You would ask a question and no expression on her face like a mute. What happened to customer service. That work ethics has gone down the drain. Very disappointed. When I spoke to him in Spanish to tell him not to take my merchandise out of the car because I was going to pay for it, he told me that he didn't speak Spanish and when I spoke to him in English, he ignored me and took some garlic that I was going to pay for. Had an electronic sign advertising custom made sandwiches. I tried to order and the woman told me she couldn't understand English, so I tried again in Spanish. She claimed they only had premade sandwiches even after I pointed to the sign showing they advertised custom made I think she just didn't want to deal with my bad Spanish; in which case she should have called over someone else to assist me. If they really don't offer sandwiches made to order then turn off the sign, especially after a customer specifically points it out as to why they're confused that this isn't an option read more

It's been a long time I have not visited this Winn-Dixie. Once you enter and look at the right side, veggies, veggies and more veggies!!! The set up is so nice!!! look at my pictures - they speak for themselves! Some items are a bit more expensive than other Publix because items are from USA.. some not all. For example Green Onions are 2 for $1.19 at Publix, and Winn-Dixie is 1 for $0.69... or something like that. The set up for the vegetables is really something nice. It is nice to shop there!! Self check out lanes available, although you need to know which type of vegetable you are taking to punch in the machine. read more

Great location with awesome staff. Place is always clean and prices are great. I'm fond of many budget items they sell only for the quality and taste. One of them is the tea bags without stings called Grocers. This tea taste great and it is better than the name brand. There is a Western Union to send and receive and lottery ticket sales at he main counter. They also have a self check out if you just need to get in and out fast. read more

This WinnDixie had a complete makeover! If not this would place would have been rated -5 stars... The store now is always clean, doesn't smell like feet - has made major improvements on the veggies selections, and the meat selections is fabulous! They also have so many deals with their meat products buy 1 get 1 free... I mean you can spend $30 bucks on meat and have enough meat for a month! WinnDixie are known as "The Beef People" ;) The wine selection is bigger, besides that they have so many great deals practically everyday, and they are less expensive than Publix. They fixed the checkout lanes as well as hiring employees that speak English. This place used to have only Spanish working employees that knew hardly to no English at all, which was very irritating for me since I do not speak or understand Spanish. It's a convenient location for me to stop by since it's on my way to home and to work. I usually going in the mornings when it's easy to find parking and the store is just opening. When it comes to food, I am a grocery snob. I am your typical healthy Whole Foods shopper. However, that doesn't mean I don't like a good deal like the rest of them. And, Winn Dixie has it! The prices are dirt cheap. I walked out of there with enough food for a week for $30. Wow. Prices: The prices are phenomenal. They have great sales. I bought two pasta sauces for four dollars and don't even get me started on fruit and veggies compared to even Publix. Variety: The store is pretty big. It is definitely larger than the closest Publix and surprisingly carries some high quality food products. I have been looking for a yummy lemonade type drink mix packet, and I found one sweetened with Stevia here. This was EXACTLY what I was looking for and neither WF or Publix carried something sweetened with Stevia. Publix has lots of drink packets, but all are sweetened with aspartame. Yuck. WInn Dixie has a variety of different snacks, bottled drinks I have not seen elsewhere, and a substantial frozen food section. The only thing that seemed to be slightly lacking compared to the other supermarkets was the yogurt section. But, this is a smaller Winn Dixie compared to the one near Viscaya so they can't have everything. Service: It is true that the service is not geared toward the English speakers, but they were more than happy to help me pick out a good pineapple so that is enough for me! Super close to my boyfriend's place, I stopped by the other day to get a few essentials. Walking in was like a dream. BOGO everywhere! I ended up taking advantage of a BOGO on Thomas's mini blueberry bagels, and let me tell you, those are extremely difficult to find. Got some cream cheese and beans as well. Set-up, in general, was quite neat. I had no trouble finding anything. They have both regular and self checkout. I did regular checkout and the guy that attended me was very nice. Workers did not have their masks covering their noses- plus I saw one shake hands and hug a customer not wearing his mask properly. In miami- masks are mandatory. This Winn-Dixie is disgusting. The floors, the windows, the shelves, everything looks grimy. There is a smell too. As soon as you walk in, there is a stale pungent aroma that hits you and infects your clothes. The "hot and ready" food is always left out for hours beyond a reasonable amount of time for health conscious or quality driven person to sell something. The refrigerator style that the milk is kept in became antique in the 1980s. I bought some milk that had not yet reached its expiration date and drank it. About 45 min later, I was hugging the ceramic, making a curdled milk deposit. Weeks later, out of necessity and after convincing myself the previously stated experience was a fluke, I stopped by and bought another gallon of milk. Got home, opened it, took a swig, and you could feel the bacteria "moving" in the milk. Disgusting. The staff are untrained in basic tenants of hospitality and customer service. They don't know how to talk to customers and move without a sense of urgency. On one occasion, I asked an employee to help me look for something (because the shelves are disorganized) and he threw his hands down in a huff, then begrudgingly began moving down an aisle. On another instance, I was walking to my car and a short, female cashier with short hair almost ran me over with her car. I stopped walking and made eye contact with her long enough to stop her from operating her vehicle in a manner consistent with an aggressive or combative driver. She eventually parked right next to my car and never said anything as she derped her way into the building. Bottom line: I'm certain that this WD would not meet the owners' expectations and standards of quality. I'm also confident they won't do anything about it so long as no one dies and they money keeps rolling in. read more

