So, I'm a fan of Winstop in general. When done well, I feel like they can be the best wings. Consistency seems to be an issue among all Wingstops (I've been to different ones in Missouri and South Carolina). Here's the sitch with this one: Pros- the woman that worked the register the day I went in was SUPER nice. She seemed knowledgeable and efficient as well. I gave a rather tedious order, and she took it down without a sweat. The food took a while, but it's always fried fresh, so I won't ever really complain about the wait time. And my order was correct (though I did order in person), with everything looking up to standard (good amount of fries, sauce inside, right amount of wings, etc.). Con- the only con I had was the level of doneness on my wings. I'd asked for them to be double-fried/well-done, but it felt like they were only fried once. You know how the skin can get soft and feel gummy? It was kind of like that, and it kind of got to me after a while. Had to pick off bits of skin that were just too... gummy. Very disappointing experience. The cashier who took my order was extremely unfriendly and seemed to treat customers selectively. I can't speak to her intentions, but I left feeling like I was treated differently, and no customer should leave with that impression. Management seriously needs to improve customer service training. The wings were drenched in butter to the point where it was inedible. The only way to describe it is a stick of butter with a hint of chicken. Next, they didn't have cheese sauce. Which is fine. I can live without my Louisiana voodoo fries. However, they seemed to make up for the lack of sauce by using sugar instead of salt. Literally nothing in the meal was palatable. I would definitely say that over the past few weeks that I have been to this location they have definitely Inproved of some levels I came here on a Saturday they told me it could possibly take 35-40 minute wait considering the fact they had big orders but they marked my ticket and it was out in 25 minutes better then the last time I was there wait almost half an hour to an hour, wing were great they just forgot the celery sticks but the shift lead with short black hair, with tattoos on one arm helped me out. As far as Norman, Oklahoma goes, these are the best wings in town! The first time I had em I wasn't super impressed. My bf ordered us the the Cajun wings and mango habanero. The Cajun seemed overly herb-y (if that makes sense) and weren't very crispy. I liked the mango habanero but it has a very sweet, fake mango flavor. I still liked it, but prefer a different wing place with the same flavor I wasn't thrilled by the first time and felt meh about them, however, a friend at work asked if I had tried their lemon pepper. OOHHHHH this is what I've been missing! The dry rub had the perfect bright acidity and crunch that I want from a wing. I ALWAYS order classic wings (boneless are not wings those are saucy nuggets gahhh) and these were awesome! I also found ordering them well done gets the crunch perfect for me, and you can easily req well done on the app! We also tried the limited time flavor, ancho honey, and they are SOOO GOOD. The right amount of heat + sweet is perfection. PLEASE DONT GET RID OF THESE. The fries with Cajun seasoning are fantastic as well. I also get these well done, I need crispy fries! I get bleu cheese for the wings but have to get their homemade ranch for the fries. They go hard. OH and the carrot sticks are really good and huge! One time my bf picked up an order and they accidentally left a piece out, they quickly called and apologized and were just awesome about it. The first time I went I had to leave after waiting for an hour and never receiving my food and I wasn't the only one. The 10 people in line in front of me also didn't received their food. This evening, I was on hold for 15 minutes before I realized they had completely forgotten I was on the phone. I called back and they took my order.
