I was…read moreincredibly impressed from start to finish, and after having my bathroom remodeled, I feel like I found the unicorn of contractors. First, Fadi was incredibly respectful. He explained things to me without ever making me feel talked down to or "mansplained" to--which, as a woman who likes to understand how things work, I really appreciated. When I asked questions, he was happy to educate me about how things were installed and why, so I actually understood the process rather than just being told, "Trust me." He was also wonderfully transparent about costs. He allowed me to purchase my own materials rather than having to buy everything through him at a marked-up price, and he even suggested ways I could save money. In an economy where apparently nothing is allowed to be reasonably priced anymore, his pricing was incredibly fair. He listened to all of my ideas and helped me design a shower and bathtub that actually feels like me. He paid excellent attention to detail, and when I noticed one tiny, slightly OCD-level thing that was bothering me, he didn't roll his eyes or tell me it was "good enough." He happily fixed it exactly the way I wanted. He was punctual, responsive, and kept me updated when costs changed because additional damage was discovered in the house. When I had the absolute joy of breaking an old water pipe supplying water to the house in the middle of the remodel and had to deal with the city water department, he was patient and understanding while I was understandably a little stressed. He also sealed the trim around the room even though that wasn't part of the original bid, which was just one more example of him caring about the finished product rather than simply checking off the items on a contract. Oh, and perhaps most importantly, he and Moataz loved my dogs so gave them lots of pets and love. So obviously, he passed the most rigorous inspection of all. The quality of his work, attention to detail, communication, honesty, and professionalism were all outstanding. But what really stood out to me was that I felt respected throughout the entire process. He listened, explained, collaborated, and genuinely cared about doing the job right. I absolutely love my new bathroom, and I would recommend Fadi and J Brothers without hesitation. If you're looking for a contractor who is skilled, fair, honest, responsive, patient, and doesn't make you feel like a nuisance for having opinions about your own house--hire this guy. You will not regret it.

One room is used as an office/library and the other is my art studio. In my studio, I needed a floor that could stand up to water and paint drips. So far, so good. We had a bit of a time constraint in the office/library. We were having an office desk/storage system custom built to fit the space and the floor had to be done before the installation. Jacob arrived early on a Monday and completed the two rooms by about lunchtime. He worked alone but quickly and efficiently. Both areas were cleaned up well too. We could tell when the job was finished that Jacob was a meticulous craftsperson and paid attention to all the details. The floors were beautiful and the installation exceeded our expectations. It's hard to add much else to all the other reviews, but I wanted to give a special thank you to Jacob for being willing to wear a mask while in our home. We have an immunocompromised person living here and it meant the world to us that in this time of "the pandemic is over," Jacob was willing to accommodate our request. We had multiple pieces of outside wood on our pillars and the sides of our house that were water damaged or rotting. We also had a lot of continual woodpecker damage.