I used to live near here, and I still have some friends living in the area and this Winn-Dixie is basically my emergency stop :) It was the better option among supermarkets when I lived around a few years back... well, the best quality was the organic market down the street, but had less variety and was a bit more pricey... and the Publix had a wider variety, but both the prices and the quality were better in the Winn-Dixie But that was then and this is now, I haven't lived near The area in a few years, but when I go visit friends and need.. say a wine, a bit of ice, or something to help out with the meals, this is where I stop. They lack a few things sometimes, but most of the times I find what I need. And the staff is really helpful. Last time I went, one of them searched the store for an item they ended up having out of stock (they don't just point to the isle, they, accompany you to wherever the thing's supposed to be) then gave me directions to a store where I could find it near the area (not a Winn-Dixie). And so far, I've never found it full of people, maybe that's why they're so nice and helpful... The point is, it's a pleasure to shop here, at least now that I never end up entering in a high traffic hour. read more

The cashier had terrible, dirty gloves on. They were stained with dirty brown, or whatever... she asked for the Id she touched it with those dirty gloves... terrible. Also the store is not taking any safety measures, they don't offer sanitizer dispenser (as others do, like Sedano's) they don't clean up the cars. You don't even have sanitizer wipes at the entrance. The people who work there are friendly and always willing to help you find things. I recommend getting a Winn Dixie card because it will give you fuel perks and who doesn't want that? I live in Pennsylvania and visited Miami last week. This supermarket has lots of nice frozen seafood at reasonable prices. The produce section has in season fruits and vegetables on sale, including fresh tomatoes. The aisles are wide and the staff are friendly and efficient. Recently I've been in the market for a new grocery store so I've been trying out as many as possible in the Coral Gables area. I've been to this Winn Dixie twice now (I was drawn in by their ads from the Sunday paper) and have not been impressed either time. Their ads boast great prices and while it is cheaper than Publix, it is obvious that the quality of product is not even comparable. I'm a college student and one of the least picky-eaters around, but it is obvious that there's a reason why the meat and produce is so much cheaper-- it's just not nearly as good as its counterparts at other local stores. As for the store itself, there's tons of parking and it's convenient if you're in the Sunset area and need to grab a few things and don't want to spend a lot. The deals for packaged goods are good too-- I bought a lot of microwavable foods there and saved a good amount. The customer service is helpful, but just as the review below me says, very few speak English clearly, although most try. Overall, I'd say that this location of Winn Dixie is not the ideal place for all of your grocery needs, but if you have the time to go somewhere else for your fresh foods, buying your packaged goods here will save you some cash! read more

This store has become my preferred grocery store. First for its location because it's close to home. Second for its' prices. I started going there about 4-5 years ago because of their fuel perks program which no longer exists. Fortunately now they're offering something better. Plenti program. With this program you can accumulate points in a variety of stores and redeem the for grocery or gas discounts! I love it! The staff at my grocery store is friendly and helpful. I LOVE this winndixie! i used to be a publix gal, stepping foot in a winn dixie was out of the question. for some reason i felt like there was always fly's. then one day i had to make a run for some seasoning and this Winn Dixie was the closest thing available, so i grumbled into the shopping center and - hey! i found great parking! scoooore!! i walk in and i swear i heard a harp play! it was well light pretty quiet and gosh all mighty it was Gleaning! i made my way around first taking a glance at the veggies.... they are just in the most beautiful order! all in they're clean bins and all the colors are just so appealing not to mention how fresh everything looked! i kept going around and made it to the meat department and wow! Its this little separate section with everything perfectly in order and very clean, no more fly's! Other great things are that i always find that the shelves are fully stocked and the cashiers as the other yelper said speak great english. All this PLUS all the great savings make this Winn Dixie as good as it gets! read more

