The best part of it all was their ranch sauce... It was herby, which I like. I had already had a light meal at the hotel, so I only wanted to order appetizers and a dessert. It was on the company, so I ordered cheese sticks, mushrooms and banana cheesecake bites Everything seems to be overly breaded and overseasoned and I'm guessing a frozen, bought in product. The banana cheesecake things were awful and both the mushrooms and cheese sticks were so heavily breaded that I made efforts to remove as much as possible. From my visit, I noticed that there was a lack of leadership and communication. It wasn't super busy, there were only two customers ahead of me, and it still took a hour for me to get my food. The staff was so indulged in talking to each other and having fun, that it took them over 15 min to address me when I approached the counter to inquired about my food. The only thing the manager had to say was that "the staff are all teenagers", as if that's an excuse for no one to do their job. Once they finally found my ticket, my food was over cooked but at least it was hot. I don't see myself going there again. All I ordered was a 10 piece wing and a side of fries. Went in to order a 50 piece family packet. I was told it will take 20min for the food the be out. An hour goes by and still no food. Went to asked the Cashier and she said "oh, your order had already been called out". My friend and I were right next to the cashier and we did not hear or see anyone called out our order. Today I went into wing stop after placing a big order over the telephone. After picking up my order in the time frame they told me it would be ready over the phone I noticed that the order was incorrect and my fries were soggy. I kindly asked the manager on duty Jasmine if she could redo my order or drop my fries again. Jasmine was very unprofessional and rude and told me that it was not wing stop policy to redo the order even though I was not satisfied. I then asked for a refund and she replied that I was 4 minutes outside of the pick up time and wing stop does not give refunds or replace orders. She was getting loud with me in front of customers. When I asked for corporate number she replied that she didn't know it. One of the other workers told me to look on the wall. When my friend came into the store to talk about how that was not right, Jasmine replied to her "it is what it is" which made my friend upset because we are very loyal customers and spend at least 200 a week with them. I'm not sure if this is how Wingstop handles its customers but I felt disrespected. I did call customer service and they informed me that the district manager will call me and refund my money. It's sad that one person can make an entire corporation look bad and I hope that they train their team on effective customer service skills and how not to be rude. First he said that the coupon needed to be printed when it clearly said to show it to the manager at the bottom of the screen. I love Wingstop but this location is so disappointing. I was so excited when they opened and for some reason keep torturing myself by trying to eat here. First the good: fries are excellent and wing flavors are really good. The bad: not once can they get my to go order correct. It is always the wrong wing count and flavors. It is a good idea to take the time to open your boxes and make sure you have the right order before leaving. This location is not taking the time to make sure the wings are cleaned first. I've had to remove the skin on wings because they still had feathers. I understand that one can get by every now and then but there are too many to give a pass. I went in with very high expectations and I left disappointed. I have given this store multiple chances, and tried boneless and bone-in wings with various flavors. Everything was too salty and ranch doesn't come with the wings???? you to have specifically ask for and then pay extra just for ranch. Also each time I have gone there(I won't anymore) the drink of my choice has been out of syrup. Secondly, I have known former employees of this restaurant and the general consensus is that the owner is bad. They complained of being watched by the owner on camera all times of the day. The gist of it is, the owner is a control freak. He is on THIS site commenting on each negative comment(probably this one too). He is a bully and clearly spends more time on yelp than managing his store. I don't personally like going to a restaurant knowing that the staff feels miserable and oppressed by their paranoid/controlling/in over his head boss. p.s. slamming people on yelp for not liking the food/service your store provides isn't how to make a good impression. This is the 2nd time I have visited this location, and the service is HORRIBLE, the college kids that run this business, is horrible, management is horrible, and the sanitation is horrible at the location, each time I have come in the floor in the cooking location is wet and greasy which is a hazard to all employees, in this narrow spot, also when I received my food, the bag as so greasy and they just threw my food in the bag, all the chicken fell out, and the bag was a second from collapsing in the back seat of my car, now just imagine if this would have got on my car seats, I would have sent photos and the cleaning bill to corporate, it is just a nuisance how this business is managed and unmaintained, the pre-adults working in this location is tired and just ready to go home, I'm going in there again, but this time to take photos and send to the health dept, I work for the city and something must be done about the service and conditions in this place, nothing in this restaurant is cheap, and it's a shame this is the best the owner can do with this business, to charge such expensive prices for, I WILL NEVER PURCHASE FOOD HERE AGAIN, AND AGAIN I'm returning., but only to take photos to submit to the proper authorities that need to be aware of how this business is being ran. My LAST visit I arrived 20 min. after their scheduled opening time and was waved away by a staff member, they said come back later. How much later? They don't even open on time. By the time they called my name my food was cold. How difficult is it to fry a wing and a fry? I've been to plenty of wing stops all across the country and I always make a to go order and pay when I get to the store and that is the professional way of doing business. But given my credit card to strangers over the phone who could quit their job tomorrow and have my information is completely unheard of and unprofessional and very dangerous.