Three stars for their excellent deli, beer selection, prices, and cleanliness. One star lost for the fact that almost no one in the store speaks English. I understand that Miami is a multi-cultural area and the Spanish language is dominant, but the store should make sure at least one person who is working speaks even basic English. One star lost for the fact that the aisles are frequently blocked off by the carts full of goods to be stocked on the shelves. Although most Winn Dixie stores have an outdated feel/look, I think this store has made a good effort to look more modern and clean. OK should be 4 stars but I took one away because they got rid of the self service lanes/machines. Now it takes a pretty long time to get out of there when you are just grabbing one item or something quick. Now to the positives. I get sliced meat here for my lunch sandwiches every other day and it is delicious and the price is great. Buffalo chicken and roast beef is my favorite. I also love their prices on beer and wine. 3 stars because of the night time employees other wise 0 starts. The day time employees all have an attitude. I slipped and fell in the bathroom hurt my hip told managment so no one else would slip upon entering the bathroom and as I'm soaking wet in toilet water and limping they did not offer me any assistance at all or even care enough to ask if I was OK or offer me help to my car. Also in the past 3 months I noticed everything I buy is rotten!!! They have a major refrigeration problem or they are selling rotting meat and yogurt. I purchased yogurt got home (I live 10 min away) opened it and it was curdled and green. Exchanged it and same with the other one. The Feta cheese had mold (yes I made sure it was Feta and not blue cheese) and I bought ribs that looked fine but then opened the package to a horrible smell and they were green on the bottom!! Over time I also bought those "adult lunchables" the meat in them was also rotten and the cheese melted together. I also purchased ground beef... bought it Saturday night at 10pm then Sunday night at 6pm when I went to make dinner I noticed it had already gone bad. Also had same issue with onions...I. I bought 5 cut into all 5 and they were black in the middle. Same issue with the lemons and Limes and the lobsters I bought If it wasn't for the fact that it's 10 min away from my house and I grocery shop late so I need a place that's open till midnight and the kindness of the night time staff I would have given this store 0 stars! Customer service is closed at night so I have to wake up super early before work so I can try to exchange my rotten food and pray I don't accidently buy more rotten food and they always give me a hard time even though the receipt shows I purchased these items not even 24 hours ago and they few times I've gone during the day I've taken the items back within the hour and still was given a problem read more

For my first visit to a Winn-Dixie in my lifetime I would say that this place will suffice. I headed here after dinner since I needed some condiments for sandwiches I wanted to make later. This is your basic supermarket but the set up of the place and lighting give it a sort of aged feel to it. Also getting to the dairy section there was an unfathomable shelf organization that made you feel like you were walking in a maze into another section of the store. Prices will do, selection will do and I found check out to be really fast. I had trouble leaving the place as two shopping carts were trying to jostle their way through in too small of a space. read more

This Winn-Dixie is currently in the awkward stage of maintaining its low quality of food and service (to which the sad collection of green peppers and broken English of cashiers can attest), but already raising its prices to "did I really spend $3 on winn-Dixie brand mayo?" levels. So you can experience the worst of both worlds as this bastion of mediocrity continues to be undersold by nearby discount marts and overmatched by Publix perennial quality and service. Ok, so this place is down the street from my apartment and though I'd much prefer to shop for groceries somewhere else, I can't overlook the convenient little gems hidden within. For example, the shoe repair place has saved several of my favorite pairs (and even some handbags) for a very reasonable fee. And the cuban cafeteria next to it has the most amazing croquetas in the area (even better than Moulin Rose). And let's not forget Shinju. I mean, the parking sucks. This Winn Dixie on 87ave and sunset is disgusting, it looks dirty overall,it has the sorriest meat department i have ever seen, they have two or three packs of meat, the selection is horrible. The cashiers are the rudest i have ever seen, they need intense training in customer service. It's really sad the upkeep of this Winn Dixie. I live a block away and only go there for emergency items, I do all my groceries at Publix on usi and 132st its 15 minutes away from its a pleasure to shop there, the cleanliness and the friendly staff.
